  1. Essien did well on his come back, positive signs, even if they may be an illusion.
  2. Indeed. The commentators don't mention him because he was solid. They only like to mention him with mistakes, never praise his hard work.
  3. I'd voted Cahill as well. That was more due to my lack of information on the other 2 tbh.
  4. LOL Ian McGarry Anyway Twitter's blowing up with rumours of a pre-match unveiling.
  5. True, and I just realised he's a right winger, Hazard's a left one.. Right?
  6. Krasic as back up to Hazard. We'd never have a winger issue again.. For a while. /foolsdream
  7. It's true, but kids are blinded by these things sometimes. I mean it's pretty had to say no to such flattery.
  8. Well to be fair, if Zidane personally approached you and said he was a big fan of yours, it'd be kind of hard to say no
  9. LMAO, say what you want about his style.. André knows how to defend this club and his players! F*cking love it!
  10. Being a mod on TC is quite the mission these days, isn't it? Anyway. Calm down .
  11. Let me save you the heartbreak.. It won't be.
  12. well I'm not believing these Twitter rumours. They're the same ones who keep saying 'next 24hours' every 24-hours. Of course they're bound to be right one of these days
  13. Definitely. Kids are too quick to make their moves to these big clubs, Erikson learnt his lesson pretty swifly, it's perhaps a blessing in disguise that we rejected him. Well, you could argue it anyway. I mean it's why you have to respect the likes of Neymar, Lucas, Ganso et al. The guys who are willing to wait, willing to develop in their native countries whilst maintaing ambitions to step up. But the step up occurs too often for some of these guys when they're 16-19. Alright we have exceptional cases across the globe, like our own [temproary] Oriol Romeu. However these cases are a rareity. It's why I don't worry about Josh McEachran. The kid JUST turned 18. We don't want to rush him onto the big stage, with pressure on his own his shoulders. Alright we can say he's better than our current crop, but the pressure he'll have on himself is enormous. Cleverly and Welbeck had to prove themselves at smaller clubs before they proved their quality to SAF. Back on topic, Markovic could be an extrodinary talent! He's already proven some of his potential by being a Serbian internatioanl at just 17, but he should be left to develop. Not just speaking for Chelsea, but for all the big clubs from Barcelona to Inter Milan. They should allow these youngsters to develop in their native countries till they reach an age where they have enough years of football to handle the pressure of expectations.
  14. Hahaha, that was the case at United. I actually think he's matured a lot more at Real Madrid, but I think he's a bit disillusioned by all the spending, all the wasted talent and all the negativity that surrounds Real Madrid in Spain. This is where England & Spain differ. The atmosphere of the football grounds, the noise of the fans, how close the fans are to the pitch. It's completely different between the 2 countries and I'd even stretch as far enough, and be as bias enough, to suggest the amosphere in England is better than in Spain. I'm not saying the football's better, but the passion and fan interaction is. There's a reason Mourinho loves England.
  15. Reading the OP of this thread, it's my firm belief he should stay in Serbia for 3-4 more years. The problem with kids moving too early from Europe is they get lost in the system here. If they wait till they're about 22-24 then they have a more significant chance of making the first team squads of the teams that sign them. This way their original clubs make more profit, and allow their individual leagues to grow. This is looking out in the best interest of the game, not just Chelsea, Markovic & Partizan.
  16. We simply don't have the resources to do a complete overhaul, nor would it be approved by the board. I firmly believe that. We use so much of Abramovich's money in the last 9years, that I just don't see us having the overhaul everyone's expecting us to havee.
  17. I disagree, for the entire half Real Madrid made Barcelona nervous, even when they levelled. They sat off in the second and let Barcelona play through, but before that they really made things uncomfortable for Xavi, Iniesta & Cesc.
  18. Mou's tactics were on point in the early stages of the Barcelona game, but his players became fatigued in the second half and let them in. Pressing worked wonders.
