Instead of concretrating in fixing this mess, he will be relaxing in Portugal. Cool.

Martin Samuel article is just the old "firing manager is wrong" press nonsensical. It seems he doesn't know whats going on. Comparing Borussia situation last season with Chelsea this season is lazy. When Borissia was playing UCL Final in 2013, their best players were Lewan and Goetze, both are playing for Bayern. Borussia is not a team that can even dream about paying 40m for an unproven Everton's CB. Chelsea have enough resources to build a decent squad, and if the quality is low at the moment, well, its the team he created. To be honest most of english press seems to be lazy when Chelsea is the subject, they are so obsessed with Liverpool and United, they just don't know whats happening elsewhere. Before the season started veryone was saying Chelsea had the strongest squad and full of depth. Joke.

From same article: "Mourinho needs to find answers quickly if he is not going to earn himself only a stay of execution. Despite winning the league last season, despite signing a new £8.5 million-a-year, four-year deal in August and despite being the most popular manager in Chelsea’s history, Mourinho remains far from safe." "The Premier League now goes into the international break with Chelsea then facing winnable matches at home to Aston Villa and away to West Ham United, with a Champions League tie away to Dynamo Kiev and a Capital One Cup tie away to Stoke City before they host Liverpool at home on Saturday October 31. It appears a pivotal run of fixtures for Mourinho."

At this point if you don't understand why he is part of the problem, then there is no reason to detail anything.
-
It seems Carlo is the favorite.
-
Simeone would never go the press trying to save his own arse and pointing his fingers to individual performances from his players.

wow, that was rash. Firing your manager after 8 games, and one and a half month after the start of the season. Liverpool board showing they have the balls. I hope this will encourage Roman to do the same.
-
I think its not only because of his reputation. Lets be honest, even for Chelsea stantards its a little rash to fire your managerAt the end of the day only 8 league games were played. Season started only one month and half ago. Lets be honest, even for Chelsea stantards its a little rash to fire your manager right now. The PL is over, United, City or Arsenal will win it, but lets think about the top 4. The team is 7 points behind the 4th, but its Crystal Palace. 5th is Leicester. I don't think those teams can keep this form untill the end of the season. The teams that could end in top 4, in my opinion, are Everton, Spurs, both with 13 points, and perhaps Liverpool, 12 points. The gap is only 4 and 5 points, its not something impossible, but to be honest, I think the situation is really bad. We are not talking about a situation where the team is playing decent football, but the results are not coming. Football from yesterday is a huge indication that something is really wrong. Think about Matic situation, and the way he try to "motivate" his players, actually the players are lacking confidence, and worst than that, it seems they just won't play for Mourinho. I said this before, most part of this squad are spanish and brazilians. No doubt the likes of Costa, Fabregas, Azpilicueta and Pedro are used to stories about Mourinho during his time in Spain. No doubt Brazilian players know from Marcelo why Mourinho wasn't loved by Real's players, and in Brazil Mourinho is known for being arrogant, more than special. I don't believe in next game, Matic will be motivated and after a international fixture, the rest of the group will play a game thinking "oh, we must play for Mourinho, the man is a legend, we must improve because he is angry with us, we can't fail him, he trusted us". Its not a good message when the mager is in the press blaming players and never taking any responsabilities. Those guys are no fools. Imagine if your manager during a press conference say the team is playing so bad, he thinking about playing kids instead. Remember we are also talking about a group. Every single game he chooses another scapegoat. Terry, Hazard, Matic, Oscar, Falcao, Remy, Matic again. The group is affected by those things. Imagine your boss are being unfair with your teammate. Whats going to happen? No doubt this will affect how you take what your boss say, and you might even think: I might be next target. I think some people still don't understand Mourinho completely lost the dressing rom. Some reports in the press are saying "it seems Mourinho is losing", ah, fuck off, he is not losing the dressing rom, he already lost it. Perhaps I'm wrong, but at this moment there is no reaso to believe Jose Mourinho will fix this mess. For me, the sacking is a question of time.

