Peps leaving Bayern, it's such a shame he's off to City...
-
The attacking players know they can play with more freedom and can be more flashy without having to worry about getting a bollcking from Jose for not tracking back, or losing the ball in a dangerous place. Oscar was under the most pressure, Jose demands a lot from his number 10, it's less about flair and more about workrate and 'balance'.

Should we really let Jose build another team? We can't keep on building a new team every three or four years when Jose loses the dressing room. We want stability yes, but is Jose the manger for that? i don't think so.
-
Ramires... where the hell is RLC? Jose never trusts young players, never has never will, disappointing. 'Clearly it is time. Not to play four, five or six kids - some are not ready - but Ruben is a case where he's more ready, and if everything goes normal during the next two weeks, he's a player to start the next game and a run of matches, to try and get that stability as a first-team choice' Oct 2015 "Next season, Ruben will not be a kid in the development process. He will be a first-team player, absolutely ready to play and compete. And we will do the same with two or three or four players." April 2015 Come on Jose ffs, live up to your word.

The same old turgid football week in week out for almost a year now.. appalling, not to mention the negative energy Jose brings and his reluctance to bring youth through. In an ideal world we all would like some stability, but Ferguson was an anomaly, it's unheard of especially in the modern era. Bayern, Real, City, Barca all manage to win stuff while frequently replacing managers. My main gripe now is that we may lose our most talented youth prospects because of Jose and his reluctance to play them even though our senior squad have been utter trash since the start of the season. Jose is a short term manager, he creates a siege mentality that only last for a season or two, doesn't rotate and plays ultra defensive football. This works for a while but the players end up getting fatigued and fed up with his small time tactics. Just for the record i was one of Jose' biggest supporters on this forum, it saddens me to say this but enough's enough.

Still miles better than Oscar IMO, who for some reason you seem to rate extremely high.
-
Has anyone got a stream that works on iPhone?
-
His passing is pretty average, decent on the ball, close control non existant and he doesn't have that turn of pace many of the top number 10s have. He's a smart player tactically and would probably do well in Serie A, but he hasn't really kicked on here. I still believe his first season with us was probably his best, after that Juventus game i was hyped but now we can safety say that was a one off. He's a jack of all trades master of none.
-
Jose always does that, he allows the team to be more free flowing until we lose, remember all the interviews he gave saying he wanted us to playinga different style of football from previous sides he managed, he wanted our defenders to play higher up the pitch and for our forwards to press high. He then pussies out once we lose, it's really frustrating.
-
People say we played well last night, but did we really? We managed to have loads of the ball but we created next to nothing until the last 10 minutes when we went for it. In that time Stoke could have and probably should have scored from two counter attacks. I still think we should keep Jose but this is astonishing. How can a team that won the league last season with so much ease be 16th? Jose may need to look at freshening up his training methods and playing style and as Gary Neville said, play some fucking youngsters. What have we got to lose now?
-
How can Ramires play for a top side? All he can do is run, that's it. No football brain at all, so poor.
-
Terrible.
-
Jose must be a bit embarrassed after his comments last season regarding the support.
-
The express using 'The Secret footballer' as a source says it all really.
-
If worst comes to worst and we sack Jose, Jorge Sampaoli is a good shout, unproven yes, but his football is majestic to watch.
-
Remember the days when we actually debated who was better, Neymar or Hazard? pretty funny looking back. Neymar has the arrogance, confidence and swagger to be a world class player, different mentalities. Also we can compare them for their countries, Hazard is laughable for Belgium, generally doesn't give two shits, while Neymar puts in top class performances even against woeful opponents.
-
Woeful, i really hate his weak mentality, far too laid back.
-
The thing is both Traore and Kennedy showed their worth last night, but i doubt we'll see them again for a while (unless he throws them on out of desperation in the last few minutes to get a goal). The same with RLC, after the Southampton loss Jose said he's going to give him a run of games, but no, RLC only lasted 45 minutes which is funny because he was one of our better players against Aston Villa. Jose doesn't turn to youth when we're winning (too much pressure he says) and he doesn't turn to them when we're losing, so whens the right time?
-
The plus with Pep is that we will actually play like a big team, can you imagine actually dominating possession against the big boys? the last time we forced a big team to sit deep was when we had Rafa and played United at Old Trafford, Mata, Oscar and Hazard were all sublime that day. The last few months ive been slowly getting tired of watching our shit on a stick football, whether it's parking the bus or being on the front foot but unable to string two to three passes together, it's just so frustrating to watch.
-
Didn't people say the same about Douglas Costa last season? Konoplyanka is undoubtedly talented, you only have to watch him for 5 minutes to know he's a quality player.
-
I have to admit over the past few months i'm starting to get tired of the negativity that Jose brings, where has the funny, positive, witty Jose gone? His time at Real has made him very paranoid and bitter. I just wish he would keep his mouth shut sometimes.
-
Jose just doesn't trust youth players... Typical.
-
Hazard deserves to be dropped, been useless all season, same with Cesc tbh. I hope this motivates him, he talks a good game in interviews but sometimes he's far too laid back for his own good.
-
Luiz - Matic was good against the bigger sides but against teams that parked the bus it was dreadful, i lost count how many times Luiz tried a hollywood pass and failed.
