  1. Wow, so because I like Sturridge as a player I should suddenly become a Liverpool fan? Amazing mate.I don't care about his comments, I know that he's just saying those things to appease the supporters he's with now. Why are you acting like Chelsea treated him fairly and that his comments are unjustified and stuff? He was not given a chance here so it's natural to expect comments like those. They don't bother me though because I don't need Daniel Sturridge to tell me what club is better, that's his personal opinion, I have mine. I don't care about his personal opinions, I rate him as a football player. It's that simple. I'm done arguing now anyway as it seems to be the same argument here over and over again; praise Sturridge a little bit and suddenly you're a traitor, a Liverpool fan, scum etc. I can't be bothered. Don't care if you think I'm all that when I know myself otherwise.
  2. Typical response. Why are you acting like he betrayed us or something when you wanted him gone to begin with?I hate the club he plays for but admire him as a player and always will, one of my favourite players in world football regardless of what club he plays for. Don't see why that isn't fathomable for some.
  3. Ake or Kalas aren't in the same class as Zouma. Kalas has the potential as a CB but Ake won't make it here as a CB, can only see him making it here as an anchor man DM.
  4. Overrated in what sense? Before his Liverpool move most thought Welbeck was better than Sturridge. Liverpool fans thought £12m for Sturridge was overpriced but they're all now saying that it was a bargain. Explain how he has a "fucking shit attitude"? Let me guess: because he complained about not playing at all when those ahead of him were not performing at all? One footed is fair enough but his right foot isn't nearly as bad as you're trying to make it sound. He's a good player and his understanding with Suarez is immense. You sound bitter more than anything; your reasoning sounds more like hate rather than anything.
  5. Again, completely ignoring the fact that it's a completely different market today.Ronaldo would've gone for at least £150m in today's market.
  6. You're completely ignore the fact that Ronaldo and Bale both had more years to settle to PL life than Hazard has...Ronaldo wasn't great until his 4th season in the PL. Similarly with Bale. Hazard's been here for a season and a half.
  7. It's not so much his price valuation, Eden just isn't for sale. Ronaldo is worth a lot more than £80m in today's climate as well. If Ronaldo went today it'd have to be a stupid amount of money.
  8. Yeah Eden told me the other day . On a serious note though... Because of the whole Hazard transfer saga. After the transfer was concluded British media tried to make it look like Eden moved to us because we offered more money in terms of wages when that wasn't the truth - during the saga it was widely reported that us and United and City all offered him similar wages, and during that time a lot reliable Belgian and French media both reported the figure to be around 110-120k (can't remember the exact number but it was around that). Of course when Hazard chose us the wages suddenly increased to £185k. French and Belgian media still reported the same number as mentioned before but some British papers decided to go with the 'Hazard got his head turned by money' story, especially the DM, which is where WAGNH got their number from. The above is exactly why many don't believe the figure.
  9. I take the WAGNH article with a pinch of salt considering there are a lot of assumptions like Hazard being on £185k a week which is absolute rubbish, or the average CFC employee being on £35k a week, and the fact that a lot of our new sponsorships and deals haven't been included.
  10. Doesn't matter if Shaw is English or not, he's just a top, top talent. He's already good enough to walk into our first team.
  11. City aren't Villarreal or Real or Malaga though. City has been Pellegrini's most offensive team in recent history; he has the talent to do such. I honestly believe Yaya is encouraged to get forward more while Fernandinho is the one that picks his runs forward more wisely. It's how they operate as a team and it's why they've scored loads this season. Having just Fernandinho shielding is risky but the rewards are tremendous if done right as City have shown on occasions this year.
  12. Yeah there isn't much difference from Toure as a player but Man City do play a lot more offensive this season so naturally certain players like Yaya are even more gung-ho.
  13. But does that not have more to do with the manager's instructions rather than Toure's defensive abilities?
  14. First you say Yaya has poor stamina and then you say he still has the amazing stamina he showcased during his earlier days... Contradictory much? To begin with, I never even said Yaya was the best midfielder defensively, so I don't get the overreaction here. He's a complete midfielder to me because A. he's good defensively (if he has to be) B. great at getting forward C. technically astute, can shoot, dribble, pass etc. D. has great physical tools. There isn't a real weakness in his game IMO. To me you won't find a more complete midfielder out there at the moment. Certainly not Matic anyway. You're confusing him being given greater freedom to get forward with him being poor defensively. Man City were a lot more solid under Mancini because Toure didn't get forward as much, he was more of a true B2B CM then, but now he's been given even greater freedom by Pellegrini, so it's wrong in my opinion to say that he's been never been good defensively. If Toure has to be more disciplined he'll do so. He's being used more offensively this season; just because that's the case doesn't mean he doesn't know how to defend anymore. I don't get how anyone could say Yaya is 'terrible' at defending, especially when he used to play as a holding midfielder. Just because he plays further up the pitch now (which to me proves that he is the complete CM) doesn't mean he has suddenly lost everything defensively. Call him ordinary or average in defending but terrible is really overstating it. This guy played at CB in a CL final ,granted in a system that protects it's CB quite a bit but still, you can't tell me that he's 'terrible' defensively. By saying he's terrible defensively you're basically saying that if Toure was given a job as the holding midfielder he'd flop... Completely wrong in my opinion, as he's showcased in his career before. There's underrating Matic and then there's overrating him. A couple of things Matic does not have that Toure does like the ability to accelerate past a couple of players, or his ability in the more forward parts of the pitch, is why I wouldn't compare Matic to Toure. Not the same type of players at all. The only young midfielder that comes close to Toure's completeness (that I can think of right now) is Paul Pogba.
  15. It isn't something that's just been made up. Just go watch him play for Barcelona, where he had to be the most disciplined midfielder in the team; he did do well there. He isn't playing as a DM at City anymore either, it's how City play, Fernandinho sits and Toure gets forward.
  16. Because Didi Hamann said Toure is a defensive liability he is?He clearly doesn't understand Toure's role in the team. Fernandinho is the one that sits most of the time while Toure is given the freedom to get forward. Obviously he's going to leave spaces behind him.
  17. Completely disagree. Yaya Toure can play CB comfortably if needed, don't think i can say the same about Matic. Just because Toure doesn't play as a proper DM anymore does not mean Matic is suddenly better than him defensively. Yaya is probably the most complete CM on the planet, Matic isn't in the same class at all.
  18. +1. Need to reduce the average age of our squad, he's past his prime.
  19. Doesn't have Yaya's stamina and isn't anywhere near as well rounded as him either. He's not Yaya esque at all IMO.
  20. Yeah, pretty sure that's the case too. 19 starts already this season if I remember correctly.
  21. What are you on about? He's been United's best player this season, he's played tons. 24 appearances to be precise...
