  1. No I'm not mixing it ... Idealistic talk??? Come on, mate!!! How I see it: There is a difference in mentality when it comes to the big/elite clubs and the others ... The others would be content with one title/trophy (if they win) and the rest they can consider as bonus but the Big/elite clubs dont stop at one or consider the second one a bonus. We are now in the elite class and we shouldnt stop at anything ... This is Chelsea we are talking about for whom success takes precedent over everything (we have sacked managers for not reaching to that highest levels without considering their reputations) so it's ingrained in the club and the players and obviously the fans. So if you say Arsenal wanted it more than I would surely say that we should have wanted it much more and I m sure that the club sees it the same. Without being harsh, human Psychology at times goes out of the window when you are getting paid 10x-15x more than the average human out there, they train you to be machines ... thats the reality in today's world. Anyways I m not denying completely what you mentioned but I feel we are drifting into another tangent ... as I mentioned in the other post it started as a small observation which I hope doesnt come back as an issue for us. Rest, I feel we had a brilliant season ... we just werent good on the last day and paid the price. P.S: @OhForAGreavsie, damn! Now I have to prove read my post twice to make sure it is correct
  2. No one is denying what Conte has done and achieved ... No one talked about THE PERFECT MANAGER. Not sure why are we going there. It is just a simple observation which I hope doesnt become an issue for us. What Conte & Chelsea has achieved this season is NOW HISTORY & WE NEED TO FOCUS ON THE NEXT SEASON ... so if there is any scope of improvement it shouldnt be overlooked is what I would conclude it with.
  3. I'm referring to in game strategy ... we cant keep changing things after we lost the game. Like I mentioned above it is an observation which I hope is just me overthinking ...
  4. I m not mixing up the 2 ... In fact in all the past interviews you will find that the players wanting the double. And I dont buy that we went easy because we won the league so this was a bonus. It is a prestigious tournament atleast better than the League Cup. Clubs like Chelsea cannot be content with just winning one title/trophy a season, we should be competing and wanting to win in every tournament that we are in. Anyways, my observation was not about motivation ... my concern is that in game Conte was clueless and quiet something which we are not used to. I hope it doesnt happen too often next season.
  5. Come on, Mate ... We had the double on the line which makes us equally motivated. All i saying, I hope we dont have such moments where we are clueless ... because next season will be even more tough for us. Whether Fabregas starting would had made a difference, maybe yes ... change in tactics works
  6. So nothing can be done at all ... is that what your saying ... So just sit and watch your team crumble!!! Seriously!!! As far as what could be done ... Well yes he could have tried a different formation (everyone knows how we play now), changing Hazard instead of Pedro would had been a better option, starting with Fabregas ... etc, etc All i m saying it is not a good sign where a top manager doesnt have an answer or a counter strategy (if that was the case) ... he will need to work on that (that be a scope for improvement) ... Next season will be tough and everyone would had micro-analysed us, so we will need to be push up our readiness level.
  7. My only criticism about Conte (more like an observation) ... In the Arsenal game just like the United one, Conte didnt really have any answers on the pitch ... he normally is all expressive even when we are down but particularly in these games he just went into a zone like he has given up, he went quiet (not his usual self). If this down to lack of idea then he will need to raise his level because next season everyone will know how Chelsea plays and they will come up with good counter strategy. I might be wrong in my observation and hope he does a plan B/plan C already. Next season will be brutal and with lot of expectations.
  8. Bad game for us ... Was so much wanting a win here ... The better team won on the day. My disappointment was not that we lost out on the FA cup/a double but lost out to Arsenal who were bad all season, then they changed the tactics to mirror us and won Anyways, I m happy for the season ... Won the title, changed to a new system which worked well.
  9. Point duly noted, Sir ... my bad on the mistake ... Thanks for the feedback
  10. Awww Come on ... cut that shit ... for us the season is still not over, we play in the final tomorrow. And we are not looking for an upgrade, did Conte whispered that in your ears? Cut some slack!!! Sure there is a plan for all the new additions and upgrades ... Roman is much more ambitious than you are. your acting as if there is just one perfect player out there.
