  1. What I don't understand is why we havent given him a run-out or two in the reserves. He's been injured, and needs match fitness, and thats why Avram's probably worried about bringing him in at such a crucial stage of the season. However, he played last night (according to Esk) so I'd like to see him either on the bench v Boro, or getting 90 mins in the reserves on Monday night.
  2. So what should the England team be? I quite like the idea of the 4-2-3-1 that Italians like, and Spain have started playing. We need to play the system and the players that are best for us, and doesn't matter who we leave out as long as its the best possible line up that will win us games. E.g. with Spain playing this system, they can only play one of Torres/Villa, but it works for them. If that means dropping Frank, then so be it. (Although I think he should be playing). I think Beckham will and should remain in the squad, as he'd be a great option to have on the bench, as proved for the Croatia game. One of the pundits last night reckoned he'd be great alongside Hargreaves in the holding role, so he can play like 'a quarter back' although I disagree with that. Brown and Barry shouldn't even be in the squad for me but i'd stick with Hargreaves, Bentley and James although when Foster is back playing regularly, he'll be our number one.
  3. I think you are reading too much into that. It doesn't mean Grant and Tal are going to be here, but they have to sort it all out now incase they are. Grant WILL stay if we win something this season, but I doubt Ben-Haim will, and would really question his desire attitude if he does stay - because he just doesn't play. Has he featured since Liverpool in the Carling Cup?
  4. Fabio Capello has named Rio Ferdinand as the England captain for tomorrows game against France. Quite surprised by this to be honest and I bet JT is gutted. Capello has said he is going to rotate captains before the first qualifier though, so I hope this won't be a permanent thing. Don't like the idea of the druggy being England captain.
  5. OK Toby, apologies. I'll add Chris' site to the post now. See here
  6. What song was that Layla? Saw this video a few hours ago. Hilarious.

  9. No. It says Radio 5 Live is streamed.
  10. No he doesnt. He doesnt own the pictures, the pictures arent owned by CFCnet, and the credit is done by the watermark on the picture.
  11. Anyone else going up to this one? Bought the train ticket late, and it cost me £54. D'oh!
  12. Merged topics. Really cant see this being true, as the odds are ridiculously. So many people posted their predictions on the internet, so one person was bound to get it right.
  13. They've already played this season in the groups. Utd beat them 1-0 at OT, and it was 1-1 in the return, although Utd played half there reserve team.
  14. I can't see us losing this quarter to be honest. Yes, there a decent side, but we SHOULD win. John Terry and Ricardo Carvalho vs Mateja Kezman and Colin Kazim-Richards. Hmmm I fancy Arsenal to win that quarter to be honest, as well as Barcelona and Man Utd going through. That Rick Parry on Sky Sports News now is such a cock. ---- New Odds: Manchester United (3/1) Barcelona (3/1) Chelsea (7/2) Arsenal (11/2) Liverpool (13/2) Roma (13/1) Schalke (33/1) Fenebahce (40/1) ---- Chelsea v Fenebahce Odds: Chelsea (1/4) Fenebahce (11/4)
  15. Here we go: Quarter Finals: Arsenal v Liverpool AS Roma v Manchester United Schalke v FC Barcelona Fenerbahce v Chelsea Semi Finals: Arsenal/Liverpool v Fenerbahce/Chelsea Schalke/Barcelona v AS Roma/Manchester United Final: Schalke/Barcelona OR AS Roma/Manchester United v Arsenal/Liverpool OR Fenerbahce/Chelsea Cannot play Barcelona or Manchester United until the final which is great in my opinion.
  16. Arsenal 2-1 Middlesbrough, 17:15 Derby 0-3 Man Utd, 15:00 Liverpool 2-0 Reading, 15:00 Portsmouth 2-2 Aston Villa, 15:00 Sunderland 0-3 Chelsea, 15:00 West Ham 1-2 Blackburn, 15:00
  17. Just 30 minutes to go. Please keep everything CL draw related here. Odds before the draw: Manchester United (7/2) Barcelona (4/1) Chelsea (11/2) Arsenal (11/2) Liverpool (9/1) Roma (10/1) Schalke (40/1) Fenerbache (40/1)
  18. SWP only has four according to the Chelsea/Derby program. Im not sure, but I dont think Joe has got into double figures for us before, so that looks a realistic target for him now. I wonder what the odds are on Kalou beating Drogba. Both on 10, and Kalou's in good form at the mo. Clearly its going to be Frank, who if we progress to the CL final, has 17 more games, so could easily reach 25.
  19. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport...ticle914881.ece Brilliant news if true.
