  1. Yeah! But there's no signs Chelsea will go for him, and I don't think they will at all.
  2. Yes, yes, yes! Definitely think so! Would be the best change I can think of right now.
  3. Yeah, saw this by the Press Association via BBC Gossip. Least I expect though, like TX and various other members have said, no point in firing him now.
  4. Read the comments, hear out the points.
  5. I have an idea why, and it's quite brilliant. He takes them because he knows he can deliver it with enough fizz, speed and accuracy that even the slightest of deflections would send it into the back of the net. It's a good idea on paper, but the only flaw in it is, Drogba can't deliver that ball properly.
  6. We should be able to exploit it though. We've got some of the biggest players.. Drogba, Essien. JT & Ivanovic know how to head in a ball too.. If we trained on scoring from them we'd score way more goals. ..Of course, that does require someone to put in a good delivery.
  7. 1-0 leads always give me heart attacks, especially with our shaky defence! There are only so many spectacular saves Cech can make before one creeps through. And yeah I remember that, I remember Andy Gray going on about how it was an "awful corner, make no mistake about it"
  8. And the 2nd. We know how troubling 1-0's are
  9. I certainly didn't know that, wow. He epitomised the role of a "Yes man", his best move was not changing Mourinho's tactics This is true. Just look at Wayne Rooney, I'm sure if Drogba had the same idea last summer, Roman would have forked out the same funds. Fortunately Drogba's not chasing money, and from his form right now, I can see why. Scolari did go on record saying he never played a player who wasn't 100%, and fair do's to him, he may have extended his career by 2 more years (though he may not even need that now.) Very true. The next manager must be allowed to build his own team.
  10. I'd rather have Gary Cahill to be honest, he'd be cheaper.
  11. I'm sure he's still haunted by Deco. We have a habit of buying players too late, Kaká was awful last season for Madrid, he's returning from injury in January, who knows if he'll be the same, Roman would not take such a risk!
  12. Jamie Redknapp's take on Mikel.. No wonder he writes for The Daily Mail..
  13. It's a good point. But remember, we did keep Grant until the end of the season so that was okay, Scolari had the team in dismay, we didn't play well, but more importantly he'd lost the dressing room & Drogba which was the crucial part. In came Hiddink who just about got us some silver-wear. Carlo hasn't lot the dressing room yet, they're still united as one. His calmness helps the players, mentally, not tactically, which is why keeping him on is the best option for the sake of stability. Perhaps, if Wilkins wasn't sacked it would be easier to "sack" Carlo right now, but we saw the impact of Wilkin's departure and he was just the assistant, the sacking of the coach would be disaster for morale.
  14. West Ham would be a good move. Plymouth were in the same shape as the Hammers in that half of the table, Connor could be useful there, him and Parker would link up well.
  15. I thought Mourinho wants to keep him on? I imagine this would become another Deco fiasco though, I'd only want a loan deal, with option of signing him permanently.
  16. Hopefully (if he starts) he won't be subbed off at half time.
  17. We've got some relatively good fixtures from now till February. A chance for Carlo to get us securing 4th.
  18. Yeah I made that point before too. I'm not knocking Mikel at all, because I know he's young enough to improve so much, which he demonstrates. Carlo needs to encourage him to go forward more that's all I want really. Mikel has the potential to be better than Maka when he reaches that age, and I hope he does it. The day he grabs his first goal, I'll buy a Mikel shirt
  19. Fantastic player. But he's left footed, his technique is so easy and predictable. Run down the wing, then cut back.
  20. Eugh I know.. But seeing Josh on the bench, coming off when he can, does give me a tiny glimmer of hope for some of these academy players. If Clifford is sold, it wouldn't surprise me, but like I said, Josh is a small beacon of light of hope.
  21. I wish I had your optimism Alex, I really do. But the way things have gone I just feel that by the time we do get back to winning ways it'll be far too late for the title. I hope we do retain the FA Cup, I'd hate to finish this season totally trophy-less :\
