  1. So.. Many.. Threads. I heard he wants him on loan? I think we should give him PvA instead, since he's the one tied to a new contract
  2. Yeah read on Bojan. I guess it would make sense for Thiago to go there since Enrique would know him well. Though we can still offer some incentive with Torres, maybe.

  4. Why Roma? Because of Luis Enrique?
  5. Last time the ACoN was in town.. We got a few 7ers
  6. Great player this season, scored great goals & was very effective on the right. Will solve our right-back problem one day.
  7. Much like the whole Beckham incident. Ballack & Lowe haven't got on well since Ballack thought he could reclaim his place post-World Cup. Much like Beckham with England (though, to a lesser extent). However with both teams heading towards a youth direction, such legends of the game are now being frozen out. Beckham & Ballack refused their "farewell" games & continue to make themselves available. But the likes of Wilshere & Carroll to shame really..
  8. Too true. Even the "team of the year" is a joke. Fifa made Carlos Puyol left-back in their team of the year..
  9. That's actually what I think he as well. He, like Capello, had made a mockery of this whole captaincy thing
  10. He's already said there's been no approach by Chelsea & doesn't see it happening at all. I still think he had a falling out with either Roman or Ron that led to his departure.. Ray Wilkins' interview
  11. LMAO good business! Every Tuesday my local does £1 pints. With our entire college going, they usually make a killing
  12. I agree about the selfish part. I believe he's placed a burden on his own shoulders to carry this Madrid team. I think the burden of his transfer fee plays also on his mind & hence he's trying very hard not to let the likes of Peréz down. In doing that he's become slightly selfish & is determined to score more than anyone. Now that Higuain's back as the premier striker & more quality like Sahin coming in, I think he will start relaxing a bit more and start playing for the team a lot more. Mourinho is nurturing Ronaldo and giving him that strict, disciplined coaching that Ferguson didn't use because he liked the young, cocky Ronaldo.
  13. I'm of personal belief that this kind of talent is something one isn't born with. It's something that's developed. I'm sure Messi was kicking a ball from a very young age & his interest of it was encouraged by people around him. The skills he possesses are ones that have been practised for 23 years & nurtured in a very prestigious academy. That's why I believe there can be more Messi's out there if they dedicate themselves to a practice, practice, practice. It's the only way to perfect football skills. Unfortunately with the amount of money now involved in the sport it's not easy to see why many have deviated and why the future quality is dropping.
  14. Oh.. Then I agree. It's pointless sending him on loan, when we do need him & should give him a chance right from the start. We should start him or Kakuta vs Stoke.
  15. That's unfair. Ronaldo has matured a lot under Mourinho this season, he's cut that out of his game a lot now and is looking like someone ready to be a future captain. Ronaldo, for me, is not far off Messi's level. He may not score as many goals, but because he's usually deployed as a winger, Ronaldo gives the same level of contribution to the team as Messi does.
  16. Any young player can be like Messi if they want to. It takes hard work & constant practice. The level Messi plays is attainable by any player, if they're willing to work at it everyday.
  17. Speaking as an Atheist.. No Certainly is one of the greats of modern football though. He's only 23.. A possible decade more of greatness to come. #wearefucked.
  18. Would be great to see him working for the club again!
