I actually think he did well though. Defensively anyway, it's one of his more better shifts in a while. Kept Ashley Young at bay.. Agree with the rest though, Miereles over Mikel was a bad decision. He can't tackle!

I strongly disagree about his abilities now. My opinion is, he's a liability in our squad. He doesn't work as hard any more, he's lazy, he doesn't pass and he tries to shoot from areas where he knows he can't. I thank him for 2 very good season, but I'm afraid he's not the left-winger we've been seeking anymore. He was a horrible choice to replace Robben/Duff and now, with Mata proving effective in the hole, it's time to find a new left-winger. No Perreira, but someone younger.

Cole had a good game.. Maybe my football knowledge is going bad, but I think his decline is being exaggerated. He's still making sharp runs forward and coming back to do an adequate defensive job. Yeah he's lost some pace now, and perhaps fatigue will become an issue but I think we're overstating this. Still got 2 good season left in him, imo.

While I commend your effort here.. I do have to give you the sad reality check that, all those stars you named, were in their prime when they missed. If this was Liverpool-Torres, we'd laugh and forget quite quickly. Not that he didn't play well... But just saying. When (or if..) he finds form, most will forget this, and laugh at it.
