I think Pochettino is doing better,
-
Its all up to Lukaku. He still is 20 years old (at least thats his official age). Diego Costa is 25 years old. He must decide what is better for him. He can be the 2nd CF choice for some seasons, until he can be our 1st choice (he can even play alongside Diego Costa), or he can be the 1st choice for Everton and follow Heskey footsteps.

Actually Mourinho tried really hard with Shevchenko, I remember he even said that Schevchenko was going to play until he scored a goal. So, Mourinho is not really different from other managers in this aspect.
-
I remember early in the season people were trying to say Suarez was an overrated player because he only scored goals against small teams... The funny thing is, if we had a striker to score 4 goals against teams like Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, West Bronwich or West Ham, at this point of the season there would be little doubt about who would win the trophy.

Lots of people putting Schurle in their line-up. Ok, Oscar is not playing as good as he is supposed to do, but even when he is not playing well he still better than Schurle. As I said before, Schurle has 7 goals in PL, scored those 7 goals in 4 matches. Perhaps those 4 matches were the only ones when he played a good football. As someone said in another topic, after William scored against Stoke, some people were talking about other aspects of his game, that were always there, but after a goal it seems people change the way they look at players. Schurle is not good enough in almost every single minute he is on the pitch, but people still have in their minds that hat-trick against Fulham (that came after an useless 1st half) and the match against Arsenal. Every time people ask for Mourinho to put Schurle in the 2nd half to change the game, he never makes any kind of positive impact when he arrives in the game.

Martinez and Rodgers are easily the managers of the season.
-
Cech; Azi, Luiz, Ivanovic, Cole; Mikel, Lampard; William, Oscar, Hazard; Torres.

1. Hazard 2. Azpilicueta 3. Cahill -
I think Ivanovic is a decent full back (he is certainly better than Bosingwa and Ferreira), but he is not a proper right back you need in games like the one we lost to Crystal Palace, or even for a game against Stoke. Sure he can play as a RB, but I dont like the idea Mourinho sees Ivanovic as his ideal RB. The man can't cross, and the best definition for him in terms of his attacking instincts is "attack killing machine".

I hope Willian keeps scoring goals, specially because some people believe Schurle should be starting because he has 7 goals.
-
Yes, he is.
-
Mourinho said no one would be rested.
-
No. City would win in goal differences.
-
I have a bad feeling about this one. Chelsea 1 x 2 Stoke
-
Not a big fan of this kit. PS: WTF is Torres doing in the add?
-
Cech is still a great GK. Its really difficult to be on top when the rest of the defense is a liability. Still has at least 4 years as a top GK.

JT goal should be in top 10 greatest own goals of all time. I think only Oseas goal in 1998 was more exciting:

I think such thing happen because some people are quick to put Hazard in a level he is not yet. Hazard is a inconsistent player, who plays great in some matches but disappear in others, and its clear he is one of the players Mourinho was referring to. When the team was on fire, people were saying Hazard was the reason why we were winning, but when the team is underperforming and Hazard is disappearing, some people quickly remember that football is collective game. Someone said Liverpool fans were idiots because they believe Sturridge is better than Hazard, but comparing both for me is far from a madness. Specially when we realize Sturridge has better stats. For me thats Hazard level at this moment. He is more Sturridge than Ronaldo, in terms of his level.
-
and there was a situation where he had to pass but instead tried a stupid shoot that was easily blocked by a PSG defender. Its about decisions making, its not a matter of being more or less selfish.
-
People know about that, but the press is saying it was his fault because he made a "silly foul".
-
Avarage squad that end up in 3th last season in PL...okay.
-
There are few players in the world that are so good that you build a team around them, perhaps only Ronaldo and Messi. Hazard is not that kind of player. Same argument were used in Torres favor: we needed players to improve Torres. This is not Hazard FC. Stop the madness.
-
About Luiz bashing, for me the story is pretty clear. JT scores an own goal against Palace, not a single word in the press about his own goal. Luiz scores an own goal against PSG, he is the villain. Some papers are even saying the 1st goal was his fault because he lost the ball possession, even if Terry assisted (using Mourinho words) Lavezzi in that goal.

After such a game, there are people around there who still believe this season is a success. I understand it was Mourinho first season and the squad had many problems. Some can even call this season a transition. It might be a transition, but it still a failure. Its failure for Chelsea standards (its gonna be only the 4th trophyless season in 11 years of Abramovich era), and its gonna be a failure for Mourinho standards (its his 2nd trophyless season since 2002, the second in a row). Only failure specialists would say this season is a success.
