  1. I'm so innocent my first thought was the Hammers fans crying.
  2. Sounds to me like Scolari wasn't tactically astute enough to get the best out of the players.
  3. It does look like we're gonna need a VERY good coach if we want to challenge for the title with these players. In Mancienne and Cork we have some players who have impressed in the Championship. We may get back Bertrand, Sahar and Sinclair who conversely have had varying form, varying to worse in more recent times unfortunately I think we should be keeping Ferreira personally, he's not gonna be worth an awful lot but he's a decent player. Unless Hutchinson can come in as another useful defender, but I think he might need another season to prove himself because hasn't he had a serious injury recently? But we definitely need to look to our youth and I hope we do, but I hope we do so without dropping ourselves out the top 4. It's a tough ask, and we may well fail.
  4. You should be able to install on firefox on your other computer! Good to have you back!
  5. That's so fucking weird. The kid really does look 8. And that girl is a creepy creepster for fucking him. If it was the other way around the kid would probably be thrown in juvey!
  6. I'm guessing the board had already promised Wilkins he's taking charge of this game, and perhaps the club start their preparations for it straight after the last game so they didn't want to further jeopardise this preparation by bringing a new manager into it.
  7. We've not made a profit of 11.5% necessarily, just got an increased turnover. But its a step towards self-sustainment.
  8. Oh right, in which case I full heartedly agree with you.
  9. Bollocks. Bad news. Gonna knock his development back a long time, such a shame.
  10. Welcome to Hiddink. Hopefully you can get us performing again!
  11. Well of course if this is a short term option the club will have to look again in the summer... that's the whole point.
  12. You might as well face it you're addicted to drugs You might as well face it you're addiiiiiiiicteeed!
  13. He's done it before though, and its only short term. It can be done.
  14. How can we start right now? Any manager we bring in can't sign any players until the summer, and most managers aren't available right now anyway. At least at the end of the season it will be easier to persuade clubs to let their successful young managers leave, which is what we need if we want to make a long term appointment. And anyway, a long term appointment will require a lot of research, and we need a manager NOW, not in a month. Bring in Hiddink as temp manager, whilst in the meantime really do our homework on who would be the best new option. Bring them in early in the summer to allow them plenty of time to do their transfers and then maybe we'll be on our way to building a new successful team.
  15. I'm happy with the idea of Hiddink being temporary manager and I think now it looks like this will definitely happen. He's a manager who's had a lot of success with many different International sides and also has European club experience, including experience of running a club job and an International job at the same time. He would hopefully steer us into the Champions League next season leaving us in a good position to attract a permanent manager in the summer who would be best suited in our interests. It'll be easier to find such a manager in the summer. All in all I think the club have handled this the best way possible after they sacked Scolari, if Hiddink does take up the role that is.
  16. I am laughing my ass off at your sig tri-blue That said, in that situation... we go back to being mid-table, utilise our youth team more and lose some hangers-on. It wouldn't be so bad. Of course I want Chelsea to do well, but I'll always stick around so it doesn't matter THAT much.
  17. The nightmare might be true, oh god
  18. Um... what? We were successful in the Carling Cup under Mourinho because he played a first team. My point was, maybe we should sacrifice that and play youthful sides instead. Um... what? Of course winning two competitions would be a superb season, that's bleedin' obvious! What's your point?
  19. Well they say he said two months ago Scolari was one of the world's top coaches but then they quote him as saying that last fucking June.
  20. Well I agree with that, but that's got nothing to do with the academy and everything to do with the manager's in charge. Maybe we do need to treat the Carling Cup as a reserve competition.
  21. We can't assume just because Wilkins was Scolari's assistant that he's going to automatically be the same as him.
  22. CJ c'mon, I know you're not so naive to think you can just flick a switch and make a youth academy transmit players into our squad. Abramovich has poured money into the academy ever since he came and I think we are seeing the likes of Stoch because of it. More will come good, but you need to have patience and faith. It's not an instant fix.
