We had an extra man against PSG for 90 minutes of 120 and yet ended the game with 49% possession. Shameful.

I genuinely believe we are the worst 'big' team at keeping the ball under pressure; even the slightest bit of pressing from the opposition results in losing the ball.

No offence but this is such a rubbish and reactionary post. Are you suggesting all of the legitimate points made after being outplayed by 10 men at home for damn near 120 minutes are redundant because we're beating Hull?

Great bit of skill. He's got talent but he won't make it at Chelsea for reasons beyond his control. There is absolutely no reason why Baker couldn't develop into at least a squad member here. It's not often you see young players that technically gifted and genuinely two-footed.

Oscar has played like this more times than I can remember and yet he is repeatedly given chances. Like others have said: there seems to be one rule for some players and another rule for others.

Of course you'd name a defender. With the 'tactis' Mourinho so often deploys in away games, the defenders are well protected, much to the detriment of any attacking game. Even Cahill looked like a world beater in 2013-2014 when we know he's distinctly average if we aren't parking the bus. Name one attacker in that game who performed even marginally better than Kevin.

Name one player who played well in that game.

If I recall correctly KdB played well against Hull in the opener. He didn't feature for whatever reason in the second game against Villa at home. In the third game away at Old Trafford he played 60 mins before being subbed off - the whole team played badly that day (largely down to Mourinho's cowardly tactics). I guess KdB didn't do a good job man-marking Evra because after that point he struggled to get back into the team.

Yet another player getting the big build up before he falls off the map. Who's up next season for the Chelsea PR machine? Swift's turn, perhaps?

I'm happy for Salah. Hopefully he gets a permanent move away and continues to develop. It's hard to believe he's the same player who played against Strawberry in that Carling Cup game.

Willian has sacrificed his game and is doing what the manager wants...which is why he is in the team. Mourinho wants this. So don't blame the player - blame the guy who has a RB playing as an auxiliary striker and a RW playing as a defender.

No need to apologise. You're one of the few people on here that doesn't get emotional so I know we can have an adult conversation. The second half looked like our typical huffing and puffing against a team that sits back when they have dropped physically.

Southampton's intensity dropped, they sat back and we began to build play in a way that we simply couldn't in the first half. Why does Jose deserve credit for that? The thing is when a team presses us and doesn't let us have it our own way we always play like we do in the first half. When teams sit back we 'dominate'. This is why every time we play a top team we resort to 30% possession / 2 efforts on goals / disjointed football. We couldn't keep the ball against PSG at home when they were down to 10-men.

There's been talk of a new contract but I hope it's just talk at this moment. Even if we do go on to win the league he shouldn't be given a new contract. What's the rush? He supposedly loves the club and will only leave if Chelsea sack him / don't renew his contract. I personally don't want him to be given more time until we play better football and are more competitive in Europe - an easy run to the Champions League semi last season only to be comprehensively outclassed by a team with less than half the budget wasn't competitive before anybody mentions it.
