  1. It is a testament to kante'a greatness that this slow, unathletic, pedestrian, average footballer is not mikel-ed out. Remove kante from the equation and jorgi looks like a mid table pl player at best. Sure he can be a regista on a good serie A team where the pace of the game is as slow as a snail, but not in PL. He is useless defensively, he is useless in attack and without kante he is just a passenger. A traffic cone on the field would have more value than him.
  2. Is rice's unrealistic price tag any different from the 30m unrealistic price tag of auba? Yet we are paying it because our manager thinks that he can turn back the clock with a 33 year old has been. You don't Dilly dally with your main issue. DM is our main issue and has been for a long time. It should have been the no.1 priority and the only priority. Even if we had to use all our budget in getting a proper dm in. Rather our manager wants sterling, the new Willian in raphinha, Gordon, auba. Hell unbelievable analysis of our situation from him.
  3. A good shout out. I honestly wanted Eddie Howie when FL got sacked. Just saw the newcastle vs city match and they went toe to toe against city. I would also give a shout out to Poch. Wont be a popular opinion, but the guy made spurs look good. We dont have the same issues as PSG so dont think thats a fair stick to beat him with, his football is quite good and attacking (albeit a bit naive at times), but I honestly would not mind him. As for TT, things are really not looking good. I just hope we dont give him any stupid extension
  4. Chelsea in PL under SFL: P58, W28, D11, L18, PPM 1.67 Chelsea in PL under TT: P60, W33, D17, L10, PPM 1.93 Even when comparing with SFL, he barely qualifies as an upgrade. That CL win really gave him a lot of leeway. Hell, he has spend 250m+ along with having another 200m+ worth of players during the FL summer. Post that FL summer (where we got kai, werner, ziyech, chilwell, silva), if i told you that we will be spending another 250m+ in the next 2 summers, you would have expected us to be right there at the top. Rather we have taken steps backwards. Massive massive steps backwards. We look shit, we look lost, we look listless. Unbelievable. I would give him until the winter break while lining up his replacements. I dont care if he won the CL. I care about our bullshit football, i care about our targets (gordon, auba, kounde, no CM/DM). I care how we are falling further and further back despite the huge investments. We are looking as bad as united.
  5. Oh yeah. Because TT never does that. Did not he make a toxic environment when he said we need x amount of forwards and y amount of CBs post our 4-0 arsenal drubbing? And I will actually want to know what is his plan with our midfield. Why have not we bought a DM in 2 summer windows while spending all our budget on attackers? His diagnosis of the problem is that his tactics are fine while its only the personnel that need to change in attack. Bullshit. I call bullshit on that.
  6. Cant disagree one bit. Specially the last comment.
  7. DId not he do that with lukaku? And we have spent 250m+ under TT, can you name a CM/DM? We have sorely needed a midfield upgrade since FL. Hell, even under FL we were heavily rumored to get Rice but somehow TT thinks that its the attacking PERSONNEL who are at fault rather than his tactics. We have let go off lukaku and werner and looking to let go off ziyech/cho/pulisic. Are we any different? No. And we wont be with the likes of jorginho in our mid. Who literally provide nothing. No defensive cover, no creativity, just pedestrian sideways passes. We needed a midfield revamp. We NEED a midfield revamp. And TT says we dont need a midfielder. Like i said, needs to get his head examined. We should be very very careful with him. Any talks of an extension really needs to be put on hold. The CL win is glossing over a LOT of tactical, player management and transfer target level shits. We have been dog shit poor since last november/december since that Juve game in CL.
  8. TT thinks our midfield is not the problem. Needs to get his head checked
  9. Should get his head examined. He has given our forward line a make over where as we needed a complete makeover of the mid. If this is his diagnosis of our issues, need to re-evaluate him. Should not give me that extension no matter what.
  10. Lol. What did TT do last season? He has had 2 summer windows and done nothing to address our biggest problem area - midfield and DM. Has pointlessly revamped the whole attack, to the point of us buying shit like auba. Has been unable to improve a single player. Not even one. Kai, Werner, ziyech, Puli - none improved. If you told me that post the FL summer we would be spending 250+m and not getting a single first team DM, i would have called you insane. But that's exactly the case because TT refuses to acknowledge the problem. It's time we stop giving him a pass and call a spade a spade.
