Good article, but it says what we as Chelsea fans already knew about Terry-Riccy and Terry-Alex/Iva. Luiz seems like a good fit for Terry but that should not be the primary consideration in getting him here. Let's face it - even with so many injury problems, we've still conceded only 7 goals at home all season. I personally feel we're not going to get Luiz in January. Waiting for the club to surprise me though
Let me assure you our squad problems go deeper than this season. Spurs are fools for giving him a 4 year deal. A 3 year deal here wouldn't have hurt considering Benayoun will probably go in the summer or next Jan due to his injury. Another year added on means Lampard, Anelka et al are that much older, and considering Carlo's selection policies this season the likes of Kakuta and Josh won't be getting much time. And he could always have been moved on after 2 years to a smaller club for about half of that 3 million. Well it's all ifs and buts now and no point discussing this further, but we need squad players. Or we need to give more chances to Josh, Kakuta, Sturridge, PvA and Matic or retain Bertrand, Cork, Mancienne - neither of which looks like happening.
Pienaar wasn't a smart short term transfer? I like several others have already pointed out a lot of times why this would have been a good deal. And don't tell me you would want to see Kalou warming up on the touchline rather than Pienaar. Having said that though if he was asking for unreasonable wages, I'm happy we didn't give in.
Asking price : 25 million £ Udinese president Gianpaolo Pozzo has claimed he told Chelsea they must pay £25million if they want to sign Chile winger Alexis Sanchez. Asked about the 22-year-old's value, Pozzo told Sky Italia: "With Chelsea, we talked about 30million euros. I want this figure, if not more." "There was also interest from Inter Milan, which we decided to stop," said Pozzo before stating that Udinese want to keep Sanchez and that only Floro Flores will be allowed to leave. "It's useless to talk about something that we don't want to do because we cannot remove anyone from the team when we are midway through a season.
And it's not even 18 mil - it'll rise to 24 mil with appearances and goals and all that. Really don't understand what Villa are trying to do here. First they let O'Neill walk because they didn't give him the funds he wanted. Then they brought in Houllier who's not got a good PL record. And then they give him 24 mil to splash on - Bent!?! This is the same guy who couldn't live with the pressure of a big money transfer at Spurs. Good luck trying to look at him for saving you from relegation.
So Tottenham's midfield options - Modric, VdV, Bale, Lennon, Kranjcar, Palacios, Sandro, Huddlestone, Jenas, Jamie O'Hara. Yep - so much playing time there. Fecker. Off for the money. Good on Chelsea to deny him then.
lmao that guy is a moron. He did all that shit when he entered into a "BPL's number 1 Indian fan'' or something couple of years ago. How difficult is it really to make a cardboard trophy and stick some crap on the wall? :/
