  2. Thanks Didier ! ps: Torres, you will have to work hard..
  3. Please, can we stop talking about trophies ? This is absolutely nonsense. This isn't the way we should determine whether the coach has to stay or has to leave. We should take this decision based on what he achieved with the team, what futur he can offer us. If I want Ancelotti out, it is not because he is a bad coach or because we end up trophyless. Even if by some divine intervention we win the EPL this year, or if we had win the Champions League, I wouldn't change my mind about that matter. He could be the best coach of all the times, he still isn't the right person for what we need. We need a team which plays a defined style, a team which promote youth players from our academy, a team which favorise the talent over the experience. And we need a coach with fresh ideas, a 'new school' coach, not a conservative. At the moment we are doing exactly the contrary. Our style of play is absolutely a mess. Nobody has a clue on the field. The players just make lateral passes, or try to shot from a long range, nobody presses the opposite side, nobody can pass their man, nobody can handle the pressure (bar John Obi Mikel). And it's the coach who has to make the players play like this or like that. This year Ancelotti has no clue on what's going on, he just plays the same starting eleven week in and week out, and prays the Lord that it works. He never tries new things, new formations. Everybody knows what will be our team and the our formation. There is no surprise at all... Oh, wait, actually he made one surprise the last week, even if nobody knows what it was. When we had a lot of players injured, we needed to adopt a new formation which suit the players who were remaining, but he didn't do that. He only changed the formation once we had Torres, so he more or less changed the formation because of Abramovitch. His substitutions never change the game, and they are always the same : at the 70th minutes, Kalou for Anelka, at the 80th, a right back for a right back, and never a thrid sub. For instance, in the West Ham Vs ManUtd, few weeks ago, Ferguson has replace Evra by Giggs at the half time, and it worked very well. But we do not see that type of things.... The youth involvement is fiasco. We had 5 youth at the start of the season, where are they ? One at Bolton, one at Fulham and two at Leicester. Did they get playing time ? No. Did the coach trust them ? No. Sturridge exemple is the better to illustrate the situation. During a periode we had in one hand : a striker with the Malaria, two who were underperforming and an other one who doesn't have the level to be titular. On the other hand we had a young promising player who whenever he played was better than Anelka and co. Though he didn't have playing time at all... We can't expect from someone who has said that he loved experienced players to built a team for the futur. Finally, I do not think he is the right man for the stability. When he left Milan, they had to rebuilt the whole team.... ^ that's for all those reasons that I think we should continue without Ancelotti. I do not think he meets the criterias whom we need. Yes he has done very well in his first season here, with the double, the 103 goals and all... But his two years here have highlighted one thing : he is a good coach when he has a lot a worldclass experienced players, but he isn't a good coach when it's about involve young players. ps: if it's to hire a coach who can't play the youth, then i'd rather keep Ancelotti.
  4. Stop focussing on Torres. We're not here to make Torres score, we're here to win games. If at least he added something to the team, okay, but since he is here he is like a ghost on the pitch.
  5. ^ Yep, 'twat' is the right word. Yes. The club is called 'Club Atlético Peñarol' and based at Montevideo. It cost $ 35 000. There's something 'funny' about this banner. Apparently there's a spelling mistake on it, they spelt the word 'primavera' (spring) with a 'b' instead of the 'v'. Another video :
  6. Oh well *sigh*... Then my team : Cech Ivanovic - Luiz - Terry - A.Cole Mikel Essien - Benayoun Kalou - Drogba - Zhirkov I would start Drogba. He has proved that he is the best option we have in attack, and one of our best players, if not the best, since the start of the month. I would like to play Benayoun behind him in the 4-4-2 shape, but Ramires is injured so Benayoun has to step back to replace him in the midfield. Therefore, the 4-3-3 appeares to me as the best formation... My winger would be Zhirkov and Kalou. Yeah I know Kalou isn't good when he's playing in that position, but Malouda and Anelka shouldn't be any near of the pitch (everyone know why) and Benayoun is already in the midfield. About Torres, I would just give him 30-35 minutes in the second half. At the moment he is nothing but a waste of space. Lampard has to be benched, he has yet to play a good game (= he doesn't deserve to play) plus he can't play week in week out, otherwise at this rate he will soon have to end up his career. On the contrary, Mikel has to start. If he can't start with an off form Lampard and an injured Ramires, then he will never play (oh, I said the same thing about Sturridge). The place remaining is to Essien. Even if he has been in a bad form lately, he is still more usefull than Lampard (for instance he has provide the assist tuesday night, on Drogba's goal). The defense isn't a problem, so the same back four as usual will do. There's just one thing I would like to see : Ivanovic and Luiz switch their place during the game (like they did at Fulham).
  7. You beat me to it Well, Alex isn't a real problem since he isn't a starter, but Ramires yes ! I wonder who is gonna replace him, Benayoun ?
  8. In my opinion we should first settle the manager matter. The new players should be bought by both the manager and the board... Oh wait, it doesn't work like that here, so yeah, maybe we sould buy the players first, lol.
  9. Come on, this "won the double" thing becomes more and more painful to hear... Arsène Wenger has also won a double and he managed the "invincibles", so how can he manage to have not wn anything for 6 years ? The past belongs to the past...
  10. Then you didn't understand why people here want Carlo to be sacked.
  11. Yeah that's for sure. He would just play with their reserve. But I mean, he would be under the young players in the pecking order. He would have a role a la Gibson of ManUtd. And we have a really tiny squad, so I think we can't get ride of too many players.
  12. This is because he is in a 'bad moment' or this is because he has no potential and overrated ?
  13. Lol ! By 'squad player' I didn't meant the guy who comes off the bench against the likes of ManUtd to change the score or stuff, I meant the guy who is there to play against the likes of Wigan in the Cup to give the other strikers a rest.
  14. It isn't the real problem. I don't remeber to have seen people here who want to sack Ancelotti because he failed to win the Champions League, or any other silverwares... No, in my case I want him leaves because of the reasons mentioned below. That's why I think he should use our 7 remaining games to show us he can fix his flaws.
  15. Note that Drogba's goal came from a nice pass made by Essien.
  16. We still have 7 games to play. He should take those games as a chance to show us that he deserves to stay, ie that he can play youths, can rotate the team, can play with a defined style and can motivate his players.
  17. The players we should get rid of no matter what : - Anelka : Everything comes to an end. This is the end for him. I bet even him want to go somewhere else. - Malouda : I would be happy if he had stayed a bit longer, but since november he has shown that he is no longer up for the team. - Bosingwa : Can't defend, can't cross. Even Paolo is better than him. - Hilario : Waste of space. Promote a GK from the reserve. The players we should allow to leave us, if.... - Kalou : I'd keep him, he could be a good squad player. But if he wants to go because he doesn't want to sit on the bench, then let him go. - Alex : If he's okay to stay on the bench, then I'd keep him one more year. If he doesn't want, which I could fully understand, allow him to leave. - Zhirkov : Read Kalou - - Ferreira : I can leave if we get a new RB. - Drogba : I'd rather him staying. But if he wants to go back to Marseille, then okay. He has done great things for this club, and you could see he still has commitment for Chelsea (ie last night), hence we should respect his decision. Extra : - Lampard : he's finished, he can't play every games. He just should play a bit every now and then. But we can't sell him.
  18. Okay, my bad then. In general he is a very reliable source... Not this time lol.
  19. Yeah I also doubt of it. I just wanted to let you know... But if he really hasn't been proposed a new contract, then it's a bit worrying, imo.
  20. Yes we need stability. But do we need the stability of an average team ?
