Higuain won't sit on the bench. If paying £50m means to have a striker who scores goals, and to have someone who will keep this poor player Torres currently is, then I am all for it. True. But Higuain would have scored this sitter at Old Trafford, if you know what I mean. And, of course Huguain won't change anything about our lack of creativity. And you'll tell me that to score goal, you have to have players who make assists. I'll answer you that you also need to have players who put those passes in the net. And currently, we don't have a player who turns a pass into an assist. Drogba no longer offer that, and Torres never offered us that so far. That is the reason I was for the purchase of Falcao, and the reason I am for the purchase of a new striker.

I am for this one. He is young, talented and a good goal scorer. And maybe the more important thing is that he is on form. To pretend to be one of the biggest club, you have to possess a striker who scores on a regular basis. We do not have this. On the other hand, at the end of the season Anelka and Drogba are leaving, Kalou will probably follow them (even if he doesn't, we can't count on him). Thus, we will have three strikers : Sturridge, Lukaku and Torres. The first one isn't considered as a striker, the second is no near to be ready, and as for the third... Do I need to explain ? So it is not like if we will have a pair fo world-class strikers.. Though, I am not sure about the price...

^ He can't do that, and he won't do that. People are fooled by the fact he plays for Argentina. Indeed, in most people minds, Argentina is a good selection. But it actually is a poor team. They just have some good forwards, but other than that, they are soooo poor. And when you are coached by Maradonna, no doubt you can't achieve a thing. If Messi was playing for, let's say, Chile, everybody would agree that he can't win silverwares with his national team. Plus, for Argentina he has to play as a N°10 because he is the only player able to bring creativity (he has to every thing, by the way). But it isn't his position, he is a striker. So, we can't expect him to reproduce with Argentina what he does with Barcelona. Finaly, when he plays with the Albiceleste, he isn't that poor, and he is always their best player. To conclude, people need to realize he won't win the World Cup, that is impossible. I don't think Pelé, Maradonna, Zidane, Ronaldo and co had a team that weak around them.

It's been a while that I restrain myself to comment on the guy... He'll really have to do something. The miss yesterday was shocking. The gesture he made wasn't a gesture of a striker, it was rather a gesture from a defender who only has the opportunity to make a shot to goal once in a while. If by the end of the year he doesn't produce things, then we will have to sell him. Both because he will be a liability on the pitch, and off the pitch (yeah, he is the player at the club who is earning the most, and those £180k-a-week paid for a liabilty doesn't do us any good).
