  1. Carlo had 16 years. He is no a long term manager. He stayed here 2 years. Time enough to prove he didn't change, and definitely is not the kind of manager we need to build the future.
  2. This. van wasn't my choice, I would brake the bank to lure Guardiola. Unfortunately I'm not the one who made decisions. But in this moment we must support the new manager, specially one like van Basten. He is young, and he must get time and patience, specially if there's a overhaul in squad in the summer.
  3. Its a shame not that people like you support Chelsea, but its a shame that there are people in the world like you. Just accept different opinions. This is just football mate, this is not an opinion about a politic or a religious subject. Calm down. Be cool.
  4. It seems that its going to be van Basten. We must support him. And Alex, you compared Chelsea administration with the nazi regime, that wasn't fair.
  5. Sources indicate his fate was sealed even before the match against MU in CL.
  6. Carlo is sacked anyway, we don't need to attack each other.
  7. Italian football is popular in Brazil. I love sports, not only football. Love volley, basketball, tennis, athletics, gymnastics and swimming. I'm not as some of you that believe football = english football. Italian football is now boring, but I keep watching Bundesliga and some games of La Liga. I'm not judging Carlo base in this 2 years at Chelsea.
  8. eldinho, if you believed in last news you posted, then you should believe in this: - Neymar tops the list as marquee signing for #CFC. Team will be rebuilt around Torres to satisfy Abramovich's vanity purchase. - #CFC have already instigated plans to sign 5 new players this summer. All of whom have been approved/recommended by Hiddink. - Hiddink will be coach of Turkey until after June 4th qf. Then be announced as Director of Football at #CFC followed by Van Basten as coach. - Carlo Ancelotti leaves #CFC. As I said he woud some 3 months ago. What a bloody shambles of a club. Hiddink/Van Basten will succeed him.
  9. Again: he stayed 14 years in Italy and won only one Seria A. He is not a long term coach.
  10. Ian McGarry is just talking bullshit to make Chelsea look like the bad guys who doesnt respect managers. I dont believe it.
  11. he wans't sacked because he didn't won anything, but because he is not the long term manager we need.
  12. mate, after all these topics and months of discussion about Carlo you still come with "lesser coach than Ancelotti" argument ?
  13. This is was actually a good post. I don't think that right now Chelsea is in crisis or we are in some kind of "instability".
  14. No. Since the first moment when I read he was our next manager I wasnt happy. I used to watch italian football and despite his CL glory I never saw him as a great coach, or the right manager for our current moment, when we need a manager who know how to introduce new players and to work in a transition period. He won the double, he deserve respect for that, but he is not the right man.
  15. This is not personal, I'm discussing Ancelotti.
  16. everybody knew, but some people were reluctant do accept the facts.
  17. Hiring Ancelotti was the biggest mistake.
  18. I don't see him coming right now. He wont take that risk.
  19. This guy it the wisest one in this forum, his Jimi Hendrix avatar just reinforces it!!!
  20. All the clubs in the world are looking for stability, but sometimes you get a manager and discover he is not the right man for a "long term" job. It was the problem with Carlo, he wasn't the right man for Chelsea's long-term success. A manager who play Paulo Ferreira as a CB instead a player from the academy in a game against a relegation club is not the right one for a "long term success".
  21. Indeed. I respect Carlo and what he have achieved for us. But his peform in this season wasnt respectful with the club. Chelsea is not supposed to help people, and be gentle with Carlo and say "ok, I'll give you another season because you deserve respect, and because we are supposed to act like a "class club"" The official statement was a class one. It recognizes what he did for Chelsea, but it also recognizes that his no long compatible with "long-term football objectives and ambitions". I accept people saying it was the wrong move because it won be good for Chelseas ambitions and objectives, but I can't stand people saying it was wrong because a "class club" is not supposed to sack a manager, or that Carlo was a great man and because of it he deserved one more season. Scolari is also a great man, won a WC, he deserved respect, and he was sacked after 7 months.
  22. I rather be like Madrid than like Everton. Stability is not the main goal in football, the main goal in football is win, trophy and glory. Yes, I'm a glory hunter, and all great players and managers in the world are glory hunters.
  23. If after sacking Carlo we are a step closer of becoming like Real Madrid, then I'm happy. No matter what you say, they still are the greatest club in the world.
