Not want to be taking 10239th dig on Potter, but we need to actually get the CL football first to go any way there 😶 In current cl run, the "healthy" thing may be a madman's dream.

So… People will probably chill a little, as we luckily got 3 points, but seriously looks like doctor starting to learn his craft in ER room. Palace's subs after goal made them different team, that was agressively pushing us until FT, Potter's subs made us locked up in our own half. Still no sign of any individual improvement, actually, most improvement came from TB's threats + our players literally have the body language of Bojack Horseman. Gotta love this stuff.

Pathetic Silva is the only one eager to stand up against the blind ref and palace fuckers, where's Ballack when needed?
-
Now Gallagher with yellow for not touching the guy, interesting
-
If that's yellow Felix should have gotten the warning then
-
Palace hunting for bones since 15, if we'd only have some character to cut their shit off instead of getting injured…
-
Can't say the emotionless, empty stare of our players looks very convincing tho
-
We need goal tho. Any signs of Potter actually being alive in the ditch is a positive now

This account makes me chuckle from time to time. What's HUGE here, given Potter doesn't have much choice due to injuries, we have Liverpool coming, there's huge pressure to play the youth and not rotating the squad at all will only lead to even more injuries?

This is a question I have on my mind since beginning of this window. Wonder what happened with the idea of buying Portugese/Italian club as having something like this would suit the idea TB is apparently trying to pull off very well. Basically better version of how we used Vitesse in the past and it would also easy our FFP as well I guess and TB could be firing cash at craziest buys he fancies.

Given how the Raphinia circus was (not) handled and how Enzo circus was (not) handled, our new PR team undergone the refreshment as great as the medical team did.
-
Registration slots aside, we have just 9 homegrown players, including somewhat fictional Castillo in first team and U21 players won't be U21 forever. Also, not sure about RLC, Chalo and Gallagher situation, so yeah, hope they have a plan for it.
-
Except players from Ukrainian league have rather poor track record bar maybe Zinchenko, who was bought for like 2 million. Hope we will not be soon saying that Arsenal fooled us into buying bang average player, especially that I see the opinions on his CL run are rather mixed, to say the least.
-
They should try calling Barcelona or Bayern to talk about their issue.

Wanted to reply it's a bold statement coming from mouth of Chelsea fan, but reality reaches the equilibrium damn fast 😂😂

Are those players actually exist tho? Modern football is what it is. Some are surely fans of the club and would love to be here, but most will see mostly paycheck and trampoline to more successful teams. Small leagues players who will find it honour to be here just won't be good enough, we can as well field our academy team as a first team, but what's the point? It's more the matter of character and mentality than format of player – just look at Silva. Yet people were still completely crazy about people like Dembele coming here. Again, no point of making steps backwards just for sake of it, we still need elite players. Club also needs to build it's pull and can't rely on players being fans.

Been thinking about that "ending player power" statment and while it's a slogan well liked by this board, TB seems like few years late to the party. Willian is long gone, so is Hazard, Abraham, CHO and Rudi, so who are they after, actually? Is TB talking to players he bought himself? Throwing cash like there's no tomorrow makes shifting them very difficult. Players being lethargic because they lack leadership in dressing room, leadership in person of a manager and confidence in club structures is something different, than players sacking managers because they don't like them. You can't force everyone to play for the badge and benching or motivating underperforming players is managers job. I don't really see TB needing to drop us to Championship to prove his point with Potter and rightly noticing your manager and Foo Fighters physios may actually be clueless is not quite "players being on power trip" Also I have a feeling that "players turning against TT" is another thing being overblown to make excuse number 9384274 for Potter. Were players on low morale? Yes. But who was "sacking TT"? Pulisic's father, because his son wasn't star of the team and Werner upset by being played out of position. Anyone else?
-
Yeahh, I mean, we are not getting the new leaders to build on, no CM (cms) who will immediately have impact, no CF, Felix seems more a makeshift solution than thought out move, deadwood still no books. Benoit guy and youngsters are cool, but will they be integrated into the team asap? If they are, all good.

2023, multi-billion dollar cashflows, cutting edge medical staff, yet people are still capable of pulling this kind of stuff off. If this is true, he is done and I guess it's a solid reason for his fresh peachy contract with BVB to be void. And it may be one of rare occurrences when it's not even his or agent's fault, given the article.

This is all true, but the question remains what about now? Is it okay to just give up and wait around until summer? Let's face it, we are not doing anything this window, so the summer is only opportunity and I doubt we will be able to replace like 10 players in single window. And even if we will, it will be another months until they will get some cohesion. The six month until summer is bit of elephant in the room and surprisingly lot of people seem be ok with idea of totally downing tools, missing out on Europe and playing academy (wich is actually somewhat fine), whereas it is the time when Potter should at least demonstrate what is he capable of and what his general idea is. If he isn't capable of basic management with current squad, he won't be capable with "his players" and needs to go. (assuming he actually is working with DOF on building some vision and not just picking who he likes, what defeats the idea you are talking about) The idea of literally just sitting around for 3/4 of season, replacing entire squad (wich is unlikely in practical terms) and only then expecting GP to actually START to get to work is just crazy.

You clearly said you don't bother to read stuff you trying to discuss with and it shows, so why still comment under every single post I make? You either choose or are forced to choose to see things in most oversimplified way possible, that's fine - go back to giving Potter time and save your sanity. There's an absurdly hard to find, yet still existent "ignore" button and I wholeheartedly recommend to use it. Yeah, I don't like him and never wanted him here as he is ridiculously below Chelsea level. Sooner or later the shocking news that he is in best case very not ready for the job or in worst case just bad/mediocre will need to be swallowed even by English media loving his puppy, that so far seem to be the main source of support for this outlandish appointment.

Ofc it's always easy and doesn't require much thought to blame players for everything, but it's funny to see people thinking it's possible for the club to perform on highest level relying solely on individual player's skill. Yeah, PSG tried it in the beginning of their oil-era. Unless Potter imposes basic structures NOW, like discipline, fitness, tactical idea, flexibility and MENTALITY (that I personally doubt he is capable of), you can excuse him to death, buy 25 new toys, then another 25 and then some and be utterly shocked we are still in the same place. I perfectly understand TB rebuild idea, at least on paper, but it seems like quality, experienced and preferably having experience with each other group of people to pull it off and it's doubtful he got the group, from physios to manager. It won't work with half-assed characters.

Isn't Slonina still in his previous team till end of season? If he is here, I don't know why he was not given a slightest chance yet.
-
Thought he sacked his celebrity clinic first, but it would mean TB admitting mistake and actually fixing it, so dunno what was I thinking.
