  1. I held my reservations about Ivanovic at right back but today showed it works! Ivanovic - Luiz - Terry - Cole That's that sorted. 23 years old.
  2. Thanks for keeping a sensible voice here, bloody hell!
  3. Like Steve said, we lack confidence. If ugly football is the only way we can get the results now, so be it.
  4. David Luiz was exceptional. Every time he lost the ball, he won it back. He plays Total Football - Doesn't look to thump it clear but travels with the ball or looks for an accurate pass (like the one to Torres. Has a bright future as Terry's successor. Torres is suffering from lack of confidence but will grow into this game. I really hope Ancelotti doesn't take him off, that first goal is all it'll take for Nando! Let's be patient guys. It's not like he's getting good service (except that pass). Anelka and Malouda are a bit blunt. They're not really feeding in Torres - They must stop trying to shoot from distance. I think one of them should come off and make way for Josh. This will free Essien & Josh to push forward and find that killer pass, knowing they have cover in the other player.
  5. Is this carrying on a theme of making a new thread for every niggling comment we have?
  6. The man will never slag us off! Even when we sacked him the first time
  7. :goodpost: Well balanced, taking account both sides of the argument! Could do with more posts like this.
  8. Media can say whatever they want. We were there to see Malouda, Drogba, Mikel & even Ramires prove us wrong. We've learnt to be patient.
  9. Then my mistake, I thought you meant out of the club. As for the rest, you're right, but with this board it's unlikely. Ray will not be replaced, this role is no longer available at the club. Carlo will only have 2 assistant managers (Bruno Demichelis & Paul Clement)
  10. Like Carlo said "nothing changes" The board is at fault for not appointing someone. Though this may simply come down to cost-cutting measures.
  11. What warrants that statement? Elemano is doing the role he's assigned to. Opposition scout. His job is to prepare a tactical brief on our opposition, no-one knows if he's doing that well or not. Carlo Ancelotti has come out and said his job hasn't changed, jut the job title. So let's stop hating on him, shall we? Though you're over all message is right. Steve Clarke embodies the role of back-room staff. If Carlo is to stay beyond this summer he should be given as much reinforcement at the back as he can. The suggestion of using former club legends like Zola is an iffy - Carlo needs as much support as he can from a top-class assistant manager. Hiddink is a first team coach and this would severely undermine Carlo so that's not a good solution either.
  12. Lol Harry Redknapp is an awful manager. Attack, attack, attack. That's all he knows. He has no knowledge of defending or tactical play, this despite having 3000 centre-backs. He's right though, we're not. A transitional period - as members defending Carlo have said - is when youth is intergrated into the main squad. This was the plan, when he entered the season with the smallest registered squad. And now? Now we have sent Sturridge, Kakuta, Bruma & Van Aanholt on loan & McEachran is 'too young'. A direct contradiction to what "the plan" was. Either that's the fault of the board for not singing enough players, or management for not recognising that this squad was not title challengers. Or even both.
  13. That's the dream for our youth system. Progress is yet to be seen though.
  14. Angry sex Nah, I just do really - Depends on what kind of loss it is really..
  15. Cudicini, for being a great servant of this club and being a crucial part of us reaching our first ever Champions League campaign. Technically it's Cech, but my favourite will always be Cudicini.
  16. Right you are FB. I think CA was referring to Luzi/Ivanovic/Alex/Bosingwa rotation. Terry would only be dropped for minor injuries, though I think Lampard is more likely to be dropped now and then as opposed to Terry.
  17. My favourite tribute.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iVp-26rohVw&hd=1
  18. He sat on the bench for them on Saturday At least Van Aanholt has become their #1 left-back.
  19. Exactly. That's why I maintained we stick with him till the summer at least, at least when the players support you, they're willing to work for the team. All hope it not lost till it's evident they're not with the manager. The team's celebration after that Villa goal, when they all went up to Carlo was a great sight and symbol of unity.
  20. He won't drop Terry. I just don't see him growing the balls too
  21. Really should've have retired after 2006 or 09 like Henrique said. An absolute legend though, one of the best strikers to have ever played the game!
  22. I love this day, I'm single and picking up single girls couldn't be easier on v-day!
