You don't get consistency from maturity and adapting, some players just have good games now and then and cannot perform the same week to week. That's true but to be logical Modric is still a quality player and better than Cabaye, Cabaye has better work rate, but Modric is a much better passer and has better vision, more creative. Cabaye is a good player who i hope we get, and i would rather spend about 12-13 million on him rather than spend 35 odd million on Modric.
