  1. The scenes if we actually don't get fofana while getting auba, gordon and Maguire.
  2. Oh. I thought his loan to spezia was all but done
  3. Ampadu is very strongly linked out for a loan too
  4. Honestly a very well written and thought out post. Don't disagree with much. Look, our previous regime WAS a lot of hit and miss. We had a fair share of bakayokos, drinkwaters, baba rahmans, Barkleys etc. No doubt. But there were some transfer which looked wrong from the offset (bakayoko), where you could see his lack of technical ability being a hindrance in a very fast paced league like the PL. I don't think a lot of us (or the footballing world), ever thought that our list of attackers would not pan out in such a way. Werner was indeed very close to Liverpool before we came in. That was not a smoke screen. The hype Kai had was definitely not something which i make up. I feel Puli had the talent and did show it, but like you said, injuries were a massive deterrent. All in all, i feel, this was a talented (not perfect), but very talented group of players. Just an year ago, our attacking options were touted as one of our biggest strengths. Also i worry far more right now with some of our rumored buys. Some of the players that we are rumored to be close to, should not even be in conversation for this club.
  5. CHO is the only one on that list who has never truly justified his talent. Rest all have and they have for a significant time, making massive names for themselves. Just to make a point, Puli was balling in FL's first season. His hammy during the fa cup final and while being through on goal can be taken as a turning point in his career, but in that covid year, he was lighting up the league. As for Kai, Werner and ziyech, we are using the 4 months with FL as saying they were not what we thought they were, but a season before Werner had scored 30 goals or so, ziyech was balling with ajax and Kai had 2 20 goal seasons with Leverkusen. I think the main objective for TT would have been to find a system to get the best out of them. And that's why i raise the point of him failing to integrate these players. Fine, even if you want to argue that they are not as good as we thought, but replacing them with auba and gordon. That has GOT to be mental and criminal man. That is what really makes it insane. I would love to be proven wrong. I will be happy to be proven wrong and be ridiculed (even more) on here with being called a troll and what not. But i don't see it happening. Hence my take on TT.
  6. I am absolutely not. But i also, don't agree with the sentiment that the problem lies solely and solely with the players. I don't believe that ALL of our forwards (Lukaku, Werner, Kai, ziyech, Puli and cho) are trash and should be binned while TT did the unimaginable of keeping us competitive Despite of them. Because that is the narrative which is being thrown around here. Just yesterday someone made a post highlighting the shortcomings of each of these players and literally denouncing them. These are not average players. They have their issues but our very talented players. And that's where my issue is. TT is given a pass when it comes to literally 6 of our attackers, he is given a pass for not buying and solving our midfield/dm issues, he is given a pass for not adapting tactically when clearly a lot of other teams have learned how to play us. I don't think any other manager has got as much leeway as him. Add to that our recent list of targets, it's just trending in the completely opposite direction of where we are going. Gordon and auba over the likes of the talents i named above.
  7. Are we really going to discredit our own players just to big up TT? The season we got Werner, Kai and ziyech, we were the envy of the footballing world, and let's not mince words around it. Kai was one of the, if not THE most sought after young player. Werner was sought after by none other than Liverpool, ziyech's exploits in the CL were well known. Just because TT has not been able to get the best out of the above mentioned players does not lessen their quality (even if they have their shortcomings). Again, to reiterate, getting those 3 talented attackers had us be the envy of the footballing world. Also, let's be clear, i don't dislike TT. But i don't think he has done anywhere near a "great job". Just look at the post you wrote and the context in which we write about Werner or Kai like they were some mid table evertonians who we got for free. Similarly, in the Lukaku case, TT is absolved of all blame while the board gets it all, like seriously? We would buy a 100m striker for a manager who won the CL without his go ahead and acceptance, seriously? THAT'S the narrative we are going forward with? You can call me a troll, that's your opinion. I am taking a stance and speaking my mind and not afraid to do that. Just because my opinion does not match yours, and my pov does not match the "narratives", it does not make me a troll. For me, the CL triumph should not overshadow the failure to improve/integrate some of the best available talents in the world, a poor attacking structure, and very very mediocre record in the PL (specially given the money spent). Pep likes to shoot himself in the foot and overthink shit like not playing fernandinho in the cl final, that should not be the metric by which i will judge a manager. He has built a dynasty and a winning machine. Obviously they have their own issues be it a mental block in cl or whatever. We took a decade under RA to win the CL despite having one of the best teams and squads from 03-10. Infact if you ask me, the 2012 CL win was with one of the weakest squads we have had since 03. Might be debatable, but that aging squad was not supposed to do what it did. Meanwhile some of our best ones fell just short in the semis or a penalty kick away. Again, it takes nothing away from those teams, they were great teams as is pep's city right now (unfortunately) and he needs to get a lot of credit for it, cl win or not. We were supposed to become a dynasty to with such young talents around, instead we seem to be trending in the complete opposite direction. Most/majority of us seem to think that our players are shit, i don't, sue me for it (or keep calling me a troll). I think we are severely underperforming given the talent at our disposal, and i feel the reason for it is the manager who refuses to address far more important issues like a DM rather than buying a new attack outright. AS for replacements, i have already mentioned the names twice or thrice (infact there are multiple posts of people calling me out on it, have a glance). Let's not forget, when TT was rumored, a lot of people were unsure about him too. So let's keep that in mind.
