  1. Much better than Torres really isn't that much of an achievement if we're honest. I just envision a lot of moves breaking down at his feet, especially in the games when the opposition are camped inside their own half. I'm not against the Costa signing as he'd represent an upgrade on our current options. I think it'd be a good idea if we also tried to sign another forward with a different skillet to Costa.
  2. Won't pretend to have watched a lot of him. Seen him in the big La Liga games, a few Champions League games. Probably only watched him play in full about 9-10 times. It's just after watching Torres for so long I've developed a phobia of attacking players with poor control/first touch.
  3. Can't even make a poor Spanish team! Just how bad is this guy?
  4. What? I just told you dribbling led to a good chance for Chadli that was wasted and an inch-perfect cross that should have resulted in a goal had Lukaku not stood still. Then you flippantly dismiss the creation of THE WINNING GOAL as if he didn't do enough. I don't think he could get into a good shooting area yesterday. Algeria defended very deep and there was virtually no space through the middle. Any shot he would have taken would have been ill-advised. Algeria wanted long-shots; teams that defend deep would rather have the opposition taking speculative shots.
  5. First half he created a very good chance for Chadli and he also put in a great cross but Lukaku was too busy doing a Torres standing still inside the box. And then in the second half he created the winner. That's end product.
  6. If the shot isn't on Hazard won't take it. He is a smart player and more often than not makes the right choice, taking low-percentage shots will undo all the good work he's done to become the player he is. I'm happy he's not taking 15-20 shots a game to score one goal like a lot of players do in football today.
  7. It's amazing what Barcelona can get away with.
  8. From Rivaldo's instagram Rivaldo one of my favourite players of all time. Legend.
  9. I genuniely lol'd when he missed that chance.
  10. Not a big fan of this transfer but good luck to him. Much better than Paulinho, so there's that I suppose.
  11. "Hey Torres, you're not as shit as I thought you were!" Turning it on in training. Wait until the games, Silva.
  12. We live in a world of 'now, now, NOW!'. People checking twitter and newsnow every 5 seconds for new news embarrassing
  13. He would be an ideal squad player. To be fair to him he wasn't bad at the start of the season but his touch and decision making became laughably bad in the second half of the season. You can't teach the sort of athleticism he brings to the table but his lack of ability sometimes is frustrating as f*ck. I'd keep him because I know there are going to be games next season where we park the bus, defend really deep and he'sproven to be useful in those games.
  14. These crazy release clauses is relly only a Spanish thing as far as I'm aware. As long as Hazard is on a lengthy contract Chelsea have nothing to be worried about. Great news by the way. Hazard is only getting started and we'll enjoy his prime at Chelsea.
  15. Strange to say but he's quicker with the ball than without it. He eats up so much ground with the long stride.
  16. Well technically every player can play anywhere... The question is how good is he at playing those different positions?
  17. Your house catches fire ( sorry ), but your friends/family/pets are all safe. You have just enough time to go back inside and grab one thing. What do you save?
  18. Hope they don't confirm a shirt number and keep trying to get Torres to fuck off before doing so.
  19. Fair enough. We're ultimately saying the same things but in different ways. Of course Costa would be an upgrade on our current striking options - suggesting otherwise would be moronic - but our problems won't be solved by any one striker.
  20. I think the official term for it is 'f*ck all'.
  21. It's a hell of a lot easier to look good defending than it is going forward, especially in team set-up like how Chelsea were last season.
  22. People will only realise this when Costa or whoever's numbers decrease.
  23. Modric is a different player to Fabregas. He's more robust and quicker, and is able to link play much better.
