Play the youngsters. I'd love to see someone like Boga or RLC get a game here.

Next year as in 2015 or next year as in next season?
-
You could be right, but he shouldn't have started Mata on the right considering Southampton's main threat (Shaw & Lallana) are on that flank and most attacks were going through them. Fortunately though he realised this and brought on Willian who is excellent defensively. The fact that Shaw went off at HT also helped - although Clyne is still a decent replacement, Clyne wasn't fully fit. Coupled with the fact that Willian is great at tracking back and that Azpi had a great game defensively, it really stopped So'ton from threatening.

Hmm, disagree. In the last 4 weeks alone Suarez scored 11 goals, yeah he didn't score against us or City but for me he's still been the best player in the PL this season and in the last couple of weeks. Yeah I agree, Suarez has been quiet in general against big teams but overall he is currently the best player in the PL. Eden is definitely around there at this moment though but I think he can be even better. I'm just waiting for Eden to explode like I know he can before I say he's the best in the league.
-
Sorry, not to knock Eden but that goes to Suarez.
-
Where did you get £50m from? His release clause is at £30m.
-
Lmao.

The midfield we had in 2006/07 of Lampard, Ballack, Essien, Makelele and Mikel was fantastic. Midfielders aren't only judged on being able to pass quickly or accurately. The way that midfield was able to dominate physical was truly a great thing to watch. That midfield was one of the best the PL has ever seen. I have no idea what you're on about.
-
Lampard out till the end of this month, Mikel will get a lot of game time.
-
But that wasn't what I meant at all, if you looked at the discussion you would've understood what the premise was.
-
How have you concluded that I meant that? Sorry but you've completely taking it out of context. So you're saying our first half performance was better than our second one? So you agree that Torres had a better performance than Oscar and Hazard? Because that was the premise of the discussion and you've completely taken it to mean something else.
-
What sort of headline is that? Mourinho never said anything like that. This is what he said: But Mourinho said: ‘I don’t want him to go, that is my opinion and that is my wish - but my door is open. ‘The club door is open too, so when a player wants to speak with us we are there waiting for them. But if you ask me do I want to sell him, I don’t want to DM are always full of crap.
-
Watch the second half, you know the one where we actually scored goals in.
-
Oh really? I forgot to laugh sorry...
-
Over Hazard and Oscar? Haha wow, Torres fanboys really are blind.
-
Oh no! God forbid him spending time with one of his closest mates! On a serious note though, has nothing to do with Neymar, it's just how football is in general in Brazil, players go for the penalty rather than the finish as Robguima said above.
-
He didn't do much offensively, he barely does - what I meant is that he provided a platform for our attacking players and even Ramires to perform like they did today.
-
Oscar is growing into some player. He keeps this up (offensively and defensively) and he'll be the most complete #10 in the world. Finally beginning to show his creative touch which I thought he has been missing a bit this season.
-
He hasn't been amazing recently but players go through bad spells. Cut him some slack.
-
Finally beginning to take on the responsibility that'll make him a great player. Another good game from Eden, this should be the norm for him; he does that and he can certainly become a legend here.
-
Mikel was very solid today, did pretty well in protecting the back four and also played a hand in Willian's goal with a nice forward pass to Oscar. We looked very good going forward today and I think Mikel having a decent game played a role in that.
-
Agreed, with him being a freak athlete for his position and with him playing a lot he's expected to get injured especially when he's not fully developed yet. The niggles will stop in a year or two.
-
Still unbalanced. Not convinced by the Luiz-Ramires pivot (hasn't even been played once this season so don't know how you can say that's the best) and Azpilicueta on the left is unbalanced. We look much better when he's in his natural position. I'd say our best XI is: Cech Azpilicueta - Cahill/Luiz* - Terry - Cole Ramires - Mikel/Lampard* Willian - Oscar - Hazard Torres * depending on form
-
He wasn't amazing but to say he was atrocious is overstating it. As I said before I thought defensively he was very solid, and he bailed us out on that Lallana chance, plus made a key defensive header so for me defensively he was okay. I agree that on *some* instances he was a bit suspect but overall it was an okay performance for me.
-
Pains me to say this but he should leave for the sake of his career, Mata is and will always be a brilliant player but he isn't playing in his favoured position and he isn't useful out wide on the right. He doesn't fit into Mourinho's system either, and we can fetch quite a bit of money for him, so I think for the mutual benefit of everyone he should leave.
