Cahill was too wide. I mean, Luiz had the ball, every player that has the ball can lose it, so Cahills position was not the best for this kind of situation. If you have a GK that will take a free kick, then one player stays in front of the goal to avoid a goal from long distances.

Sturridge was good, and Luiz was also good. Second goal was Cahill's fault, Luiz lost the ball in the middle of the field, and Cahill was unable to stop Hernandez. There was cover enough to stop United's player, but Cahill as usual react really slow. Keep blaming Luiz, while our biggest problem in the defence is Cahill.

Luiz is really good with the ball in his foot, we need a player that knows how to take the ball from the defence and put it on the attack without losing it. Luiz make a lot of mistakes, bu he barely miss the ball when he has it in his foot in the defensive field. We need his skills in this system we play. While I believe he is erratic, I also believe he is a better defender than Cahill.

Plus ethnicity is different from "race". Race is more generic than ethnicity, if you call someone black, you dont want to know if he is from Ethiopia, Kenya or Nigeria. These 3 countries have distinctive ethinic groups as their major population. Chinese and korean are two distinctive ethnic groups, but in the west we think they have the same race.