  11. This auba deal has the tell tale Signs of being one of the worst in our or anyone's history. How the fuck did we get ripped off so bad
  12. Hmmm. Let me try to break it down the best I can. Strikers work on service, which we as a team don't provide much but arsenal did. Even in that team, which is kind of thriving post auba, you could see auba's glaring holes. His dip in pace, unwillingness to make runs which were bread and butter to him as well as total inaptitude in closing down opposition. Auba did not fail in arsenal because of the system, he failed because of his personal dip and shitty attitude. Infact, post auba they have been way way better and even you can't deny that. Maguire and the whole United defence is a cluster fuck (to put it lightly). It's a system failure. Maguire looks real good playing for England. Whereas for United, they as a team look lost. A straight ball through the mid leaves the CBs exposed as their is no midfield cover. Their gk makes more mistakes than kepa under FL. Also go back to the post i made. "i would not mind" and what would I not mind to? A straight swap with ziyech. That's it. That's what I think about Maguire. I won't rate ziyech more than 30m and that's the max i would pay for him. A straight swap for ziyech AND if we invest the 80m (of the fofana) deal in replacing jorgi with rice/fdj. How is that inconsistent? How is that not understandable. You can surely disagree, but you somehow seem to have a personal thing against me from my first post, calling me out on my nick and what not. Please go back and read that post again. I don't expect Maguire to be a world beater. I expect him to be a decent defender and our system/Silva to help him massively.
  13. Salah was comically bad too with us for his time here. I definitely remember a shot against Shrewsbury (i know you will love to correct spelling so not spell checking) which ended as a throw in. There have been a number of attackers (specifically) who have failed at Chelsea but gone on to have good success elsewhere. Does not mean they were poor players. I would definitely put Maguire in that same category at United. And i have given my reasoning for it in one of the initial posts, you can go and have a check and spell check too. No matter his issues at United, and with all due respect to trevoh, these are 2 players in completely different classes.
  14. Definitely more than you do. I don't make my opinion based on internet memes though unlike you. Now, can we stop this personal shit? If you want to continue it, you can PM me because I seriously don't see how this is helping the discussion? You feel trevoh chalobah who has been below par for the 2nd part of the season is better than McGuire, then so be it. Let's agree to disagree If you feel auba is the answer to our striker crisis, then so be it. Let's agree to disagree.
  15. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Oh i am done. Sure mate. Whatever helps sleep you at night.
  16. 😂😂😂 Is McGuire better than sarr and/or trevoh? Cause thats what he will be replacing. The answer to the above question is a very definitive YES. Is a 33 year old auba better than last season's Lukaku? Hell no. Then what is the point of getting him. Understand? I know the whole situation is hard to comprehend, but think about it. You might get there some day. Also there is a massive difference between "i would not mind" and "happy". Again, think and try to understand what is written before replying and quoting any posts for future mate. It will help me, you and the others.
  17. Would not mind it if it was let's say a direct swap for ziyech. We need a CB, McGuire is a good one. He should simply never have been bought for 80m or have been touted as United's answer to vvd. Also, i will be very careful analysing any forward at Chelsea and any defender at United. Simply because of those team's respective mids. We lack any creativity resulting in lack if scoring opportunities, while United lacks any defensive nuance resulting in the CBs being hopelessly exposed. Lastly, if Silva can make sarr look serviceable, i am sure Harry would be more than fine. We should redirect that money on replacing jorgi with fdj/rice And improving our mid.
  18. Oh my god. 25m£ for a 33 year old. Great business. Just by the transfers you can see and guess why we are so far behind Liverpool and city. So so far behind. Unbelievable
  19. Lukaku has accomplished as much if not more. He has scored almost double the PL goals as auba. I am not belittling auba's past achievements, i am putting up FACTS showing that those achievements are more than 2 years old. He has been in decline and getting him is a mistake. And why are you getting it now? Obviously i am salty as fuck that we are signing a has been for a large sum who just 6 months ago was considered not good enough by a fellow top4 competitor. Hell they did not even charge a transfer fee for him. Just let him leave for free. Should there be any more of an indication of his dip for arsenal? I am judging auba the 33 year old. I don't care what he did for BVB, i don't care what he did for arsenal 4-5 years ago. We are NOT getting THaT auba. We are getting a well past it, a has been player, who does not even look like a good fit. Get it?
  20. The same blind men can see a well past prime auba who struggled totally and completely for his last 1.5 year to the point of being sold for free to Barca.
  21. Oh wow. How about that guy who was given a monicker of "king of milan". Should we re look at him? Get him on board. Heard he scored in the 1st minute of something along those lines
  22. And what is that goal record since he turned 30, care to explain and do a deep dive? You do know not every player has the same dip. Essien was a bloody beast at his prime and someone who could barely play once he turned 30. Auba's dip and his last 1.5 seasons at arsenal were shambolic. His goal scoring numbers and the eye test are indicative of that FACT. We might as well bring kun out of retirement and give him a contract. He ticks all the boxes Can score goals, has a great goal scoring record in PL, will be a stop gap etc etc. And "we need goals".
  23. Lol. For fun😂😂 Sure buddy, whatever sails your boat.
