  1. My mate is a Fulham fan and watches every game. On Tosin he told me that 'There are times when he is on the ball you think he may be Beckenbauer, but he has too many Titus Bramble moments in losing people to simple runs to ever be an elite player'. That to me sounds like a ball playing Disaster type player - not sure I want another CB who cannot track simple runs.
  2. If we sell Trev for £25m then the transfer strategy people need sacking after blowing £80m on Fofana and £40m on Disaster.
  3. With these types of deals, the delay is probably due to family related payments.
  4. Excellent post. I this also applies to Trev who was our best CB last year. Both of those players need to stay, rather than sell them to buy some injury prone player or some brain dead player like Disaster. For sure, if we are getting Bellingham and Silva to come in and replace then sure, but we obviously aren't. As for the overall positions, my areas of priority are: CB GK CB CF AM For me, Disaster and Fofana cannot be relied upon, Disaster because he is a complete and utter liability on the pitch and Fofana because of injuries. If Trev gets sold, then we can only really bank on Colwill and Badi but both of those players are green and had injuries as well. At GK, I think something needs to be done Sanchez isn't good enough and Petro is good GK2 level. In addition to this, it looks like we are going for possession football, which means both Sanchez and Petro will give away disastrous goals if forced to play in that style. After that, I think we need a CF and a RWF/AM. At RWF/AM I would go for Eze. Olise is the sexier player at Palace but he looks better in counter attacking situations so he can use his direct running, power and pace. Eze on the other hand has the better feet in tight spaces and workratte, for me Eze is the one that slides into the team easier and complements Palmer better. At CF I do not have much of a clue, for me we could ideally do with a Giroud type player from 4-5 years ago to help out Jackson.
  5. The club won't care. Maatsen will be gone due to FFP capital he creates. If they decide to get a new LB the only question then would be Chilwell v Cucu. This is the same with Gallagher and Trev, and those two are two of our better players.
  6. I think we will either get the £35m or close to it. If BVB don't pay it there will be a couple of PL clubs who would be happy to take him on considering his HG status and relatively low wages.
  7. RDZ isn't a lickspittal so he has probably been dropped for that.
  8. This kind of thing is missed by the Poch fans when the season overall is taken into consideration. For sure we got better when everyone came back, but our lack of game management throughout the season was the single biggest reason we did not sleepwalk into 4th.
  9. Can see us having no Europe next season now. Not sure we're going to jump through the FFP hoops required for Conference League.
  10. Knowing Clownlake it is probably Austin Powers.
  11. There is absolutely no chance Sterling goes to Palace.
  12. Well we should've had two against the Dippers, one against City in the Semi and I think there are more. It is all well and good saying we had a lot, but it is because we've been fouled so much. However, I agree it is largely to do with incompetence. I thought it was 3, have they changed the rules on this? 5 is crazy.
  13. Not for sure, but yes if Utd don't win the cup, which is unlikely.
  14. Trevor has been our best CB this season. Selling him is lunacy. I don't, full Summer of rest is what he needs. Don't need that moron Southgate running him into the ground because he wants to play ultra defensive football. Disaster as I call him needs to be sold ASAP. Since he has been out of the team we've barely conceded. Absolutely woeful player.
  15. Well if we don't get the draw then we deserve Conference.
  16. Yep, you're both right. I got that wrong.
  17. If I see Disaster in the starting line-up tonight, then Poch needs to go in the Summer imo.
  18. Apprantly, we have another £5m due from Real from them reaching the CL final. Talk about the gift that keeps on giving.
  19. Personally, I would rather a GK than a LB as Cucu has been decent enough this season - for me it is better to try and get a another decent season out of him then we may be able to claw some money back. As for CB, I am going to stick my neck out and say I want Silva. I know he is still super young, but there is something about him - although I do worry a little about him aerially in the PL. As for CF, I am not sure who is out there. VO seems like a receipe for disaster and that Sporting kid needs to show a lot more than one season, imo, to start being valued at £100m. My ideal CF to buy would be Alverez from City but that is never happening. If we try and stay in the league and go budget, my choice would be Callum Wilson, but I am not massive fan of his - I just think he would be the best bang for buck.
  20. Trevs been our best CB this season, so selling him is madness. As for Conor, I really don't see how giving him a new contract is going to be so bad, as there will always be a buyer for him and he is one a only a few players we've got that have proven they can stay fit.
  21. Poch must be breathing a sigh of relief today. If that Villa game last night ended 3-1 we would've only been six points off 4th if we had seen out the Burnley and Sheffield games, with only a 4 goal differential. Personally, I see Villa losing to Palace and Spurs not beating City. If that had happened it would've raised quite a few questions imo if we now beat Brighton and Bournemouth.
  22. I think of all the players, Broja is the one with most upside if we keep and he has a decent season on loan. As you say, currently he is £10m-£15m, however if he has one decent season where he knocks in a few he adds £15-£35m to his price owing to him being a CF and on fairly cheap wages. In my opinion he should be either sent to Germany - where they play wide open football - of Soton if they come back up. Another option in the PL may be Ipswich as he is probably still better than Moore. However, the would require us to do something like sell Hutchinson to Ipswich for say £20m with a £25m buyback/first refusal - which actually probably makes more FFP sense than loaning again.
  23. Kepa doesn't have weak wrists but mechanically he has a big weakness which is his habit of swinging his hands behind his back before attempting saves - particularly those low down to a corner. That is the reason why he sometimes allows balls to go past his hand after he has got it there. There was a deep dive on this - I think in The Athletic - but it may have been somewhere else. Either way, I also like Jackson and have supported him against his critics. However, Kepa is a poor example to make your point with. Ramires, Drogba and Lampard would've been better examples of players who were largely written off by our fan base, only to turn them around.
