That depends on our board mate. I'm simply saying that Ramires will play in the middle, and probably have Essien's role. Imho we should really get a playmaker. It is up to AVB to set up our midfield.
I'm pretty sure Ramires will be used to battle in the midfield, not on the right, and that Andre will stick to 4-3-3. He used it in Porto with success, but he also noted that he used it because it was the clubs tradition and that he didn't want to change it. It is same here in our short history, and our players are used to 4-3-3.
Naah mate he really ain't that special, and he had a pretty shitty season. I think we should stick with our current right backs. Andre can probably reignite Bosingwa, and Ivanovic is too good for bench.
Bench: Turnbull, Alex, Paulo Ferreira, Bertrand, Bosingwa (can really help with attack if Andre returns him to his best), Essien, Lampard, McEachran, Zhirkov, Falcao, Sturridge, Kakuta. out: Drogba (as it hurts me to say it), Malouda and Anelka.
I hope he doesn't end up as Fiberglass in a few years if we sign him. "Oh Barca my lover please sign my sorry Spanish arse even if you don't need me and don't have the money! "
It depends what has he planned to do with the rest of our squad. We have 3 or 4 (if you count Anelka) strikers atm and adding another one is not the wisest move.
Yeah, that is the only thing that is stopping this transfer from going through Hulk would be a great addition to our squad. I said that few months ago, and I still firmly believe it. He's such a complete player. Fast, strong, knows how to dribble, shoot and cross. You simply can't find a weakness in him.
It's just a writer's opinion...I don't care about it, just wanted to share it. It's classical media talk. New manager comes in to a big club, and players positions in the team aren't solid anymore blah blah blah... Don't forget that Andre said that there won't be any major changes.
Chelsea-s £70million clear-out: the stars most at risk from the Villas-Boas axe reveled http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/transfer-news/Chelsea-clear-out-Frank-Lampard-Didier-Drogba-Nicolas-Anelka-Florent-Malouda-Michael-Essien-and-70m-stars-under-threat-of-Andre-Villas-Boas-axe-article751697.html#ixzz1Q2v1WouS Heard that too on twitter. Dunno, it will be announced though, don't worry
I ripped only what skysports has shown, not the full interview though, don't get too excited. I barely managed to catch a SSN stream. Uploading to youtube now.ETA 15mins
