Wondered how bad and bitter week it will be for him if Potter get's sacked 😂
-
Geez, finally we've come to an end of something that should have never had started in the first place. I don't drink but I'll crack a beer tonight. Most of reasonable people could see how it will play out. It was task way too big for him and not really something he excelled in. Meanwhile wish him luck in smaller club that needs to fight to improve and scramble for anything positive - that is something he seems much more suited to.
-
I'd say it's becoming laughable, but it laughable since at least 2 months. Soon the board will consider grass being too green an obstacle for Potter to perform and decide to focus on "bigger picture", that is, I guess, our chances to reach the upper part of Championship's table.
-
I can already see so called "deadwood" HG players in form of Mount and Gallagher suddenly killing it for pool. Wonder what's the reason behind this…
-
Are we tho? I know people like to see it this way, but we are switching personel and ideas non-stop, buying youngsters and actually playing youngsters is not the same (GP played youth when he was absolutely forced to) and the team seems way too clueless and depressed to play "beautiful football". Most of the fundamental change that people like and use to defend the current situation exist only in theory I'm afraid. Hell, I'd even not bash Potter on the wired shit he had pulled yesterday as it's at least a sign of him doing something, instead of hanging for dear life and saying it's the "vision".

Comedy. Where had they been for last 3 months? And the Artreta card… a lot of Potter fans use it, but if board is seriously thinking this way… Let's hope they are serious people.

There was a lot of stink around Nagelsmann long before he was sacked (partly because he fitted Bayern mentality bit too well), but we are not really in position to be picky. Tuchel didn't have a great reputation as well. If I was to give sb a risky shot, it would much rather be Nags, than GP.

That's literally some Ted Lasso shit in those pressers
-
So how bad we had actually become, given there was sanctions, no players in key positions, dressing room tensions, years long stagnation, squad few levels worse than now and question over the clubs further existence? We were 10 at worst, now we are 11.
-
I just hope they included some evaluation after the season in his contract, that would bring the compensation down and it's the reason they drag this shitshow for so long. Besides, the "massive fee" is just a transfer fee of another 1,25 random player who will underperform here, so it's not the end of the world. On the other hand, our performance is.
-
So, the PR team behind club's twitter is stamping all their shitposts with Mudryk's photos in hopes that he will get some hate instead of Potter, or what?
-
Not even some cheeky pyro would help the mess this club is on the level beyond fan's influence. It's the hope that kills you as they say…
-
Hope someone had actually briefed the Mighty Todd that Nagelsmann actually exists and who is he when he became available.
-
So, let me guess… Another "The Board retains trust in Graham Potter despite his total lack of ability to manage a top team and is willing to let him ruin another season or two to unleash the power of TeH vIsIoN®, as the Owner doesn't believe that having an actual competence fits his ideas better, than being a yes man" incoming?
-
Bayern trolls always want to buy all our players, especially those worth unsettling, so I wouldn't be sure Tuchel's presence will bring this bs any closer to actually happening.
-
Lol, always thought he's just bit younger, than Willy C, but never seen him play, so it's somewhat justified. Interesting he agreed to be a deep reserve then. Surely he isn't going into the team, even if Kepa and/or Mendy go. Still my question remains, as it wasn't purely about him. If it's only about HG slot, I'd rather see some actually playing HG players, than such a ghost bodies for sake of it.

Nothing against the guy, but I wonder how much sense there is in having 3 senior keepers in teams with strong 1 or 1 and 2. It's not like two keepers get injured at one frequently and is the 40-ish yo GK, who is closer to coaching staff than player is so much better in games, than promoting a U21 GK?
-
Dunno, don't want to throw spoilers here, but last time I've seen them there was a lot of yes-man, yet suffering in Championship 😂 I will say it again, all this circus would be a godsend, if only we were a mid-table club. But in last 25 years we were not, yet we are on good track to become one. And then surely the process will make sense, but I doubt it will be worth it 👀

I'm afraid he hardly follows anything bar Ted Lasso

Actually bit surprised with TT decision. Bayern to me was always a stinky, comedic institution with a lot of self-entitled-ness around due to no financial competition in farmer's league. Not the most inviting work environment, but maybe TT fancies he won't have to deal with anything other, than managing. And unless he plans to trash Salihamidžić and Kahn wannabe CEOs comedians from the get go, this is a portapotty fire waiting to explode. Meanwhile in Graham we trust, as I doubt Boehly will even bat an eye on Nagelsmann. I'm not saying I'm a big fan of him, but in current situation, lol, be real.

Brighton's groundsmen incoming?
-
Would love to hear more on that. Keepers seem to have a sinusoidal form nowadays. People were envy of De Gea, year later they wouldn't want him for free. Heck, even Cech was not the kind of machine we remember him. The current situation reminds me the beginnings of Kepa, when defense was shaky and he was horrid. Behind solid defenders, his error rate went down and performance up. Sure, we can get Oblak, he will be more solid, but won't have it any easier saving the sitters he is confronted with. And in two years people will call for replacement as he is too old and on decline. Meanwhile we are on the verge of shitting another 90-something million on Felix, who is undoubtly very likeabale lad, but not quite the savior we need. This is exaggeration, but it's starting to look like some FFP coconut islands get rich quick scam. Boehly is playing va banque, basing on the result that seems to be out of reach with current personal structure. Will he come out and say "sorry, we are not able to spend a dime for next 8 years, but trust the process, stadium is coming, Potter is nice"? And still, we have not quite cheap Slonina who fits us nowhere but the satellite club we don't have. And I won't even go into people thinking we will get him as number 1 and some 16 yo serbian as number two will be the first people to cry when they will let the first howler in. Given we have limited resources to spend, I'd focus on pursuing creativity and finishing, GK could be upgraded, but is it really *that* urgent? Unless, we are shifting Kepa and freeing his wages, but I doubt it's realistic.
-
Kepa & Mendy are far from perfect, but somehow synergic duo. The GK market is similar to strikers right now - no robocops exist and actually, Mendy was closest to be one for a while. If people think that getting another GK will magically cause us to stop conceding goals, well, think again. Feel like it's the least of our worries and some FFP millions to find better use elsewhere.

It's been six months and I still wonder what the hell in particular is the "long term project" we are supposed to suffer for, as the only thing Potter is instilling here, besides being mid-table, is The only philosophy I see here is Potter desperately looking for a lifeline that would prove he is capable for the job (which he isn't), not to mention any solid success and not even thinking silverware. I will laugh so hard at all the time-giving Potter god-save-the-queen lovers, babbling about muh bEauTifUl fOOtY, when we will start parking the bus after 1:0 at halftime against relegation teams (and concede anyway, because it worked 15 years ago, now teams actually have to have some tactics).
-
This is actually confusing - since there was so much talk about "building new identity" and we will need to be patient and suffer when implementing this, one could except something more of tactical mastermindery, than suffering for 16-ish games only to revert to Tuchel's system, but done less effective. If Boehly went from idealist to practical, than GP should be long gone. If not, what's the point? Waiting for Potter to "invent" countless crosses into box as a remedy for lack of proper striker…