  8. Exactly this. We might not get the manager his plan A everytime but we can go back and verify across manager and across time that we have got the players the manager has wanted. Jose2.0 - cesc, Costa. Then he wanted Pogba with his effiel tower remarks which never materialized Conte - his list of serie a players in Morata, emerson, Alonso etc Sarri - jorgi, kepa, higuain (loan). No way would a club buy someone for a 100m without the manager's absolute and complete backing and go ahead.
  9. A guy can dream. You keep writing your lists of players knowing very well we won't sign them. It's the same for me.
  10. Hard to fight a nice story mate. People have build up narratives around TT and Lukaku. Literally absolved TT of any and all blame.
  11. True. Cause name calling is really constructive, right? I have my opinions, you can have yours. There is no need to start name calling and acting like a 12 year old. Learn to respect another's opinion. I have not been disrespectful to anyone on here. I do have strong opinions and it's based out of my love for the club. You can be on the polar opposite end of it and that's fine. But again, there is no need for such a thing.
  12. Now this will be a transfer that could instantly have a massive impact
  13. Not a scout dude. Never claimed to be. I love Chelsea, watch a decent amount of PL hence familiar with some of the names we are linked with. If you want me to be happy about signing or being rumored to sign auba, never gonna happen. He showed massive signs of decline at arsenal and was worse than what Lukaku was last season for us for almost 1.5 years. As far as Gordon is concerned, currently he will be lucky to make whu or Leicester teams who boast some not tier1 but good players. And i would rate gordon below them, signing him for 60m is the definition of a panic buy. Keeping him over some of the names we are willingly loaning or selling is criminal.
  14. Seriously whiny bitch? Did not know name calling is fine on here. I guess anything goes when trying to protect TT
  15. My point was on the poster who claimed that the manager needs time to get the type of players he wants. My point is simply : Does the manager have any clue what he wants and what can work? Last season there was a 3 striker shortlist going on: haaland, Lukaku, Kane. Each of them is as different as they can possibly be. Again, is their a method to his buying? I don't see it. I don't think he is buying auba because of his game style, he is simply buying auba because he was an ex player and thinks he can roll back time. I did not like jorgi from day1, always thought he was a misfit for PL. But atleast you could see what sarri WANTED to do. Why jorgi of all players available was bought by him. With TT it's as random as it can be. It's bordering on nonsensical.
  16. Leave that aside. The same manager bought 100m Lukaku to be his strike man, and instead of replacing him with a similar mold of player, he is replacing him with auba. Are they 2 even similar from any pov? The poster you quoted is saying that the manager needs to buy "players that suit his formation and style". What exactly the fuck is that? He goes from a flat track bully to a pace merchant within a season. Looks like TT's simply got a case of "buy me some new shiny toys". Nothing else. I doubt gordon, auba fit his "mold". But well, supposedly they are better than Werner, Lukaku, Puli, cho and ziyech. Great call by TT.