Rumors coming from DM are reporting he survied a meeting: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3259268/Jose-Mourinho-survives-meeting-Chelsea-board-not-sacked-despite-poor-start-season.html If thats true, it means the board is thinking about sacking, if that was not the case, there was no reason for the meeting. When your are doing a bad job and there is meeting with your boss where is said your job is safe, your boss is basically saying: we believe you can fix this mess, otherwise you are fired. With the current form, Mourinho will be lucky to even survive untill december.

am i the only who really laughed during the game when that happened? Geez, the man looked like an amateur there.

Before the start of the season, anyone who understood what was going, knew this team had many problems. The idea that Matic was world class DM, Cahill was world class and Terry was as good as 10 years ago, all of those ideas were crazy. You just can't accept that Mourinho started his 3rd season with Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta as the main defense. Despite that, I'm really shocked about the current situation. The football today is easily worst than any game from AVB, Scolari or RDM years. Southampton completely outplayed us all over the field. For a moment, I was afraid they would score 6 or 7. Its clear Mourinho lost the dressing room. I'm sure in the future there will be many stories in the online papers about how Mourinho lost the dressing room, and was sacked less than one year after winning the PL. Its hard to say why he lost the dressing room, but he only got himself to blame for the quality of this squad. I won't point the players that were here when he came back in 2013, because everybody know who they are and what they are doing elsewhere. I think in some years from this day, many will understand what happened since 2013, but at this point I realized that Mourinho is VERY limited. I'm shocked about how limited he is. He is a winner, but he is limited. I mean, he arrived saying his formation was 4-2-3-1. Instead of trying to take the best out of his squad, he asked the players to adapt to his 4-2-3-1 formation. Mata was playing as a winger who must mark the opponent's full backs, and thats not what Juan Mata is about. It doesn't matter if you are facing City at Eithad or the worst team of the league at SB, its the same 4-2-3-1. I was never a big fan of Ancelotti during his 2nd season, but during many games in 09/10 season, the team was playing mid/attack: Ballack, Lampard, Joe Cole; Malouda, Anelka, Droga. The team played with no proper DM during many matches, something that Mourinho would never do. Opponents realized how this team play, beacuse its pretty predictable.

For me Mourinho's future is pretty clear: he will manage a european NT after Euro 16, probably England or Portugal, and stay there for the next 4 or 6 years.
-
Just went to hang out with my ladie and watch The Martian (thought the movie was pretty average), and when I returned home I was really shocked by two things: 1- Mourinho has not been sacked yet. 2- Only 50% of people who answered the poll so far believe Mourinho should not get the axe. I thought it would be up to 90%. If people who make decisions know what they are doing, Mourinho will sacked as far as monday, but since they already gave him a contract extension, one year before the end of the current deal, then perhaps they don't know what they are doing, and there will be a dead man wakling as the manager untill someone realize the axe is rational thing to do.
-
I was thinking about thats, imagine a cynic strategy. The team end in 3rd in group stage, just to have e genuine chance of winning EL and getting into UCL next year.
-
Some stats: No club in PL history finished higher than 5th after getting only 8 points in 8 games. Average finish 14th. The current football is more 14th than 5th. Top 4 is only a dream.
-
That just doesn't make any sense. We are not talking about a situation where lazy superstar players resufe to follow the orders of coach, because they don't want to change their playing style or don't want to get dropped. If Jose Mourinho lost the dressing room, thats his own fault.

MATIC OFF!!! AFTER 28 MINUTES!!! WHAT A JOKE!!!
-
Pele scores.
-
Mane, pass from Pele. Thats sound cool.
-
WTF??? Thats what happen when you have Ivanovic and Cahill in your back four.
-
Decent game from Falcao in this second half.
-
hahaahahah, Ivanovic, what are you doing?
-
Right move from Mourinho. Matic will help the team to regain the midfield again.
-
and with a manager. we have neit...
