  1. Really surprised by this, I thought he'd move after a while, not to Chelsea, but just a bigger team. But fair do's to him I suppose. /Thread.
  2. Bayern keen to get Kakuta to sign a pre-contract
  3. Don't get me wrong guys, I'm not worried right now (@zolayes). It's just, for argument sake, if Lampard were to pick up another knock and, touch wood, Essien were to be out, we'd only have Mikel, Ramires & McEachran(@ZanSnake). While this would be a midfield full of quality it would lack that experience that knows to keep the ball and slow down play in the last 10-20minutes, kind of like a Ballack or Scholes(@Blueboy.
  4. Just saw about the Benayoun thing, big big loss for us. I think Carlo will sign an experienced midfielder in the Jan window, he has to now! We need experience in our midfield, we only have Lampard and Benayoun as the experienced guys, before we had Lampard, Ballack, Deco, Belleti & even Joe Cole. (I always said Ballack should've stayed) Now that those 2 are sidelined, only Essien is the real experienced one (and he's not even THAT experienced). I think one jan signing of a midfielder will not hinder the youth progression but just add some wisdom to our midfield
  5. Ouch! At least you're going to them though ey?
  6. Well, Roman's already ruled out big money signings so unless Santos are feeling very generous I doubt the move will happen
  7. I'm sure it still manages to occupy you though, if you know what I mean
  8. Hahaha, a bit harsh. We put 7 past Friedel too, but he's more than competant
  9. Has anyone actually seen Begovic perform? I don't mean YouTube videos, but in actual games, we don't actually know if he'll be any better than Turnbull
  10. Good point! That was my goal of the season last year!
  11. Harry stands up for nephew Frank Lampard Tottenham manager Redknapp said: “I can’t see that. I think he’s a must to play for England. “He’s 20 goals a year. He scores goals for England and even in the World Cup. If Frank’s goal against Germany had been given, who knows what could have happened?”
  12. Yeah, saw this. I saw a bit of him when Liverpool played Utreched. But there's always a risk with dutch player, they may seem good abroad but they don't match up at other bigger teams. Robben (for us) & Huntelaar come to mind straight away.
  13. Didn't expect that to be honest. Me neither! Nice to see, but will probably get drowned out by some other story about some Chelsea player.
  14. One thing he's improved on is his long passing ability (or is just me noticing?)
  15. Florent & Florencia Malouda, quite a coincidence of a name
  16. Let's hope our international stars come back from the international break without injury :|
  17. Apparently he was the "guest of honour"
  18. Chelsea willing to offer Ross Turnbull in return for Asmir Begovic
  19. They do http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00v8pt9/Match_of_the_Day_2_2010_11_03_10_2010/
  20. Match of the Day 2 just did a brilliant profile of Ramires's game today. Summed him up pretty well
  21. Only because Ivanovic isn't a natural right back. It's hard for centre backs to move to a wing position, they don't like to run up and down the flank it takes alot out of them so they become defensively weak. Although with Alex you've got that Free Kick element Manuf! Where've you been lately?
  22. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gtjd-K-uQ9o&hd=1 Just uploaded it, here you go
  23. We're going to be one of the strongest teams in the Prem if we get back all our players after this break, like we're supposed to.. Cech Bosingwa Ivanovic Terry Cole Mikel Essien Lampard Anelka Drogba Malouda Subs: Turnbull, Bruma, Kakuta, McEachran, Sturridge, Benayoun, Kalou, Zhirkov, ect.
  24. The thing with Ramires is, he needs to feel his way into a match. Every time we see him play he has a poor first 15-20minutes to settle into the game and then he begins to adapt. My problem with him at times is, he takes way too long on the ball, he needs to learn that in the Premiership you will always be under pressure when you have the ball, he needs to learn that once he's got the ball he needs to think quickly and pass it or keep it. Defensively he's been solid, he puts in good tackles and has good stamina. If he can work on keeping the ball then he will be a great asset to us, because we know he can pick a good pass (the pass to Cole today to set up Drogba's goal)
