  1. Last night pointed out exactly why I don't see David Luiz as a mainstay in CM. Against a team that is excellent at pressing he'd get found out - exactly what happened yesterday. We struggled to control the midfield partly because of him. Needs to stay at CB next season, only stepping in at CM when we have injuries or players need a rest.
  2. I still thought he was our poorest defender last night tbh, save his last ditch challenge.
  3. Ramires' son has the same epic head shape as his father...
  4. Hoping for a Chelsea and Arsenal win - can't stand Twattenham. I'd have: Cech Azpilicueta - Luiz - Terry - Cole Mikel - Ramires Moses - Mata - Oscar Ba Possibly have Ivanovic in over Azpilicueta who might be tired or in over Terry if JT can't make it. Let's get a win boys. Come on Chelsea!
  5. His season's over IMO. Don't want him aggravating his injury.
  6. Because that's what's he's been doing at Real Madrid right? Hooving the ball up to Benzema/Higuain/Callejon because they're all Drogba-esque strikers - oh wait.
  7. Genuinely feel for Benfica fans, they must feel horrible, but Jorge Jesus is a cunt of the highest order.
  8. Probably our best player in our Europa League campaign. Congrats Fernando.
  9. Chelsea and Rafa was never going to be rosy but I'll say thanks to Rafa for not royally fucking up and actually managing a decent job. He hasn't been the miracle worker the media will have you believe he is but credit where credit's due, he's done okay. He's done the minimum we've expected (well, I expected) - win a trophy, get top four so fair enough. Good luck in your future endeavours Rafa.
  10. That's inevitable when you play nearly 70 games in a season.
  11. Fair enough, I didn't see the replay so I thought we were arguably let off - cheers for clearing that up guys. Great call by the lino in that case.
  12. Delighted. In my humble opinion, Benfica outplayed us. We were poor. Had a goal wrongly ruled offside, outplayed us for the majority of the game and generally kept the ball flowing and held onto the ball a lot better than we did. Nevertheless, this is what is so special about us as a club. Our backs may be against the wall but we still somehow manage to pull it out of the bag. 11 trophies in 10 years, the most successful team in England in the last 10 years - what a wonderful achievement. Torres delightfully surprised me with his excellent performance. I thought he was really good despite lack of service; he still chased a lot of lost causes and took his goal really well - credit to the lad. My man of the match. Ivanovic, my word, what a header. It was even better than Didier's last season (but obviously didn't mean as much as Didier's did) - the technique, elevation, the way he picked his spot even though there was hardly any pace on the ball was wonderful. Great finish Branislav. Bane was quite solid defensively as well bar that last minute gaff where he was spared his blushes by Cahill who I thought was poor throughout the whole game save his last ditch tackle in the last minute. We were so lopsided as a team today, had no basic structure in our general play at all - Hazard was a big loss today. However, we still got stuck in and won. This is a winning club - something the likes of Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool fans are jealous of. Spurs fans have no right to say we have no history when it is a fact that we've won more trophies than them: United 61 Liverpool 59 Arsenal 39 Chelsea 26 Spurs 24 Who's the small club now Tottenham? Wankers. Let's end the season on a high and beat Everton on Sunday. Champions of Europe, we know what we are.
  13. Team: Cech; Azpili, Ivan, Cahill, Cole; D Luiz, Lamps ©; Ram, Mata, Oscar; Torres. - subs: Turn, Fer, Ake, Mik, Mar, Benay, Moses. Guess we were forced into picking that team. A bit lopsided - Ramires is our most direct threat which is quite worrying. Glad to see Mikel and Moses on the bench though, gives us the option to switch it around. Come on Chelsea!
  14. One of my favourite all time CFC performances include the Michael Ballack show against United when Lampard didn't play and Ballack seemly took over. What a great performance that was. EDIT: Found a video of the whole performance! JA!
  15. Agreed. He would've been perfect for our pivot. Brilliant defensively, can drive the team forward from midfield and has excellent short passing game. Only thing he could work on really was his long range passing but his pros definitely outweigh his cons. Shame we didn't go for him, £15m is a steal.
  16. If you switch to ChelseaTV he's in full training right now. Also another interesting note is that Luiz seems to be playing at CB in the training game that's going on now. Good news on both fronts IMO.
  17. Selling JT and not renewing Lampard's contract in one season is like selling your soul to me. Call me sentimental if you want but you just don't do that IMO.
  18. Has to be that vile, disgusting, sub human Spurs team for me. Hate them to bits, their fans are so delusional and jealous of our recent success it's a joke. I exactly wouldn't call them rivals though, just club I hate the most. WE HATE TOTTENHAM.
  19. nono is just trying to be controversial/play devil's advocate for the sake of it. I'm not really fussed by his posts, they just give me a good laugh .
