Thank GOD!!! Finally we wont be starting games with a goal deficit.
-
We don't have ziyech and puli. The next best player on the wing is KAI. Not CHO, not mount kai. Infact he has played more games on the wings or false 9 than as an AM. And he has been brilliant in that position. It's not even a "makeshift" position for him. So i can totally understand FL playinf him there
-
Kai banged 20 goals last season for Leverkusen playing as a RW or a false 9.
-
Klopp was looking stupid in the start of his tenure. He might have stuck to his play style and formation, if FL does that and gets 8th position, then "fans" like you would rip him apart. You can't even give him the due when the manager before him barely got top 4 with Eden hazard and getting the players he wanted. The manager before that (Conte), did not get top 4 despite spending 200m on bakayoko, emerson, Morata etc. FL lost the best player of the league, had a trnsfer ban to deal with, gave us an attacking play style, integrated youth and yet all you can see are his negatives. On top of that just the sheer talent that he has got in wrrner, ziyech, kai will help the club no matter if he stays or leave unlike his predecessors. Kepa looking bad is not on him, you trying to spin it that ways just comes off as pathetic. Rudi getting exposed in this system is his talent issue. I would rather take a pint with tomori and his way higher ceiling, than a bang average injury prone Rudi.
-
Lol. His issues witj dealing with crosses were very much there even then. It was only his shot stopping which kept him relevant. Something which FL could not possibly impact. Any team coached by any manager which undergoes such a massive transition where the club's basic style of play is uprooted and changed, goes through such a period. Go and watch 1.5/2 years of Klopp with pool and see how shit they were defensively. Hence the difference in how Rudi has performed where he has simply been unable to adapt to the system. Blaming kepa on FL is literally the most nonsensical thing I have read, and won't even reply to such an obnoxious thing.
-
Both the world wars too. 😂
-
There is so much bullshit in this one single post that it's literally impossible to deal with it. 😂 Specially the kepa part. He can't stop the ball, since his SARRI FIASCO, but somehow even THAT is on FL. What. A. Joke.
-
So you think if silva gets injured then rudiger, the worst CB of last season, the most senior cb we had who needs more hand holding than tomori and AC. That guy would have been the answer?
-
Mount is "shoved" into the team because he was one of our best players in the team last season. It's his role in pressing which actually makes our pressing click. The only "agenda" is to play the team that can win. As for your "agenda", suprised we did not buy an English striker instead of werner, an English gk instead of Mendy, an English cb instead of silva, an English winger instead of ziyech, right? Like it was said, by many there, one of the most pathetic posts to have read, just as the rudiger one Talk about him, how does he merit to be in the squad. What did he do last season to be given that trust
-
Exactly. The opinion was actually so funny. But what to say, it's the same guy who said FL has a thing for "English" players and that's the only reason we bought chilwell. Kai, werner, silva, sarr, Mendy, ziyech are also all english 😂
-
Then he should go pursue a career as an agent. His on field performances don't merit him a position in the squad
-
Actually sad to see how negative things are here. I always thought Arsenal Fan TV was staged, that fans cant be THAT bad. But its worse on here.
-
Cause that's was a completely legit thing to say, right?😂😂😂
-
What is the confusion here? Do we have a doubt that our intereat in rice is legit? NO Can we realistically have jorgi, kante, rice in the squad? Hell NO. Who among kante and jorginho is gaining interest even in rumored? Or who can we see giving us actual big money. I mean why are you twisting things? I have said before and will say it again, I love kante. I want hin to stay. But if we are to buy rice, I am 90% sure, we will have to sell kante as he is the only one to actually have teams chasing him. Am I clear now? You must also believe that FL is truly happy with kepa and won't be selling. Right? Come on man.
-
There is no substantiated rumors about interests in Kante so its my "agenda". And yet we are able to happily Bash FL based on a random article? Thats not an agenda? Atleast mine is based off on simple logic that having all 3 of Kante, Rice, Jorginho is impossible. Jorginho does not seem to be getting any interest, Kante is rumored to, hence likely to leave if we want to get Rice. Atleast I dont claim to be privy to FL's thinking about where he wants to play Rice and bash him for it.
-
Kante links with Inter, Kante links with Arsenal. The same Athletic that you are using to bash FL says that the only way we buy Rice is if we sell Kante/jorginho (as has Law, as has ROmana). But since it does fit the agenda, it becomes "my agenda" about Kante. Managers may say the truth from time to time, but is this the time? Its anyways a buyer's market, would we weaken our position in any negotiation tactics? Also IF kante and jorginho are "WANTED" by FL, please tell me how is Rice a possibility? We are going to have Kante, Jorgi, Rice, Gilmour, Kova, Mount, Kai, Barkley, RLC for 3 positions?
-
Regarding Kante - what is he supposed to say? "No Kante is for sale, please come and get him". You actually think ANY half-decent manager would say that? He also said Kepa is his no.1 GK and we got a new GK 2 days later. I mean seriously, aren't we clutching at straws now to bash FL. Dont think Rice has been talked as a CB since we got Silva. Since we got Silva, all rumors and everything has been about Rice as a Kante/Jorginho replacement.
-
The article claims that Lamps wants Rice. Matt Law has re-iterated that we will try for Rice, Romano has, Phillips has. Multiple sources since the last month have said that we will be willing to hear offers for Kante and jorginho and replace them with Rice. So how is it that he has had a "re-think" about rice or even his position? Seems to me that Rice is viewed as a DM option since a long time.
-
Has Lampard EVER actually spoken ANYTHING about Rice. Do we have an actual footage of him saying that he wants Rice as a CB, or he wants Rice as a DM. What are we basing all of this on? Metro? Daily Fail? Sun?
-
Thank god.
-
Bravo was his buy. He had Joe Hart. Also bravo was not a record signing whose exclusion from team sheet would have massive repurcussions with the club having to take losses to the tune of 50m to get him off. Also since you got Klopp in the previous argument, do u know the positions and the goals his team conceded in his first 2.5 years at the club? 8th, 4th and 4th. And here we have people (not you), saying the manager is indefensible after 1 transfer ban season where we also lost the PL's best player, and 2 games where we don't have half the players that would be in the starting 11. Compared to that, has not FL over acheived?
-
Klopp changes his style of play. Against city, Emery arsenal he did just counter the shit out of those teams. Against Bayern. Pep needed 450m € on just the defenders to get that system working. And don't think he had anywhere near the issues we do with what's happening with kepa
-
No he wont, but does not mean he is right. He barely made the top 4 in his first season in PL with a team stacked with talent. Games like everton 4-0 were embarassing to watch.
-
Given the 50 odd games of last season, so has FL. But we also need to be aware of the situation and reality here. Just because we spend 200m on transfers, did not make us world beaters. We have to give respect to Liverpool who have schooled the likes of Barca, City and beaten Bayern in 18/19. With our best team available, I have no doubt we would have been far more adventurous. But we just were not. A cross in the box = goal with Kepa doing his antics. A half decent shot is made to look like a world class one by him. To give us even a semblance of chance we had to let go off the far more naturally attacking instinct of this team.
-
Pep changed the way he set up against bloody lyon to stop depay. He played his best player and one of the best players in the world out of position against LYON, with a full squad.
