I don't know how Bale's overrated. Can anyone tell me a better pure winger in the PL ATM? Or even La Liga? (Excluding Ronaldo, don't really classify him as a winger). He isn't the best in the PL but he's certainly top 5 IMO.

Isco is pure class and we could do with him as a squad rotation option, but we don't necessarily need him. There is no guarantee that we need him just because when Mata doesn't play we don't seem to have a brain in attack. I'd rather look internally and try to sort something different out e.g. playing Hazard at no. 10 or something before we spend money on another player in the -3-. The "we look poor without Mata so let's buy another no. 10 just for the few games so we can rest Mata" excuse doesn't do it for me IMO. People are forgetting we're potentially bringing in the likes of KDB next season, plus the fact that someone like Oscar and Marin still haven't exactly settled in as well as Hazard has. Once again, I really, really rate Isco, he's a joy to watch, but I don't think he's necessarily needed. I know he's coming at a cheap price but like people have said, it's not exactly needed. Need is a hyperbole.

Demba Ba is wonderful.

Ramires is hench.

Ba's hold up play is superb. He's just a nuisance as a striker. Very good signing.

We've got a few teams hot on our ass for the top four spot. Winning in the PL is a lot more vital than winning in the FA Cup in my opinion, regardless if we stand a chance of winning the PL or not.

I really don't understand why we're playing a stronger team against Southampton than QPR. Should've been the other way around.

I see what you mean, but I don't think you should look to your DLP for tenacity. Benat is taller and heavier than Cabaye anyway, and certainly isn't a pushover IMO.

Don't think it's AVB solely. Tottenham have a knack for signing potential stars - Bale, Walker, KPB (even though he didn't work out there), Kaboul & Modric are just prime examples. Tottenham have a good scouting network. Besides, it's not like Holtby was an unknown commodity anyway, he's made huge strides in the last 18 months...

Exactly why Benat would be a very decent option due to his price.

Problem with Didier and Fernando is that they both need to be the main striker in a starting eleven. They both didn't have the mentality to be the supporting cast - Demba can. Ba is very much like Anelka in that respect, so I suspect he will start a game with Torres a few more times than Didier and Torres did. I can foresee Demba perhaps filling the Moses role this month too whilst Big Vic's representing his country.

Hmm. I still think we could do with a proper deep lying playmaker in the squad, we don't have one whatsoever, regardless if Torres goes or stays. We have no real initiator in the pivot. Unless of course you see Luiz in the pivot permanently, which I don't.

Still doesn't cancel out the fact that he's probably the best winger in the PL. Unfortunately there is no space for him in our team and Tottenham won't sell him to us unless we offer them silly money.

Monster. Would be a good move if we were actually in for him.
