  1. Actually, yeah, stick to the rules, and set the topic to be closed at 12:00 when you create it.
  2. Like all, I'm a bit surprised by that given the Aliadiere red card. I thought they'd stick by it, as Frank kicks out at Boa Morte first slightly.
  3. This is Bristols first year in the league, but Stoke have been in there ages I think.
  4. I say this one time we let Mungii off the hook. Just this once. BL's choice though.
  5. I dont see Lyon as much as you do BL, but i'm told that Ben Arfa hasnt progressed as much as many thought. Benzema and Ben Arfa have been rivals apparently for years, coming through the French youth teams together, and for the majority of that Ben Arfa was the main man, which has changed of late. The two really dont get on, and I believe there were fisty cuffs between the two in the last game? My mate in Marseille went as far as saying Benzema is "800x the player Ben Arfa is". I agree with you though. Lyons main threat will be from Juninho's free kicks.
  6. Yep Paul, i'd continue with Paulo. Fed up of Belletti's consistent lack of defensive abilities. If were struggling and need a goal, stick Essien or Belletti on at RB in the second half.
  7. Got injured whilst getting 'match fit', hes back again training, and I think Chelsea TV said to expect to see him at Barnsley on Saturday.
  8. Why's everyone so determined to see Sheva score? I'd much rather see one of the young lads get a goal that might actually do something good at Chelsea one day. Sheva's off in the summer. No doubt about it.
  9. Agree with the majority you said there BL. I think Utd going through is pretty much routine. Lyon getting the first goal would make things interesting, although I see Utd scoring 3 or 4. I dont think the Inter/Liverpool game is over yet, it depends what Inter and what Liverpool show up, but I'd put my money on Liverpool. I think we'll beat Olympiakos narrowly too. Milan will edge it against Arsenal for me, but again the first goal is so crucial. --- Team wise?? Same as Saturday for me: Cech; Paulo, JT, Riccy, Ash; Maka, Ballack, Frank; Joe, Kalou, Nico. Pretty much the strongest we can go with in my opinion, although it will be a toss up between Didier and Nico, and i'd expect Belletti and perhaps SWP to come back in. I like Kalou on the left though, and with a real run of 7-10 games I think he could improve alot.
  10. Source added. Not really surprising given the clubs ambition to really get into that market. With this and the club going over there for pre-season we should be growing well over there, which I guess can only be a good thing.
  11. Everton to finish 17 points above Liverpool?! Can't see it myself.
  12. One of my mates has been raving about this kid for a year now, but I hadnt really seen much of him until last night against Barcelona. For those of you that havent seen him, here's a great youtube video: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=_mDzdtj1Uqw&...feature=related Like many Argie "wonder kids", Aguero has been likened to Maradona. This isn't a 'sign Aguero' thread, just a thread to discuss him, although he'd be a top signing. Thoughts?
  13. The race to get to the Premiership is almost exciting at the moment as the battle between Chelsea, Arsenal and Man Utd. I havent really paid much attention until now, but it really does look like it will go right down to the wire for the automatic promotion places and the playoffs. P GD PTS 1 Bristol City 35 3 64 2 Stoke 36 11 62 3 Watford 35 14 61 4 West Brom 34 28 58 5 Charlton 35 10 55 6 Ipswich 35 9 52 7 Plymouth 35 9 52 8 Burnley 35 3 51 9 Hull 34 3 50 10 Wolverhampton 34 -1 50 11 Crystal Palace 35 4 49 Just six points seperate Bristol in 1st, and Charlton in 5th, and remarkably just 8 points between 6th (Ipswich) and 15th (QPR). Bristol have done brilliantly in their first season in the Championship and look genuine title contenders, as well as Stoke, although WBA and Watford have looked brilliant at times this season. So what do you think? Discuss the Championship here.
  14. Just seen this: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/e...tor/default.stm I've gone for us winning the majority of our games, slipping up at Everton, but beating Arsenal and Utd at home. Poor old Derby! Have ago and post your tables up!
  15. I think it was done abit to quickly. He wanted to leave because he was left out of a couple of preseason games and the Community Shield.. It was ridiculous. When a top talent wants to leave the club, you dont just let him go, you do your best to keep him. We should have kept him and actually played him regularly. Better player than Belletti in my opinion.
  16. LOL. Was about to reply with a quote to your earlier post. Did you see that David James mistake?!?!?! Haha!
  17. Who's decision was it to release this guy? I've seen him alot since he went to Portsmouth and he looks pure class - and has got almost all the attributes he needs to be a top top player. He was awesome at right-back last season, and if he had stayed he'd still be the best right-back in the club. What does everyone else think?
  18. No BL, anything other than a win against United and Arsenal at home will be a 'huge loss'.
  19. Not harsh on Heather, harsh on Eduardo!
  20. How does Heather Mills walk? I dont get it  EDIT: Someone just told me. Thats so harsh!!!
  21. Harsh on Anelka. Held the ball up well, and was all over the place. Was involved in Joe and Ballacks goals too. Didn't get many chances, but wrongly had a goal disallowed.
  22. Was a great day. My first cup final, so was brilliant. Always remember the drive home listening to the Liverpool fans on 606 radio slagging off Gerrard saying he should leave!!!
  23. Goals: Lampard (pen '15) J. Cole ('19) Ballack ('21) A. Cole('63) Sent Off: Lampard ('33)
  24. Keep the same 11 as we played today please. Only selection to decide would be Didier or Nico.
