Who would you sign to lead the line at Chelsea?
Cosmin replied to Melanicus's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Cavani. I don't even think he likes it at PSG. If not Cavani, then Benzema would be a good option. -
I think Mourinho has a point when he says that we are not favourites. City have a great squad, Arsenal have continuity, but just think about how many changes happened in our team before and during this season. Remember how Azpi turned into a LB or how Oscar, Hazard, Mata and Willian kept rotating a few months ago. Even at this point we don't even have a crystalised starting 11 to begin with. We don't know who is our main striker. Remember how Matic was signed just a few days ago and he's already in the starting 11. Jose is building, he's thinking everything through all the time. Nothing is ready for us, yet. Still, we are there, just like he said. Which is just enormous. Imagine what happens when the mechanism will be ready. Nevertheless, being in the title race might seem normal, but just think about it as if there was no Mourinho. What he managed to do so far is astonishing, but people don't understand that anymore, since they got used to it.

We need to smash them as a confirmation for what happened on Monday. It's on, lads! Come on, Chelsea!
-
Look at Willian, though. Unbelievable.
-
Never been so happy to be wrong! Thank you, Mou! Thank you, lads! Thank you for what you did last night.
-
I didn't say it about Arsenal or Liverpool because I was sure that they weren't better than us. Now I am pretty sure. People are being too naive, thinking that Hazard or Willian are gonna make a difference. They're gonna make fuck all, since we'll be defending for 90+ minutes. That's what we always do in this kind of games, how can you expect anything else? If we score, which I highly doubt, it's gonna be from a set piece. Terry or Ivanovic.
-
I don't think we stand a chance. They are the better team.
-
Mourinho's 'mind games' are getting a little bit old and boring.
-
So you come here, talk about how great United are for buying what you (not everyone else) consider to be "our best player", then call us "children" and still you're the mature one. As long as you are fair, people here are fair too. What does that say to you?
-
Then fuck the fuck off.
-
Costa would be our Negredo. But I feel like we could use some Aguero.
-
51 already, damn... Happy birthday, Jose Mourinho!
-
Everyone knows that what you're actually trying to say is not that we sold our best player, but that YOU bought our best player. To be honest, it's hard to tell who's our best player right now, since we have so much quality in our squad. Mind you we didn't lose against you, City, Liverpool (we actually won those games), Spurs and Arsenal. Without our 'best player'.
-
So you think that if Mata would've had a better financial offer from, let's say, Real Madrid, he would've chosen your club over them? You're funny.
-
His letter makes this even harder to bear.
-
Please, everyone, don't post photos with him in that shirt. Thank you.
-
Earlier today I said that I expect the media to start talking crap about Luiz, since the Mata issue is done. Unfortunately, I see that we're starting it. Not the media.
-
Funny how everyone was saying that we were shit when we won the UCL and the Europa League, but now most of the United fans are proud to have a "UCL and Europa League winner" transferred I thought this transfer through and I think that, at the end of the day, the only bad thing that happened is that we gave him to Manchester United. Because selling Mata was, without any doubt, the right decision. He was unhappy because he was not playing, we were unhappy because he was not playing, there was a lot of pressure coming from the media regarding Mourinho's decisions, so there was nothing good about him staying on the bench at Chelsea. I hope that the controversial bullshit will stop now, but I know that this is not going to happen, because they need and they want to talk crap about Mourinho and Chelsea. They will probably start speculating everytime Luiz doesn't get to start.
-
That would be ideal, but I was reffering to the people talking about how great United's squad is gonna be with Mata. No one can know if he will adapt there.
-
What if he turns out to be a flop, though?

It's the exact same feeling that I feel after finishing a good TV show or a good book. There's no real actual connection between you and the characters, you can see the final page in front of your eyes, before reading the last rows, you know that it's the last episode or the last scene, but it still feels very bad when you know that it's over. Mata was not connected with us anymore, we saw this coming, but it is still painful to see him go. And it's a sad ending, a dissapointing one, because he's going to the last team that we wanted him to go to. I don't know what to say, but thanks for the memories. Time to start another book, lads.
-
Spot on, mate! Decent signing. Young, talented, low money, low risk, and I'd also mention low expectations, but could be a nice surprise.
-
People trolling on Twitter that Mata rejected the move and he's staying.
-
Apparently we are delaying the move as we are trying to sign Salah first. Please, Basel, don't sell Mohamed! Just look at him, he's great! You want him to stay!
-
From what you're saying, some may understand that we were a cup team BECAUSE of Mata. I'm pretty sure that you didn't mean that.
