this ref reminds me of Ovrebo.
-
this is the game which really tests our character now. We dig ourselves out of this hole and we have the proof that we can win any game.
-
Fuck off Drogba ..... shit on the field, and then trying to copy Torres. Trust us to ALWAYS fuck up whenever Urnited give us a chance.
-
If you can make him do that I'd say you're damn good at FIFA 11 on your XBox/PS3 and .... Oh wait...

Meh..... Kalou isn't good enough to be part of our squad in any role, so there's no point trying to keep him, let alone keep him happy. But since I realise that many here still feel he is, and that we should give him time to "realise his potential", I'll just let this rest for now.
-
Of course he is but then again, surely, even AVB can make mistakes - the substitution against Valencia comes to mind. Just because AVB chooses to keep him won't necessarily make it the right decision and does not mean that we can't question it. At least not after seeing Kalou get worse every game over the past couple of seasons. The longer you keep it the bigger the problem.
-
Fair point. Better than letting him leave for free. Whether or not someone will be willing to buy him at the price we'd want to sell him, is another thing though. Given the fact that Roman isn't exactly running out of money sometime soon, AVB won't be too uncomfortable to hold on to him for a while. And give him the time to get those late tap-ins against the likes of Wigan in the CC and get the super-sub nonsense going again. And every organization (yes, even those who don't want to be world class) should let go of employees who have consistently failed to deliver and give a chance to people with the right potential. Especially those on a 60k per week wage. On a side note, do you really think he is worthy of a new contract?
-
And he deserves no less. Ok, so he's had a few bad games, or maybe a few bad seasons. But I really don't understand what he's trying to say here. - I'm a young player - Yeah right, maybe they should send you back to the youth academy then? - Chelsea are looking to have a great future and mine could be here - Maybe you could, but you sure dont deserve it. at least say "I'll work hard to be a part of it" Recently, when Lamps was benched and the media was hounding him, all he had to say was that its tough sometimes and he'll give his best to be right back in the starting XI. And I listen to this guy and he seems to think Chelsea needs him more than he does us.
-
Not only is he expecting a new contract, but demanding more match time. http://www.premierleague.com/page/Headlines/0,,12306~2487858,00.html The management is either playing a seriously fk*d joke on Kalou, or the fans.

The scousers clearly aren't happy with what they saw tonight. Read this on one of their forums: :541: Aguante Fernando!

Great going for us, but I'm feeling bad for Bolton. So is Sturridge by the look on his face when he scored.
-
I hope he takes a break and heads back to Spain or do something else but just stay away from all the papers and TV. They are going to have him for all three meals for the next few days now.
-
he can contest the 3 match ban and get a 1 match only, can't he?
-
More food for the Torres threads....

WTF FERNANDO?

Watching us go 3-0 down at HT in a pub full of daft Maure supporters wasn't a pleasant experience, but our performance in the second half gave me hope. With that scoreline, many teams would have given up but we came out positive, and with a little bit of luck could have had more than one. AVB showed that he can handle the pressure, and has the courage to make amends for his mistakes by bringing Anelka on for Lamps. All in all, this could've gone our way if only they weren't so damn lucky and if we weren't so sloppy at the back. Of course I totally loved the way Torres played and am certain that with the system AVB is building around him, he will be scoring more often. I also like the fact that this Torres is more keen to set up goals for his mates rather than just go on his own, as he used to at Liverpool. The skill to beat De Gea was awesome, the miss was forgettable but I couldn't care less. As AVB put it, happens to the best. Aguante Fernando!

The way Manure have started this year reminds me of last year and I hope they f*ck up bigger than we did. Right now they 'seem' to be invincible is because they quite honestly have too much pace up front, and in the wings - Black CR (Nani), Granny shagger, Dickarito and Young. The Arsenal game has really gotten their tails up thanks to Arsene playing Fergi's bitch as usual. But, IMO their defense is shite and can be put under pressure. How do we do that? By playing guys upfront who can muscle or run them down, and Torres doesnt make that list for now. Im for Sturridge, Mata and hell even Lukaka just to surprise them and make it a lil unpredictable for Sir Redface. At the back, we need Cole and Bosingwa for the pace with JT and Luiz, who i think should play purely because he does well against them and will be raring to go. Good signing IMO. I'm sure AVB has some plans for him. Absolutely loved the Meireles thread on scouser forums. Starting from " I've heard he has put in a transfer request, and I don't understand why" at 10:30 PM last night to :541: 'I won't mind 15 m plus Sturridge' at 10:40 to 'Lets do a Levy on Chelsea' at 11:00 to total disbelief and whining after the transfer was confirmed on chelseafc.

I absolutely love this guy. His energy and passion on the field, specially in some of the games during our low period last year were so in contrast to that of some of his replace-with-a-sloth-and-you-still-wouldn't-notice mates. He made a couple of mistakes, so what? There is no great genius without some touch of madness. He'll learn to control it.

Totally agree! I wish we could have that atmosphere at the Bridge, leading or trailing. I hope to catch my first game at the bridge sometime this season, but the ticket prices are really putting me off, and I can see how that impacts the kind of people who get in. Nothing against the affluent folks who can get in almost regularly, but seems like Liverpool and Manure (with their tickets prices almost half of ours?) are able to get in more people who care more about backing their team than getting a bang for their buck. And thanks to the advice here, I now know where I have to look for a seat now - the shed end.

From his recent comments, Fergi seems almost 'demanding' some lucky decisions againt us from Howard Webb. He's such a whinny and manipulating little SOAB.
-
Always knew Gomez couldn't handle those long rangers. Good work by Drogs and Kalou, the super sub. It is on now!
-
Always a tough game against Tottenham but I think we have a good chance of beating them as they've been conceding more goals of late. And wouldn't it be nice if Arsene's boys can follow it up by putting up a fight against Manure at the Emirates (doubt it though). I think we need to put a lot of pressure on Gomez through long ranged shots as he hasn't been good at handling them. Drogs goal in the away game and Ronaldo's one in the CL semi final second leg being cases in point.
-
Great report. @ Arsenal's 'coming-of-age season' . Now only if they can beat Manure at home (highly doubt it though) and we beat Manure at the theater of shit, just maybe.....

Another year... another CL postmortem. And it gets worse every year. Still don't think CA can be blamed entirely. I just cannot see the commitment in the likes of Malouda, Anelaka, Essien and hence no reason whatsoever to retain them next year.
