To me it's just a case of people getting over influenced by the media.. he'll sign, and then suddenly he'll be a legend again, if not by signing then after he scores a couple of important goals..

He wants to retire at Chelsea, for that to be absolutely certain, he'll definitely need a long contract.. 4-5 years definitely.. else in a2 yr contract, another change of manager or scolari losing faith and he could be so easily asked to leave or his contract not being renenwed, when he'd have liked to go on as a player.. These are the things from franks perspective.. The club's perspective is fairly obvious.. and is shared by many fans over here.. and I for one, don't blame either party.. the only way i'd hold a grudge, is if the club sold him.. cos you don't cash in on legends, certainly not for 8 million and when they don't wanna leave.. or if Frank handed in a transfer request.. all that talk of retiring and love..
