  1. We can't even play proper attacking football when we're going forward, we're lost in attack usually. Interchanging ideas are a myth. Our players aren't at that level of understanding.
  2. 4 or 5? Elaborate please... I personally believe that we need another CB, another CM and another ST, but they have to be the right signings. If we had done these correctly in the summer the squad would be fine right now. You're right in saying that we've spent too much to buy 3 more top players but what's happened has happened. It's why I was against the Willian signing; even though he's a great player - £30m on an area that didn't need investment whatsoever was pretty pointless.
  3. Who in the world is saying that Luiz is the only defender with amazing technique and the ability to intercept? Read the thread and you'll see that people commend Kompany on his technical ability too. You don't need to show videos to make that known. Heck, why don't I put a video that displays a fragment of Luiz's technical abilities as well? Here you go:
  4. Yeah, I expect at least 2 of our AMs to leave as well, and Lucas can come in and fill the void in the future as the kid is still very young.
  5. How many times does it have to be said that Luiz has been injured?
  6. To be fair, I'm pretty sure AVB was actually the long term option but because he screwed up do badly he had to be sacked.
  7. Was pretty anonymous tbh. Ashley Williams and Chico had him in their pockets. Didn't threaten at all.
  8. Read it again, I never said our team wasn't unbalanced, I said people are over exaggerating it. Like I said, we're 2/3 ('clinical' as Jose said) signings away from having a complete squad.
  9. The Inter fan provided an unbiased analysis of him as a player whereas you were saying stuff like him being technically poor and just saying he's a below average player etc.
  10. On the flip side, even through Jack has been inconsistent the link up play between him, Ramsey and Ozil have been fantastic at times this season. I'm happy he's not playing personally because even if he isn't really in amazing form he's still a quality player. Same with Koscielny.
  11. And play him ahead of Mata, Oscar, Willian and KDB?
  12. Just imagine this forum if we lost to them...
  13. Yeah I'm a big fan too, the complete defender IMO, shame he's toned it down so much technically - he doesn't need to show that side of his game anymore anyway since he's got a proper footballing team ahead of him at City.
  14. Possibly have Shaw & PVA as LB options next season. That would be interesting.
  15. Kompany was/is fantastic technically but Luiz is better in that aspect. In my opinion Luiz is the best CB when it comes to technical attributes and technique.
  16. Don't know what your obsession is with Emelano, as if he's the sole person at the club who makes decisions on transfers...
  17. Azpilicueta is fine at RB, with someone like Todd Kane backing him up.
  18. A few people did, and those people got roasted on here.
  19. Agree with him on the latter. Most people on here believe that our team is very unbalanced but I disagree. Said it at the start of the season that we're probably 2 or 3 signings away from a complete squad which isn't as bad as people are trying to make it out to be.
  20. In your opinion. Personally I think there are different types of defenders - Luiz is more of the aggressor type, going out to try and intercept the ball and forcing the opposition to concede possession early whilst Kompany is the more classic defender. They'd actually complement each other very well. I agree that our system at the moment doesn't really suit Luiz's offensive play at the back because we are pretty poor in possession (especially for the amount of possession we have) but that's more due to the manager allowing him the freedom to do such whilst not implementing a system that allows Luiz's offensive play to be effective. It's more a fault with how the team is set up and how much freedom the manager gives Luiz to do such things (even though he shouldn't be doing it since our system is really not set up for it as I've said already). As I've said before as well, Luiz just needs a run of games to get his match fitness up and then we'll see how it goes from there - I agree that for now though he needs to keep his game simple.
