I think people still stick up for this guy way too much. If we had drogba would he have scored? Probably, did Torres ever look like scoring? His job, His one SOLE job is to notch. He doesn't do it often enough, People say he had 4 players around him etc - If his movement was good enough they wouldn't be able to track him. I find it genuinely unexplainable how he is getting into the team ahead of Sturridge. Sturridge again since his goalscoring record at Bolton has NEVER been played up top for Chelsea for even 3 games straight. Embarassing. Sturridge proved for England in the Olympics he can score so if this guy can't then Sturridge should get his chance. People are relying heavily on someone imo not good enough.

Again SWPII? Possibly. Except this guy isn't cost 21 million. He's gonna cost 6-10 Million (depending on who you believe) I again don't see how this is a bad signing at all. He will have impact. He has pace, power, a good dribbler and definitely is one of Wigans best players based on what we have seen in the last year. He's 21 too which means he has room for improvement. He is a low risk signing with potential to be a decent enough player and signing for us, I really don't see what everyones issue is with the guy. Sorry if I am repeating myself here. lol Any other winger, would cost alot more than Moses for a similar player, lets not forget going abroad for players and paying 16Million plus for something, then taking into account a new league/setting is a fairly high risk. May aswel go in low, grab a bargain who has PL experience and use it to our advantage.

Decent Signing I think as a squad player. Young, Talented, has time to improve and at 8Million Low risk. Don't see why anyone is questioning this. Equal or better than Kalou IMO. Apart from Kalou has more experience in big games, but that will come with him playing for us.

I think Give Sturridge a go through the middle and you'lll see some return from him. He will need a bit of time too though considering he hasn't been played up top for a year. Great goal by him for team GB. I think it would be out of Hulk or Moses, cause both seem to be wingers/Strikers, Hulk fits the striker bill a little more perhaps. Both are great players. In terms of cost, 7-10 Million compared to 35-40? Moses to me is a small risk bargain. And last season to me we lacked wingers, this season we will have Marin,Mata,hazard,Moses (possibly), and remember we pretty much only had Drogba and Torres last year, I know Anelka went, but never really got a run. Sturridge never got a game up to, neither did Lukaku. But they were two completely different players which gave us an edge, Drogba Powerful and a real match winner, Torres - Meh... Sturridge and Torres could form something decent on rotation perhaps. I would like to see a power striker brought in possibly, big physical presence but again that will cost big money, a Cavani would be a dream.

I agree here, This is a fucking joke of a thread. YES Drogba carried us at times, no doubt...What about Ramiers chip, Cech Penalty Saves, Cahill playing through pain, Ashley cole goalline clearence, Even Terry's red card ended affecting us in a good way! (althought I won't thank him for it) The team and manager collectively take responsibility for us being CL chamipons. Not just Drogba. Would rather give sturridge a chance and cut our losses with Torres, as mentioned he has turned into a terrible finisher...which is what matters...having striker with good movement isnt enough for us. Drogba is slow as shit, but look at the goals, when it matters he's there, right place, right time. he knows how to finish and uses his old legs well to make the runs when they mattered. Not to mention his work rate is 10x what Torres is. Embarrassing really.

While I am sitting here awaiting official confirmation, I can't help but think if he wasn't coming to us we would have come out and said so. Last thing our club would want is to add to false speculation. I think he will become our player as they said bids had been accepted and from Hazards tweet I'd imagine terms must have been agreed too. Just need to make him sign on the dotted line. Massive coupe for our club if he does come. Shows intent and also other players will look across and probably want to jump aboard to form a new era and squad. Man City don't actually need any players. Man Utd do. And we do most of all, so we deffo need to strengthen.

Yeah I have to agree, Torres attitude hasn't been the best either. People forget that...But that always comes down to the way we play or not feeding him, it's never Torres himself that seems to be the problem. I think Danny could be a better goalscorer than Torres easily through the middle. I just hate to see someone go on loan, notch for fun and then not even given a run out in that position where he was so deadly. What more could he have physically done? Torres was running away from chances, getting slated week in week out. Danny done his part from the wing, then it seemed his head dropped and he wasn't enjoying playing on the wing anymore. Now his attitude is poor, no poorer than Torres who has come out in media saying he can't believe he didn't start and wants talks about his future.

But again, Welbeck is a striker and got the chance there, my point is Danny is a striker, not a winger and hasn't been given a chance. You give him a chance through the middle he deserves and he could flourish for us. But it appears our club has no interest in doing so, when to me whats baffling is Torres has been good in a handful of games at most. I agre his attitude is shocking. But he clearly must be frustrated when you see Torres performing so poorly and still getting ahead of him. My point is he fully deserves the oppourtunity through the middle.
