Players who perform consistently, 9 games out of 10 at a high level. I'd say there are probably currently only 6/7 in the world who truly do that, but endless amounts who have the potential to be world class. 'World class' is thrown about far too much though, its almost an expectation of fans for most clubs. If you look at someone like Ramires, who will never be 'world class' but more often than not, his contribution to the team is vital to win a game. I think thats what we have in abundance.

First time this season that we play 3 games in a week, with a huge match at the end of it. So expect to see a little bit of rotation with Luis, Azpilicueta, Schurrle, Willian and probably Ramires starting either the Swansea or the Schalke match, but not all 3.

At the end, it sounds like Oscars injury isn't serious, but he probably won't join up with the Brazil squad. Really good news. Let the boy rest.

Hes been linked with far bigger clubs through the window than West Ham. But he hasn't really played consistently for the last few years so I guess there were big doubts over him. He could be great for West Ham though. Big Sam is allegedly 'on the verge of the sack' but he's actually building a decent squad there at the mo.

I don't even see what he should of been booked for when he was? It was all very petty. People are going to want him booked at every opportunity because he's unlikeable to opponents. Hopefully he doesn't rise to it and Jose keeps him calm.

Our midfield 3 all ran further through the 90 minutes than any other player. (Matic 7.7 miles, Fabregas 7.6, Ramires 7.5. Evertons highest was Barry at 7.4.) Think wed all had preferred them to do less and actually cover the midfield battle for 90 minutes. Though all 3 had superb moments in the game. One final point that hasnt come up yet, this is a relatively new team and squad now with several new players and theyve only been working as one unit for 5/6 weeks. Once they and Jose find the right balance and style to play, we could be pretty special to watch.