  11. So what??? ... is he the only player around or our competitors are not suppose to sign or are we going to sign every player out there ... Chill and have some medicine which will take care of your stomach. I m sure u dont want to sick while seeing us play in the final.
  12. Pathetic!!! F***ing Disgrace!!! ... He is a Legend here but these kind of acts just keeps lowering his status. Just win it, lay low and move on ... That would be sign of a good manger instead he just keeps barking over and over again as listed below in his comments on the Europa League. 'I don't want to win the Europa League. It would be a big disappointment for me. I don't want my players to feel the Europa League is our competition' - Jose Mourinho upon returning to Chelsea in 2013 'It's the only competition that Manchester United have never won and it would be great to close that circle and say we are a club that won every single competition in the football world.' - Jose Mourinho on Wednesday ahead of Manchester United's semi with Celta Vigo
  13. Oh Boy!!! It is so great to be back in the CL ... Bring it on!!!
  14. I'm sure yesterday was a emotional moment for all Chelsea fan to see the last of the old guard bidding a farewell. I thought it was a well orchestrated moved by Chelsea to give me a fitting farewell. One thing that really stood out: I was so hoping that in all this celebrations and send offs we dont forget about Steve Holland ... Honestly my worry was that we wouldnt be honoring him on this occasion ... But, BUT I m just so so glad that Terry acknowledged it as he started his farewell speech. I dont know if it was Chelsea or along Terry who thought about it but I was just so overwhelmed when he was acknowledged because he has been around for so long and has done a great job. We will keep winning titles but moments like this where we acknowledge and respect the people who work in the back ground is something which will take us to greatness. And this are those moments which makes extra proud. Champions!!!
  15. Honestly who cares ... I feel right now United just want to project itself as a club which is in the elite category and are going after marquee signing ... Not sure if that is what is going to help them to work as a team specially under Jose who has just a one dimensional strategy
  16. Seriously dont get why ppl keep coming up with the idea of replacing him. Can we get a better player than him in terms of skill set ... Surely, Azpi has few flaws. But can we get a better player in terms of dedication, passion and maybe leadership material, now that is what is hard to come by. We tend to forget that replacing a player is just not about replacing his skillsets but it is also about replacing what he brings on field and off field. For me the last 5 years Azpi has been a true ambassador of the club, passionate about his work (basically he just does what is given to him and makes his own) and he can be a great future captain for us.
  17. I feel Hazard wanted to play in this game because he wasnt particular good in the last game ... maybe he is using this for the Final. I agree that the attitude was superb which is also down to what the manager has drilled within the team ... when your out there u should give your 100%. Watching them play the way they did, got a smile to my face. Griezmann would be a terrfic addition along side Sanchez for next season (yes we will give up on the physical aspect up front) but Griezmann is surely United bound. Dont see him coming over.
  18. Unimportant match ... I dont think the manager sees it that way. Terry or Azpi mentioned that in his post match interview that the manager mentioned we need to win the next 2 match and have the max number of wins for the season.
  19. Decent player with decent technique ... but this season pulled down all the momentum for him. He didnt really get going when it went down just like our players last season. Hence I dont see him at Chelsea atleast till Conte is there ... He demands a lot from his players.
  20. Championes, Championes, Ole! Ole! Ole! Great job, Blues ... NOW lets do the double!!!!
  21. I hope so too that he stays with us ... Have my fingers crossed on him ...
  22. First thing first ... I completely agree with u on the skill set thing and what he bring to the team is definitely unique. One of the difference between Spurs and us in terms of the title race has been the different profiles of players we have against them which is one of the reason we are ahead. And I would want him to be part of the Chelsea even next yr because he can give a lot when used smartly. However my worry is that he has now won what he was always missing in his resume infact it could be 2 of those now. He could well be thinking that I wouldnt be getting starting roles going forward so be part of a project where I can get more game time. At this age most of the players think that I could have 2-3-4 years left in me, make the most of it rather then being used less ... unless U have a long term association with the club which Cesc doesnt, I doubt he would stay which will be a loss. I wish he stays and be part of this fantastic project like you mentioned.
  23. I guess the million dollar question would be, does he want to stay and fight for a part time role specially if we get more midfielders in?
