While I am a bit baffled Zouma is not starting today the one thing that can't be said about Frank is his ruthlessness with the squad in general. Very few managers would have had the balls to cull two big CBs in the space of a year, especially a manager as young as him. As for Christensen, my guess is (rightly or wrongly) they're looking at his potential ceiling and how CBs often peak late.

Sorry i should have added as all as Chilwell and Mendy are in.
-
Dare I say, has Frank finally found his settled back line and keeper with only the second CB position not being the absolute constant? Should make such a difference.

Refs trying to get Everton in the top four.

We once scored what turned out to be a title winning goal at Old Trafford from an offside that should have been spotted from Sydney. That's before I mention in the reverse fixture that season our winner came from a debatable free kick. Also the following season we were dragged into a title race by two goals that should have been chalked off Vs Spurs. Every single fanbase think there's a conspiracy against their team and that teams "play like Brazil" against them while rolling over for their rivals. The reffing is shit, not corrupt and certainly not in favour of certain teams.
-
Same place you are when we get dubious decisions in our favour.
-
I can't see him prioritizing us over PL points and/or (odds wise) his best available route to CL football, if he does it would be utterly hilarious and further show just how badly we get under his skin.
-
By all accounts Madrid have tried him at CAM and it hasn't worked atall and there must be a reason it was never tried here post RDM. I love him but i wouldn't take him back now. Pulisic has taken over LW and i wouldn't want to stick him in a position he's not half as effective to accomodate a near 30 year old Eden.

Unless Mou is that desperate to get one over on us/Frank you can imagine him playing the youth team for it.
-
Think that's a little harsh, the fact we fucked up and chose wrong shouldn't mean we don't get suitable Spanish players in the future. Had we got David Villa instead of Torres we wouldn't be even having this discussion.
-
Was always going to be the case, both Blue and White clash with West Brom's home colours.
-
It started when they played Liverpool at The Emirates when they did a lot worse than we did on Sunday but shithoused a win because Alison and VVD were in generous mood.
-
Very much doubt he'll be behind Willy, he's the better keeper. He's been pretty content with being a number 2 at a top club for years, I'm sure he'd jump at the chance to carry on doing such a gig.
-
He's got them looking more solid/less chaotic but the style of football they play is diabolical. Time will tell if it's a temporary measure or if that's his style but we can only go by what we've seen so far and it's world's away from what Pep plays and like i said, more in tune with managers like McLeish and Moyes who he played under (incidentally he's got Moyes' ex assistant on his coaching staff). And they weren't great against us either, decent in the cup final but rubbish in both league games.
-
Usually I'd be inclined to agree but there's also the lingering threat of them getting Covid and having an enforced lay off (admittedly 2-3 games max but still). Not only that there's Romero who will likely be available at a fair price who's proven in that role.
-
If we do actually manage to loan out Kepa do we sign a new number two or give Willy the gig? I feel we should probably have three experienced keepers (because with the Covid situation it's not as unlikely as it usually is to be down to a third choice keeper) unless we have faith that Baxter can do a job if need be.
-
That would work if Arteta plays his football like Pep, so far he appears to have learned more from Moyes and McLeish.
-
1. We don't know they did. 2. If we did i'm glad they said no. 3. Genuinely don't get the agg of players that gave us their peak years semi retiring at Arsenal, it only further serves to demonstrate our superiority (especially when said player is pushed out by world class talent as was the case with Cech and now Willian).
-
Unless he does a Lukaku and demands a role above his station we will be insane to sell him.
-
There's a difference between displaying criticism constructively and what @R2D2 is doing. He makes constant and systematic bitter ramblings about Mount and not only that does it on threads that have nothing to do with him (for example the other day he used the Rudiger thread to slate Mount totally out of the blue).
-
Imagine being so bitter about your own players that you take unprovoked pot shots at them after we win 6-0. As i said pre match, attitudes like yours are why we as a fanbase get stigma'd as inpatient lunatics.
-
There's been a lot of talk around Barnsley's chances and yes Willy made a good number of saves but how many were sitters? Most if not all the stops were bread and butter for any half decent keeper. Compared to the one's we created where their defense were cut open at will.

First time I've had to use a stream since the Bournemouth home game last December, to say I haven't missed it would be an understatement.
-
Plus Barkley is a much better squad player than people give him credit for.

Finally got them back after 2008.
