  1. Oh :censored: Let the Carlo-Roma rumours begin.
  2. La..lalalalalalalala.. Fernando Torres Chelsea's number 9!
  3. Perhaps, but have the changes really been that impacting? Fair enough Ray Wilkins was a hard one because each player probably felt he was the link between manager and players. But these guys aren't kids. They should know in the business of football coaches come and go, heck they've been through multiple managers as it is!
  4. Yeah good call there! My god the pace on that boy, there's not a lot who can outpace Ashley Cole when he's had a head start, but Coleman blew him away!
  5. Yeah! Spot on there. The Fulham was a clear example of this when Malouda kept shooting from outside the box with hardly any on target, and if so, comfortable saves for the keeper. Although in our defence, yesterday we had a lot more direct shots on target from inside. They just weren't good enough. So in that aspect there are signs of improvement.
  6. The "key" is simple. Work hard. Don't know about you guys, but for me, the only players who are actually trying their hardest seems to be Terry, Ivanovic, Cech & Ramires. The rest always give up, don't run, wait for the ball to come to them ect. Last season we'd run after everyone, closing them down, putting them under a whole load of pressure. Maybe it's because Drogba, Anelka & Lampard's ages are taking their toll, I'm not sure. But this is what needs to be fixed. Everyone needs to pull their own and put in 100% which they're not!
  7. Yeah popped up on Twitter last night with hashtag #Don'tbuythesun trending. Seems they're trying to pick it up again. Don't know why anyone would read that trash in the first place though.
  8. just like BlueLion said. Why on earth would he leave the champions for 4th place finishers?! If you want a winger, Marc Albrighton.
  9. For me, Lampard is more than just a 20-goal midfielder. He embodies the spirit of the club, he's one half of the heart of this team (the other being Terry). He joined the club at a very young age, before Roman, and he was one of the few to go beyond when we had the mass clear-out to make way for the new talent. Lampard & Terry represent Chelsea's spirit but also English contingency. Wears his heart on his sleeve and will give all for club and country. A player who will retire with us, as we become his last club. The only player to fill these shoes, that comes to my mind, is McEachran for now.
  10. Bare in mind though, they've been on a winter break since December because it gets way too bad to play. So they haven't played a league game since 5th December, I'm sure they've played many club friendlies since.
  11. Put it this way. 1. FC Copenhagen. P19 W16 D3 PTS 51 2. Odense BK P19 W10 D2 L7 PTS32
  12. Excellent point there. Hope you're right.
  13. Despite everything that's happened this season we still boast the best defence in the league. Ferreira has silenced the likes of Bale and Baines in the league so I have no doubt he can handle his own versus Copenhagen's finest.
  14. Lampard's replacement should be English.
  15. Yeah, just like Steve says, 4th is now the pass mark. If we don't get 4th, the axe will fall on Carlo. There's no doubt of this. I trust Carlo's managerial abilities are sufficient to see us there though.
  16. God this is a right shit one. But seeing as my philosophy is AnyoneButUnited, Arsenal please.
  17. Speaking of media. Check this Liverpudlian campaign to boycott The Sun. http://dontbuythesun.co.uk/site/
  18. Frank Arnesen to join Hamburg as sporting director That's that then. Wonder who's replacing him though..
  19. Haha don't worry, people appreciate it! Well Ollie said stewards kept telling them to sit down today. Depends which stewards you get really, sometimes they let you do your stand up chants, other times they make you sit down
  20. There's the opposition views sorted Steve But thanks for that mate! It'll be pretty emotional for Gronkjaer to play his old club, I hope he receives a warm reception in the return leg.
  21. Robben's sale was justified imo. He was injury prone when we had him, and he didn't really take as many chances as he could have. Sturridge is a different case entirely.
  22. This is why we must ignore most media reports. They'll say anything to make people click on their links. For example we're being linked with Fellani right now in some media outlets, but no-one's making a thread, because we know it's likely to be a bunch of b/s. My policy. Only trust SkySports and BBC for reports. Maybe newspapers like TheGuardian when they give quotes. Never NotW or DailyFail. There are stupid websites like Goal, TribalFootball or CaughtOffside which should never be trusted either. We're being compared with the likes of Tottenham because that's how bad our situation is now. We're slipping into Europa zones so the media-attraction downgrades.
  23. Yeah it's just like Styles said. Him being 31 is good, because that means he's the stepping stone for the likes of Kakuta and McEachran as opposed to being against their development. With Ancelotti this may not be the case since his policy is age > ability. But another manager would look at Yossi as the man to make way for youth integration.
  24. Agreed, was quite difficult to choose who to play there really. I'd forgotten about Mikel, so really: Ramires - Mikel - McEachran Lampard - Zhirkov Torres Would work better. However Lampard's looking off-pace lately so it's a risk.
