It seems that whenever anyone plays defensively this season we are bad. Take a look at Sunderland game. They went out there to win leaving us alot of space and they ended with 4 in their net. Everton game? 1:1 and they played similar football like Liverpool. With Luiz(CB) and Bran (RB) I think we will be much better in defense, and if we could finally have our attack work again we can still play like we did last season. We looked so slow and uncreative in this match. Whenever a player received a ball he would start thinking what to do instead of knowing it already and continuing the play. How you beat pus*y play like Liverpool's? By very good passing and by stretching their players around the field. I can't believe that we had Meireles unmarked knowing that he's in great form and that he's very dangerous. In my opinion Ramires should have played instead of Mikel and should have had the task of pressuring Meireles. Even if Carlo didn't put him in starting 11 he should have subbed Mikel at half time with Ramires since Mikel had yellow card preventing him from making strong tackles. Perhaps it was a mistake to let Torres start with all the pressure, and the simple thing that Liverpool knows all his weaknesses and tricks. Perhaps it would have been better to play with our classic attack or Anelka behind Drogba and Kalou and bring in Torres if Drogba or Kalou don't perform well. Still, all we can do now is to hope our players don't get injured on international friendlies, prepare for the match against Fulham and learn from our mistakes. Gotta also say that Luiz looked great. Reminds me of Carvalho so much... I still have faith in Carlo and our club and I think a lot of things can happen 'till the end of season. :cfc: KTBFFH

Not even a yellow card for Agger's elbow and 2 stolen penalties. Another great match for Marriner. This was really a match we should've won. Liverpool looked so unsure of themselves and were prone to mistakes, we were playing a t home, plus they were playing ultra defensively while we had 2 best strikers in the world and we were on a great run.

Smart move by Dalglish...he knows we will attack and also knows we won't be as dangerous as usual so he plays defensively with wing counters...but if he puts in Suarez I think that's when our chance is. They won't concentrate too much on the attack. Come on Blues! Prove why you are the motherfu**ing champions!

I think Torres and Drogba can work great together. Why? Simple reason. Drogba always pulls 2 players on him and it is hard for Drogz to do his magic sometimes. With Torres those 2 players are gonna have to split one on one and leaving space for Torres or Drogba can be quite dangerous, and Drogba himself said he likes to assist so there won't be selfishness.

It's better not to kiss the badge instead of kissing it but actually not loving the club, and if he celebrated after scoring on his debut against his formal club it would only give Liverpool fans more hatred...I'm tired of seeing hate comments on every Torres video on youtube

I agree with Gianfranco_Z on our formation, Anelka has been great in last match, we can't drop Torres. If it doesn't work that well we can make a sub later. As for Luiz, only way I see him in is in very late part of match replacing Bosingwa and playing as CB while Bran is on his right. We gotta win this match!

Well finally to see us spending huge sums of money ^^ Like you guys said, Neymar and Ganso (would fit great with Ramires, Luiz and Alex), Aguero (would do wonders with Torres), Lukaku (could develop great here), Sanchez (a right winger!) , Hamsik, Van der Wiel (if both Bosingwa and PF go), a decent backup keeper for a few years and then we could start thinking about Cech replacement, or we could use Delac as a backup but I think he shouldn't be sitting on the bench...these are all potential names for us. It's all up to Ancelotti and our board. Out? Hmm Hilario and Paulo I guess, they ain't getting younger... Bosingwa (well, he was a great offensive RB but now I can't remember a match when he made a good cross except against Ipswich for Studge), and it could be Anelka/Drogba/Kalou maybe because of Torres and if we receive a good bid (not that I would like them to go...) We gotta be careful though, I have a feel ManCity will lurk around our scouts all the time trying to offer more money =.=

The arrival of Torres and Luiz along with great atmosphere gave us that little self confidence we were lacking. I applaud to Sunderland for playing and open attacking game in the first half instead of going total defense and waiting for counter attacks. One of the most exciting matches I watched for some time!
