  1. Haha Elliott. Nicely put. Is it your first time to England mate?
  2. "Chelsea look set to win their third League Cup trophy in four seasons as they take on Spurs at the first Carling Cup final at Wembley." Thats a bit optimistic BL! I hope Avram goes with: ------------Cech Belletti--JT--Percy--Bridge -------------Mikel --------SWP----Frank Kalou----Drogba----Anelka
  3. 1. Petr Cech 35. Juliano Belletti 3. Ashley Cole 6. Ricardo Carvalho 33. Alex Rodrigo da Costa 5. Michael Essien 4. Claude Makelele © 13. Michael Ballack 10. Joe Cole 15. Florent Malouda 11. Didier Drogba Subs: 23. Carlo Cudicini, 8. Frank Lampard, 12. John Obi Mikel, 21. Salomon Kalou, 24. Shaun Wright-Phillips, 26. John Terry, 39. Nicolas Anelka. How about that for a subs bench eh?
  4. On his day, one of the best players in the League and had a great scoring record. Shame him and Frank never played together, and shame he went to Spurs.
  5. That hatrick was awesome. Great to see he can still do it with that brilliant goal for Cardiff at the weekend.
  6. The article on the Barnsley website makes it sound like we have 6000. Not sure though. http://www.barnsleyfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page...1245038,00.html Theres the link - not to clear really.
  7. http://www.uefa.com/printoutfiles/competit...e_301893_pk.pdf Match Press Kit from UEFA.
  8. Just had a look at the Olympiakos squad, and they've got one or two recongisable names. Didier Domi was at Leeds at Newcastle as a defender, playing nearly 70 games over here.Luciano Galletti has been capped 13 times from Argentina, and is a good midfielder.Darko Kovačević is probably the most well known. He played for Sheff Wednesday for a while, as well as Juve and Lazio, and also was red hot alongside Nihat for Sociedad for a few seasons.Predrag Đorđević is the captain and plays left midfield. He has a scoring record of nearly one in two, so look out for him.Raul Bravo alot of you will know from being at Madrid for a long time.Fernando Belluschi along with Galletti plays in the midfield, again some may know him.Lomana Lua Lua, no description needed really.Antonis Nikopolidis. Finally, legendary Greek 'keeper. Kept goal at Euro 2004. Aged 36, but looks 56. Still a decent keeper though.
  9. Not bad for a fat bastard eh West Ham? Just to reiterate the posts of everyone else, the man's a legend - and its shocking most other fans dont want him near the England team. Thanks Frank.
  10. As far as I know, the yellow is the third, and the black is the away... Not 100% sure though. They all look awful there in my opinion. The home kit was growing on me, but there the collar just looks far to big. The yellow kit is reasonable, and the black just looks like that Umbro training top we had a few years back. They've made us one decent kit out of 8 now, the current home shirt. What the hell are they playing at? Crap.
  11. Will be a tad harsh on Alex though if JT is going to come straight back in for the Cup Final.
  12. I don't think hes missed a game since being back, so him being rested is a possibilty. Strong words there from Avram.
  13. I think he's good enough for Wigan/Sunderland/Birmingham Esk. I thought he was very good in the Carling Cup vs the Scousers, and perhaps was unlucky to be taken off when he was.
  14. And the opera singer + plastic flags they do for Blue is the Colour. Am I the only one who gets embarrased by that?
  15. Sorry, I didn't mean richest, I meant revenue. http://www.chelseafc.com/page/NewsHomePage...1240823,00.html
  16. JT's back for this one SSN now. Link here.
  17. Like it or not mate, football is a business now, and thats why we have to do it. Manchester United are the second richest club in the world because of their fanbase, and the work that Kenyon and Utd did with Asia over a period of time. We can not go on forever relying on Roman's money, and therefore the work that Kenyon does to promote us globably is vital in order to make money.
  18. I think thats pretty wise from Chelsea. He should either be at a top Championship club, or a bottom/midtable Premiership side (excluding Derby). I think someone like Sunderland/Birmingham/Wigan etc.
  19. You keep saying that the 'younger fans' dont understand, and then come out with that! Has he not spent enough for you?
  20. I dont understand how hes 'treated us like imbeciles' FB?
  21. I was going to post in this topic last night but as I disagree with the majority of you, I thought better of it, and didn't, as I know how some react to a difference of opinion on here. But here it goes. I don't see why people have a problem with Kenyon and I think he is doing a good job. I think the people that do criticise him don't necessarily understand what he is there to do. I don't think he has done anything particularly wrong, and is helping us promote the club abroad, which can only be a good thing. The club's aim to breakeven by 2010 (?) is looking realistic and he is an important part of that. He was key to signing Arjen Robben and Petr Cech immediately after joining us, as well as Frank Arnesen - who again is doing a good job. He was behind the Samsung and adidas sponsorship deals - two of the biggest in English football history. I don't blame him for Jose's departure, as the problem was obviously with Roman. I think people need to get off his back. Yes, he has been lucky. But thats how it happens for alot of people in Business. At the end of the day, that mainly is his job at the moment. He IS doing good for the football club, because its him that's involved in transfers and what not. He was never going to be Mr Popularity coming from Man Utd, but he did a good job there, and I think he is here too. The people who dont like him, give me some specifics on things he's done 'wrong'?
  22. No. The final is two-legged, home and away, and yes it is open to public.
  23. I wouldnt expect Joe, Didier, Frank or Alex to play as they are one away from a suspension (and would miss the CC Final). Sinclair will probably get a start and perhaps Ivanovic, Stoch and Di Santo on the bench, although I doubt Di Santo will be. Carlo Ferriera Carvalho Ben-Haim Bridge Kalou Sidwell Mikel Sinclair Anelka Pizarro Subs: Hilario, Ivanovic, Stoch, Drogba, Ballack.
