  1. Wouldn't be surprised if this is some ploy to lure Lukaku
  2. Definitely agree about that - there's no doubting the commitment. It's great to see, putting the likes of Drogba and Anelka to shame, but I've said before - There's no point in giving heart if there's no end product. I hope you're right about him being better - The last 5 years make me think otherwise. But I'll be the first to admit I'm wrong, when he proves he's more than a dribbler, with no end product.
  3. Hahaha sounds familiar - Which race was it? no way?! I didn't know that - What can't he do?!
  4. LOL was bound to happen. Speaking of, my Nigerian cousin can send you a detailed e-mail....
  5. Out of all the clubs that have ever tried, we've probably been the most unlucky team to do it. The phantom goal.. The discussions between Rijkaard & the referee.. The other screw job vs Barca & JT's penalty. - Certainly to win the most coveted trophy in football, you need skill, quality but also luck. When we played Inter last year we we're the weaker side. We can argue we should've had a penalty at the San Siro as much as we want, but we came out 2nd - We deserved it. For me, this season, we've already conceded the League. We might as well go for the Champions League. With the way the squad has been lately this seems like an impossible task - But so was Liverpool's back in 2005. While I'm not as obsessed about CL glory as PL glory, I would like 1 of those in our trophy cabinet - At least to get one over the Arsenal fans!
  6. Its like I say, just get Drogba to take/practice them. The one thing he does well is deliver a ball with fizz & pace, this means the slightest deflection goal-wise from Ivanovic or Terry will beat the keeper (unless it's Joe Hart, who can just about reach anything!)
  7. Hahaha true point TX. Let's not even start on that slime Piers Morgan. The only thing I'll give ITV credit for is this..
  8. He's had 5 years to grow confidence I'm patient with players - We all learnt from our mistakes with not trusting the likes of Drogba, Malouda even Maka. But they turned our opinions within 2 season (3 for Malouda I think?). But Kalou has had 6 season to show us the quality he's supposed to possess and he hasn't delivered. He's got pace, yes, and he's got good dribbling abilites. But he lacks a finish, he lacks a final pass and he lacks judgement. He's 25 now, personally, it doesn't look like he's improving any more than he is. He looks the same player who could dribble with pace but not do anything aside from that. I'd rather he bench warmed for us while we give Sturridge his chance. The 20minutes he gets gives him no time to show his true potential, he must be allowed a run of games, like Kalou was given, to prove his value. Kalou on the bench, I do not mind, he's got the experience now to come on for the last 20minutes (when Studge would come on) and perhaps make a difference (because he can offer something different)
  9. They, no doubt, use the WORST angles in the bloody world! They really can't do anything right. Commentary is awful, punditry is awful, analysis is even awful! I wish England games would be given back to the BBC and the voice of England football - John Motson!
  10. Wow. That's all I can say about everything that you just said Haha so true, he could win on anything. The Doctor will always be a legend, he's like the Schumy of MotoGP! The 2008 battle with Lorenzo was some of the best I've ever seen him ride, it really was great to see as a spectator, kicked ass on Stoner's little rivalry! Although the Sete rivalry was the best in terms of fierce rivalry I think the 2-year deal he signed will be it for him, going out on a high and everything. The sport will lose a true great on his last race!
  11. Just read a brilliant article about ITV's rubbish sports coverage, a brilliant read.. (Foreign fans may not get this) It comes via FootballFanCast An example of some of the quotes, a hilarious read
  12. Bloody hell I just updated myself on the MotoGP goings on! Rossi to Ducati (about time) and Stoner to Honda?! When the hell did all that take place?! Stoner always annoyed me though, he was a decent rider but his attitude was rubbish! Rossi is a living legend it's about time he gets to ride on, arguably, the best machine in the sport.. The Ducati! It'll be interesting to see if Pedrosa and Stoner will get along. I hope it'll got like F1 did, a 4 dog race. Rossi, Stoner, Lorenzo & Hayden! On a side note.. I was devastated when I heard about Shoya Tomizawa! The boy was guaranteed to get into the MotoGP within the next 2 years, at the age of only 19.
  13. I used to be heavily into MotoGP the season before last, Stoner & Rossi going for the championship with likes of Pedrosa, Hayden & Vermeulen always lurking over their shoulders - Truly brilliant! I missed most of the last season though and I've never got back into it. In fact I watched more F1 to accommodate for it. I plan to get back into it this season though, MotoGP and F1 will be the ones I'll be watching more I'm also hoping to get my riding course started with the 125CC - If I can get a job and pay for it that is
  14. Haha, well with Bosingwa's I don't think any of were sure what happened. He limped off with a knee injury in October (I think), then we heard he'd need surgery in March!! It was crazy, we got told nothing. Not sure if that's the medical staff's fault, or the club's lack of PR But you get Prosinek's because I think that was a genuine cock-up.. But human errors happen And on that last line - Agreed! LOL
  15. We'll do what all good clubs would do then.. .. Lie till he signs.
  16. [1] If you'll remember, Frank's injury was not a direct consequence of his hernia operation. The media were very quick to jump on the fact it was, despite us telling the world that it was actually an injury to the abductor muscle in his leg. It was this that kept him out for long, it was diagnosed correctly, and the time he was out made sense. [2] Benayoun came out and publicly said the Chelsea doctors were not to blame. Chelsea had made the right diagnosis, but when he went to link up with Isreal on international duty, he'd strained the injury and made it even worse. [3] Essien's injury was originally to his hamstring. Upon recovering from this, he went on international duty with Ghana in September 08. It was here he suffered an anterior cruciate ligament damage. Which can keep players out for almost a year. He made his return on March 09 (he scored that beauty vs Barcelona remember). He then went on international duty again, with Ghana at the 2010 Cup of Nations. It was here that they misdiagnosed him! They'd said he'd got an anterior cruciate ligament injury again but he knew otherwise. Chelsea made the correct diagnosis. [4] John Terry's injury could not be treated by anyone. As you'll recall the injury was not so bad that he could not carry on, JT is a warrior, he would not have wanted to take time out to treat the injury because it was manageable via injections. It's only recently the pain has gotten worse (because he's older) that's why he had to fly to Italy - At the recommendation of Bryan English (the chief doctor at Chelsea) [5] The thing with Malaria is, it's not instant. The effect can take as long as 2 months to appear in the system, until then, there was no need to get him checked. In fact - I read somewhere - Chelsea insisted on getting a blood test when Drogba thought it was a simple flu. Malaria can also take a while to get out the system, it can take months (ask Cheryl Cole) [6] Alex's operation took place in Brazil. Chelsea made it clear they would assess him when he returned this month, which he has. Right now I think they're diagnosing him - so a date should be available soon. As you can see, all your points have had extenuating circumstances. I can see why you blame the medical staff though, for a long while the media has been telling us it was their fault. They purposely refer to Lampard's injury as a consequence of the hernia op - despite them knowing it's wrong. I hope this helps
  17. Also, Zhirkov, Bertrand & Mikel were all seen training on CTV today - encouraging signs. If they can all get fit by next week, our only injuries will be to Alex and Benayoun *fingers crossed* Van Aanholt out for 3 weeks
  18. The Daily Mail Claims Alex will prefer a move to Chelsea. They give no quotes to back this claim up (as always), but..
  19. It all depends on Alex though doesn't it. If he can get back into action by the end of the month then we can say let's hold off on this transfer till January. But we're not blessed with time when it comes to player injuries (ref. Essien, Lampard & Bosingwa)
