  1. ^ This joke of a guy is the only one on this board who has the audacity to highlight how he does more than so and so while in fact if you look closely, 90% of his posts are one word replies like "indeed", "lmao" or "true". To make up for it he posts what I admit are genuinely good topics at times. But then he takes two steps back by insulting others and whining when he is replied to. He's been taking pot shots (pun unintended) at me for the last two days and he's done so here again, without provocation. With a view to not give any more attention to this meaningless thread, I won't be making further posts here, regardless of how much 'God' himself may try to provoke me.
  2. January isn't the time to look at the future. That's for the summer. In Jan you try short term moves that will help you see out the season. Simple logic.
  3. Yes he is, and yes it has. But it's frustrating to see him standing over every lame freekick and trying ridiculous shots when others around him are in a better position.
  4. I'll give it a go. EDIT : I've joined. Member name - MadmaxTC. What about the league id?
  5. And less of the selfish attitude too.
  6. Nah mate, I understand your point, sorry if I came across as hostile
  7. Well I was the only one who admitted to coming on after Roman, so I thought I should clarify, to everyone who agrees with that line of thought. But Ollie's a mate, I'm sure he understands
  8. Spot on. While I don't believe Benitez is as crap as others will make you think, getting rid of Alonso was his biggest mistake.
  9. If I came because of Roman's money, I would have done that in 2003. Or 2005 or 2006 when we won those titles. Why would I call myself a supporter in Feb 08, after the most successful manager in our history had left, and when it looked like we wouldn't be winning the league? Yes you're a local and yes you've been around longer than me but what makes you assume I don't have as much passion for this club as you do? Because I'm not in the Shed singing every Saturday? And fyi, I would also be a blue if we were playing York in Blue Square Premier, let alone Grimsby in league 2. Don't bother questioning my commitment.
  10. Gattuso's done nothing to the effect of 'pulling him back' - it's hardly a tap on his shoulder. Gerrard's looking to dive as soon as he gets clear. But oh well. Funny thing is - poor Tomo probably didn't realise his thread would turn into 4 (and counting) pages of this centuries old Gerrard vs Lampard debate
  11. You have your answer at 05:37 He's made up his mind to go down as soon as he arrives into the box, doesn't make an attempt at dribbling/shooting even when just one on one with Dida. And at a mere tap on the back from Gattuso, Eshtevie Me is on the floor.
  12. Is there honestly one supporter who didn't cry (with joy) that night or cry (in pain) after the final? I'm not ashamed to say I did both times. Legendary season that, even though we lost 3 finals.
  13. He entered the Diving Hall of Fame that night. Hell he entered it long before that, just showed us all again why he's in that list.
  14. Badboy, I'm sorry to say, but what the fuck are you on about?
  15. Growing up in India, 99% of the boys are cricket fanatics. I was one too. Started properly following football in 2002, watched the Premiership and Serie A - those were the two leagues that were telecast here. Didn't support a particular team in either league, though I held a soft spot for Roma because of Totti. The moment I knew I loved Chelsea was when Drogba scored the second of his double against Arsenal late on in the home win in 07/08. We were under Grant then. I couldn't care less really if people think I'm a fair weather fan or a glory hunter or whatever they want to term it. My local team here is as shit as they come and I'm one of the 30 odd crowd in the stands everytime - no matter what.
  16. Bookmarked! Really incredible stuff, goosebumps! Me. And it means sod all
  17. You could argue Huntelaar never got enough chances at Real or Milan. Same with Babel. Kuyt's never been played where he belongs - up top. Kezman - fair enough (and the Kalou part was a joke ) People always bring up Alfonso Alves in this debate. But the point is, people from every league fail in other leagues. I don't remember too many Englishmen who set the world alight outside England - which is surprising considering how the media thinks EPL is the best and the others are shite. Owen, Beckham, Woodgate, McManaman, Hargreaves, etc.
  18. Sorry but ... Ronaldo, Romario, Bergkamp, Ruud van, the Laudrups, Hyypia, Ibrahimovic, Klaas Jan Huntelaar ... and ofcourse, this guy - The talk about Eredivisie players not doing well in other leagues is a myth, just like when people classify the EPL as physical, La Liga as technical and Serie A as tactical. But on topic (seems weird to say in a thread titled 'Off Topic' ) I'd fancy Suarez for about 10-12 million max.