  17. Anyone who thinks that a 33 year old auba, an unproven and mediocre at best Gordon is not the answer to our issues. Anyone who has the basic sense to see that we needed a DM before spending all the money on foolish buys. 🤡
  18. One of the reasons i would not mind us sacking him right now. Buying gordon and auba for 85m combined, we will be (are) the laughing stock. The new manager will need to use this dross for a season before discarding them through the loan system and us cribbing about our bloated squad. Unbelievable how shit we look on and off the field.
  19. Testament to how good our board was under RA. We spent, we over-spent. Sometimes on good talent, sometimes on dross, but still made sure not to give uefa anymore ammunition to shoot at us. This regime seems to be run by clowns at the moment. The way they are rumored to be overpaying for players in crazy. Literally paying 3x the actual amount. It would all be acceptable if atleast the players coming in were going to improve us. We are fucking overpaying for absolute dross.
  20. It's not entitlement. It's simply not accepting mediocrity. At the end of the day, do i feel a Conte, Jose, klopp, pep can get better out of the current squad while solving the issues of the squad with 300m , hell yes. That's not entitlement that's basic analysis. TT right now seems to be above scrutiny if expecting a title challenge with close to 500m being spent in last 3 seasons seems to be labelled as "entitlement". Stop the comparision with klopp, it's embarassing. Klopp did not have anywhere near the resources that TT does. Also, klopp's Liverpool's football and the progression was always there to see. Unlike TT.
  21. 😂😂😂 Comical. Gordon, auba. Can't wait for this season. Going to be an epic one.
  22. Rudiger and ac were there for the last season. I feel his tactics have been found out. Our only x-factor is kante. When he is on the pitch, he can literally change the game, but other than that, teams have understood how to play us. I don't think that has anything to do with the defence. We did not get demolished by leeds due to defence, it was our mid being overrun. Any mid who can get in jorgi's face will thrive against this team. And we have done nothing to correct it. As for TT and the club, we did go through some weird times, but his abysmal league record is not just due to it. How are people ignoring his utter dismantling of our attacking personnel. I was happy and fine when it seemed that it was just Lukaku who was the issue. But now we are literally selling Werner, ziyech, Puli, cho. So I am to believe that ALL of them are the problem while AUBA-fucking-mayeng is the solution. That is the height of ego from our manager who has just thrown 4-5 players under the bus from his tactical deficiencies. I am not willing to give TT a pass just because he had to answer a few tough questions. A lot of us have to go through something personal while keeping a happy face and still trudging through life. All the while not earning in our lifetime what TT is earning in a year. I hope we win each remaining game of the season, but i don't expect that to happen. If i was the club, i would be lining up replacements right now while giving TT a couple more months because I don't see any positivity or upside. His transfer targets like auba, gordon are poor. His tactics have been found out. I don't see any players who have improved under him like Salah/Mane under klopp. All i care about the club, and TT does not give me any indication that he is doing good for the club.
  23. Come on man. That's not fair on TT Leao will play as a RWB. Also, i cant wait for TT to want Lars and Sven bender out of retirement next season as our defensive mids. Will be legendary. Auba, Lars, Sven. The whole bvb gang back together.
  24. I disagree mate. Go back exactly an year and just look at the hype we had. Most of us were expecting to either win the PL or be there-thereabouts. If i told you this time last year, that within a year this Chelsea squad won't even be odds on to make the top4 next year, you would have called me an absolute hater. The squad we had last year was good enough to win and atleast challenge for PL. The only squad i would say was poor was under lamps and maybe sarri (aging). We have spent 450m in the last 3 summer and that is rumored to go upto 550 or 600m. The talent that we have acquired was the absolute envy of our competitors. We have severely severely under acheived. TT has failed to get the best out of or even integrate any of the new big name signings. Any other manager would have been called out for failing to improve Kai, Werner, Lukaku, ziyech but TT for some reason keeps getting a pass. And these are some big names. Werner was wanted by Liverpool, Kai was wanted by the world, ziyech was considered a magician, Lukaku for all his deficiency is one of the best goal scorers of this era. You can't say that we did not have quality or the squad was not good enough. I look at our very rapid decline to mediocrity within a year as failure from manager and management. Not the quality of squad
