My point is that I don't see Huntelaar as a stop gap striker because 1. We'd have to offload him in the summer if we get a Falcao or a Cavani in the summer and 2. He's not going to be satisfied being 2nd choice striker. Short term wise he'd be an okay solution but I'm looking long term. I still think Torres and Sturridge are just about enough to get us through this season which will allow us to build a proper strike force in the summer.

Notice I did say for a top four finish, not a title challenge!

Not attainable in January obviously... Do you really think Huntelaar would like to come in January only to be shoved aside in the summer? I don't think so.

... And in the La Liga. Huntelaar's an excellent finisher I'll give him that - but on the ball he's a slightly better Torres. His link up play is quite poor. Would you be happy to see Huntelaar as our main striker when the likes of Cavani and Falcao are quite attainable? Huntelaar's 29. He wouldn't come here as a back up striker either. Hence why there's no need in us to sign him.

When I say classy, I mean technique wise, how comfortable they are on the ball... Think Ibra, RVP... Not saying Berbatov is as good as them, no chance, but he is a lot more classy than Damaio, their first touch and control of the ball are miles apart. Damaio is more of a poacher whilst Berbatov can get involved in the build up and provide assists and goals.

All defenders do this, people are just bringing it up because the analysis team couldn't really find their usual "lets criticise Luiz" stuff so they brought up that incident like Luiz is the only one that does it.

I can do that too, it's not too hard to pull off a rainbow flick... And it's not something he does normally. Berbatov is a lot more naturally talented, one of the classiest strikers going, while Damiao reminds me a bit of a donkey, frustrating player.

I've followed Huntelaar's career since his early days at Ajax since that's sort of my hometown club but honestly he's not a bad player, apart from his finish he's absolutely useless, would not fit in well here at all. Would be a step backwards given all the other striking talent available ATM.

He would ruin his career by coming here right now.
