I like HMS, but I've never seen him as the type to be the spearhead of a team? I know he can play up front but isn't he like Schurrle in the fact that he operates better from the flanks where he can start his runs from deep and utilise that cracking long shot he has?Firmino would be an interesting buy too actually, even though he is more of a 10 than a 9, but he's impressed me when he had to fill in up front. His link up play is obviously very good because of his number 10 background. Would be an interesting project. Destro, haven't seen much of tbh...

£18.2m - £10m = £8.2m on transfer fee left. Wages = £10m -> £6m of that being discarded as compensation so we save £4m there. So subtracting that £4m from £8.2m it seems like neither is the case and we're rather just losing £4.2m for this year. I'm very sleepy so this might be completely wrong .

£40m though? I'll take a Falcao loan definitely (feel like he needs to prove himself after that injury) but I don't think I'd spend £40m on him. £20m loan fee is bloody excessive as well.

Van Gaal is being very naive atm, you can't play this type of open football with players like Evans and Anderson still about. You can see the philosophy he's trying to develop but the players aren't there for it at all. United need at least 3 more top players in my book. 1 CM, 2 defenders.
