If his transfer does not put Ivanovic on the bench, I won't see much sense in this move. I can't compare this move with Azpi's cause back then I didn't know Dave and how was he playing. He came here as no one, but worked hard and is still doing it. He improved and with time he sarted to be more and more appreciated by the fans. But I have seen Alonso games and I have been not impressed at all. We should have aimed at more proved players. It's a gamble for this money, but I hope he can improve and show us that he is ready to play for a big club like Chelsea.

I think he loves the club and will play with desire as always. I loved him for that, because he gave everything from him every time on the pitch. Remember how he kept the ball on the pitch just before Baba's goal against PSG in CL. I agree he wasn't too reliable in defence and was prone to mistakes, but I think he would improve under Conte and I hope so.

I'm actually a bit disappointed that this deal didn't go through. He is young and can improve a lot. 25mln for him doesn't look so absurd this window. Would've been a good addition for our squad as we will see Oscar disappear many times through the season as always.

It's clear he won't do it this season as the board didn't bring what he wanted. 25mln for Paco is a bargain when you think how much we offered for Lukaku and Morata.

I think Silva is a better option than Brozovic, that's it. If you ask me which mid player I want, I'd say Raja, he would've been the best option for us, but Roma made it clear they won't sell for the sum we offered.

Meanwhile Adrien Silva has confirmed he will join Leicester for around the same sum like Brozovic. The portuguese is far better player imo.
