Surely you of all people know the spending habits of Mourinho. Of course he has Ozil, Sahin and Kaka but that doesn't mean he'd stop there when it comes to midfield play. I'm sure they'd easily want to sell Kaka if they can land Pastore.

Who says they won't be replaced? If you're happy having below-par players play for us then fair game to you. These 3, over the course of the last few seasons (5 in Kalou's case) have shown decline, lack of progress & signs of a finished product. Anelka on a lesser extent albeit. They do need to be unloaded, and replaced.

Keeping a player who's a good sub player is pointless. You want players on the bench who will have a chance of breaking into the first team, hence keeping the players who are in the first 11, on their game because they know there's someone on the bench a few metres away who will take their place. Kalou is not the type of player to strike fear into the forwards. They know he's nothing more than the odd 20-minute sub man. Sturridge on the other hand can push them out of their starting line up because he can be a potential starter and do a good job.

Very true. I'm sad to see Walcott didn't develop further than he was touted to. I though when Sven picked him for the World Cup in 2006 it's because he saw Walcott become something more than what he is now. I really hope this kid will be the player Walcott couldn't develop into because he can be as effective as Young is now. Though I can see why Arsanal may be more appealing for a player like him. Because of Walcott getting the chances he is under Wenger.

Indeed he was just that. Latest on him is Arsanal are strong favourites. Southampton manager has said no bids in yet. They want £10million for him, and we know how Arsanal work with money transfers. We should really, really consider him.
