Nah, Sneijder has brilliant vision, which is one thing Oscar hasn't got (yet hopefully) in his game. Sneijder has insane technique in a lot of things he does, so I wouldn't compare him to Oscar at all.

Carrick isn't at the top of his game but having a willing runner like Cleverley or Fellaini might reduce that offset. I still think Carrick is a great link between defence and attack but obviously United in general just aren't having a good season.

BBC Sport (who are more credible) have confirmed that we've accepted a bid of around £37m and that Mata is having his medical tomorrow.

United have a link between their attack and midfield - he's called Carrick. We haven't had a player like that until we signed Matic. It's what we've missed and is exactly why we're so vulnerable when Mata does play in the centre. The funny thing is we've actually fixed a lot of that through Matic now; but we'll never know since Mata's gone now. I would not be surprised if he had an Ozil like effect on United.

Very true, but if Rooney is going he'll surely be their number 1 striker, or they'll split game time again. Maybe we can throw in a good offer to Real which will allow them to perhaps get a better second choice striker than Morata if they did accept a bid from us. Not saying that it'll happen but I'd be delighted if that was a possibility.

Rumours that Real want him. If so I'd take Benzema off them, whom I think is the ideal striker for our system.

I don't mind him leaving, but just don't want to see him go to United. Surely we have more pride than that as a club. £42m is a lot of cash though.

As I said before, now that we have a proper CM pairing with Matic and whoever, I think that playing Mata at number 10 shouldn't be such a problem anymore for Jose. Jose should utilise Mata's skill sets in the right way, especially against teams that sit deep and pack 11 men behind the ball. Mata would be ideal at number 10 in those situations - especially if he had a solid CM behind him. Hopefully Jose tries this but I doubt it. The thing is we've actually played pretty well over our last couple of games. To me, Mata should be sold so he can save his career. He's too good to be a benchwarmer. I wouldn't want to sell him to United though, unless it was a ridiculous offer.

£37m is a lot of money, Jesus. Just the fact that it's United is the bit that's putting me off a bit - however, if they could sweeten the deal by perhaps give us something like £25m + Rooney I would 110% do it.
