Looking at the pictures, videos and what players say I gotta say that I get an impression David Luiz is a big figure behind the scenes. Always joking, being positive and helping the younger players. Love to have him He has also turned into an important figure in our defense with his runs forward and he has improved his game in the last couple of weeks. Good lad.

I thought summer transfer period is the last one before FFP come into place?

Calm down. This is why we are fighting for the top4 spot, not for the title. Games like the Swansea one will happen from time to time. Our captain and leader was out of the game. Our 2 main midfielders were out of the game. Our best striker isn't at the club and our top goalscorer has returned from injury recently while Swansea are on top of their game. Of course, these are all just tiny excuses and we should've won there easily there but this is the reason we are fighting for a top4 spot not title. Look at it from a brighter side - now AVB knows how shit some players are and has shown it to Roman. Expect a fat transfer budget in the summer and big signigs

The famous bad moment is back -
Oh yes. 2012 stats so far. Howard: 1 Carrol: 1 Torres: 0 After a full year Carroll: 28apps, 5 goals Torres: 31apps, 3 goals 85million for those 2...crazy.

Hopefully he didn't watch our game...or if he did, I hope he thought we were the team in the white shirts

I know all that mate and I am patient. I wrote an article some time ago about all those things and decisions the Club will have to make in the near future. It's not a risky deal or a bad deal. It's a good deal and yes, I am happy to have another talented player at the club. 1.5m for a talented player is a good price. I do not have a problem with that. We probably didn't want to risk losing him out in the summer and that's all fine and dandy... As I said, problem is bringing in another young player who will grind it out in the reserves, then do some loans and and still not get enough chances. It has nothing to do with Pat personally, it's just that we have lots of over 28 players and lots of under 20 players. Those young players need to play more often and when we are supposed to give them that chance we can't risk putting them in because of the pressure we are under and they remain on he bench while the older players play and struggle. It's is better to have 2 young players who will establish themselves in the 1st team instead of having 60 of them who will rot in the reserves and grind it out in Holland or Germany... Play youth, don't buy it.

Finally. I can go to sleep now. edit: LMAO we have spent the most in the window

They are rude...but to the club not to Bamford. I wish the lad all the best, but I can't stand seeing Sturridge played out of position and Lukaku burning on the bench right now an 18year old striker joins...no point in dragging Torres into this also. Ignorant to the challenges? No. I have said I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't sign anyone knowing that it's not easy to bring a quality player in january. We have problems right now and most of the players we bring in are under20. They are all for future while our squad remains the same. It pisses me of. Now we are in a tough situation. We have a big gap between our players. A group that is still to young to step up and a group that can't do it week and week out. What we do? We bring another player into the 1st group... Our similairy with Arsenal is starting to sicken me a bit.
-
Nah, just get in Heskey and dump Torres! Put Lukaku, Heskey and Sturridge all together and unleash hell and havoc upon our opponents! And when Drogba returns play Heskey as a n10.
-
Agree, overhyped at the moment, but a promising talent. I'm looking forward to seeing him get a chance in the future.
-
Agree but I waited long enough and observed very closely and I had to let it all out. For me, it's over. I will check into this thread only to check the posts because of my mod duties. This is the man I want to see - a true Chelsea fan.
-
Ah the famous Chelsea transfer policy continues to work. Things are going bad? Buy a striker. If he is younger then 20 - even better. Eh....welcome to the club Pat and good luck.
-
This is it. I waited for whole of January fixtures to finally form my opinion on him holding some tiny hopes he could get a tap in or something that would get him going. As we have seen, 0 goals in 2012. It's a complex thing with Torres and us but I think most of us feel like this. There are no more excuses for Torres. Unlucky. Not getting chances. Trying hard. Assisting. He is a liability in our team. His mind is destroyed and he doesn't have any faith in himself anymore. You need to trust in yourself for people to trust in you and I don't think he is going that right now. He has lost his pace and speed and looks nervous whenever he plays. Yes, we keep playing him he will eventually do something decent and perhaps score a few goals, but this is a 50 million pound striker on a 175 000 pounds per week! This is a player who is supposed to lift our whole team like Van Persie does at Arsenal. He is supposed to drag everyone else, not get dragged by them. Has he actually done anything to earn the support he has received from us? No, absolutely nothing. A goal here and there, huge wage bill, a big empty spot in our bank and probably disagreements in the dressing room. Kalou gets out, tries hard and actually does decent even managing to get a goal - he sucks. Torres gets out, makes a few runs and dribbles - he's MOTM. Bosingwa gets out and actually does decent - he is still shit. Torres gets out and plays like shit - at least he is trying hard. Didier Drogba, a man who has scored 150 goals for our club does not have a banner at the Bridge. Guess who has? Aw you guessed it right: No matter what do you feel about Bosingwa, Malouda, Kalou and others, these are the players who won titles with us and helped our club. They gave some great performances in the past and when they leave I will wish them all the best in the rest of their careers and thank them for their contribution. It's unfair that they get so much more criticism then someone who has not earned a fraction of the support he has received from us. I have highlighted this before and I will do it again. Just look at Arsenal. They have a shit squad, yet they are winning thanks to Van Persie. It is a pure and clean example of just how much it's important to have a striker who is on form. We win? The press says Chelsea win as Torres struggles to score We lose? The press says Chelsea losses as Torres fails to find the net He is keeping Sturridge away from his position. He is keeping Lukaku from his position and both of them are ready to step up. I am sick of everything. I used to love him. He was my favorite non Chelsea player and now I hate him. Nobody is bigger then the club. Thank you and goodbye Fernando from me, you have been breaking my heart for a full year and tonight it has snapped.

Until you lose it you don't learn to appreciate it. Just look at how disorganized the team was without its iconic captain and his leadership. Captain. Leader. Legend.
-
Exactly. I burned myself out in the 1st half and just laughed in the 2nd. When that went it it was just meh...

The tower is shaking like crazy and Andre will be the one to blame if it starts falling apart. It's getting harder and harder supporting you AVB by each passing game and even the biggest optimists are losing faith in you. You better do something big really fast. A last minute signing could do wonders. -
The Unibrow strikes again!
-
AHahahahaha the apocalypse really is coming!
-
Oh I doubt it. It will probably be Bosingwa or Fereirra...
-
Haha Ashley that's one way to earn a well deserved rest
-
Logic has no place at Chelsea if you want to keep your health in order.
-
Thank you god.

Haha Hahahahahahahhahahahahah after reading the title now. haha.
